Wings were great. When it says spicy...they mean it. Parmesan wedge fries were awesome.

After researching breakfast places I haven't been to, I decided this would be a good place to check…read moreout. I was surprised to see it tucked away in the strip and had it not been for the sign, I def would have missed it. When I first walked in, I was greeted immediately and shown to a table. I happened to be one of five people there (2 couples), so it's nice to know there are other early risers like myself. Prior to coming, I looked at the menu online so I'd have an idea of what I wanted once I went. I stuck with water and got the scrambled combo with cheddar, spinach, and green peppers. It also comes with potatoes and your choice of toast, a biscuit, or an English muffin. I got the sourdough toast. One of the plus sides to being an early riser is that the places you go aren't packed, which means you'll get your food quicker. Mine came out in record timing (then again it helps when you're 1 of 5 people there, 4 of which already have their food). The first couple bites were meh. Once I sprinkled salt and pepper, it was like the eggs and potatoes came to life! The toast was as I expected (good), then again, I have yet to taste sourdough that wasn't good. Overall, my server was kind and attentive. The vibe of the restaurant was as quiet and cozy, then then again, it could have been the fact that his was 8:15 am. Regardless, I liked it enough to want to return!

Food is always fresh and good and reasonably priced. They could use one more server to help out.read more

Absolutely loved our breakfast here! My husband and I sat on the patio overlooking the river, and…read morethe view alone made it worth the visit! So peaceful, beautiful, and the perfect start to our morning! What truly made the experience exceptional was our server, Jenn. She was incredible from start to finish!! She was warm, attentive, and genuinely thoughtful. She made great recommendations, checked on us at all the right times, and went above and beyond in ways you don't see often. My husband is picky about biscuits and gravy, and Jenn kindly brought him a sample of the gravy first to make sure he'd like it...such a small gesture to some people, but truly made it special for my husband. She even sent us off with coffee to go, which we really appreciated!! The food was just as impressive. I had the traditional breakfast. Everything was cooked perfectly, the potatoes were nice and crispy, Jenn recommended the ham, which was so flavorful and perfectly charred, so good!!! My husband ended up loving his biscuits and gravy! Between the amazing service, delicious food, and relaxing riverfront setting, this was easily one of our favorite breakfast experiences. Jenn truly made it memorable, and we'll definitely be asking for her every time we come back. Can't wait to return!!

What a charming cafe in the middle of a charming Downtown area!…read more It was freezing the morning we went in, but I was wanting breakfast - specifically pancakes. I had this place in the bookmarks and figured now was the best time to visit. Parking can be an issues in Downtown St. Charles since it is limited to street parking or public parking a few blocks away. We found parking right in front of FPC, mainly because it was a cold, Monday morning. We were greeted immediately, and inside was much smaller than I expected. We got seated right away though, and a good chance to really review the menu. I got a house coffee (delicious), and my husband got a Purple Haze Lemonade. We ended up getting a kid's pancake with bacon and scrambled eggs, Short Rib Breakfast Stack, and a Bomb Burrito. The pancake for my 2 year old was MASSIVE so it was a good day for him lol. The short rib stack was yummy - hash browns with runny eggs and meat on top. The burrito was also pretty good. Our breakfast entrees came with a side order of potatoes and while it was good, it got saltier over time so I might not get that next time. They advertise beignets, so we might go for that next time and try out their lunch menu!

Very popular and interesting restaurant with a few locations in the Midwest. Food is American…read moreversion of Mediterranean, which is a great combination. Management puts a lot of attention into quality of food, service, and the dining experience. One detail is the bread service and no corners are cut with delicious fresh baked bread and some type of spread that is delicious but I have no idea what it was. One reason the restaurant is so popular is the bar area where they cook the pizzas and prepare the drinks is very inviting and blends into the dining room which spills into the outdoor patio. It is a very nice layout that creates an environment of hospitality. This is the second time I've eaten in as many locations and the service has been professional and good. Management takes time to make sure the staff is well trained. Although this is a chain, management takes great care to provide a good experience for the guests and everything seems homemade.

YaYa's is so good. If you just go and sit and have the Baba Ghanoush, you can be happy! I love it…read morewith the fresh dribble of oil and that warm fluffy bread, it is craveable. I pretty much get the same thing every time, I cannot help it. That Free - Range Chicken is super flavorful. With crispy potato, roasted garlic, olives, chilies, caper berries, and pan jus. Lick the plate good. I am not a dessert person, see Baba Ghanoush info above! But I have to mention the Buttercake as we cannot go to YaYa's without one of the members of my family ordering at least one slice. Fresh baked buttercake, house made whipped cream, vanilla bean ice cream, fresh berries, and caramel sauce. I don't understand it but they always talk about it. Service here is always on point, food is always fantastic, it is a lively place
