This place is not that far from our house, but we had never been here! We tried a few weeks ago and it was packed and so many people were waiting for tables, that we left and decided to try again another time. We got there around 8:00 on a Saturday morning and were seated immediately. There were people there, but there were plenty of tables still available. Everything inside was very clean. I mean clean clean. My husband and I both noticed - and mentioned - it. The menu is huge! We were working our way through it when our server, Terrie, came over. She helped us make decisions about what to order. She was a great server and was attentive and friendly the entire time we were there. We would definitely ask to be seated in her section next time we go! We over ordered! The portions are generous. But everything we had was really good and I don't regret one bite. I brought my daughter to this location for our first visit and our experience was amazing! We were greeted by a friendly hostess as soon as we walked in, and we were immediately sat. Our waitress Brooke was kind and attentive. I mentioned that it was our first time visiting, and Brooke gave us samples of their freshly squeezed orange juice, which was very tasty. I chose the corn beef and hash with three buttermilk pancakes, but really wanted to try their potato pancake, so Brooke brought me out a potato pancake to try and it was so good! Great pancakes and good service. The apple pancake was delicious and enormous. We had to take half home. The server was so nice and advised us for warming it up later at home. The plate was full of pancakes We also had a fajita skillet (which comes with a side of 3 pancakes) and a side of bacon which were both excellent. Team breakfast after a Saturday morning softball game brought us here. They were able to seat us pretty quickly for the size of our party. Service was great as well. My middle daughter ordered the Triple Berry Waffle and we shared The Bacon Works platter. They didn't have a platter with the waffle and adding a la cart can get pricey. The Triple Berry waffle was so good! The amount of fruit they put on it is pretty impressive. It tasted more like dessert than breakfast. I got the French toast instead of the pancakes because I'm honestly not a fan of their pancakes, but I loved the Brioche French toast. I'm a non pork eater but my daughter loved the bacon. I did like that they have turkey and chicken sausage on their menu which I'll have to try in the future. My husband ordered the corned beef hash with over easy eggs. They came with 3 pancakes. While he enjoyed the corn beef, he was also not a fan of the pancakes. My youngest daughter ordered the chorizo omelet and upgraded her pancakes to the chocolate chip ones. She enjoyed both. The parking lot has a lot of parking which was nice. It was nice to be able to join the waitlist prior to arrival but I don't know that it actually worked well. We waited for more than an hour to get our table. I should note that this was a Sunday morning at brunch time. Our server was wonderful. My friend ordered a small orange juice and they didn't have any chilled glasses so she got a medium and did not pay an up charge. The food was good and the portions were large. We shared the eggs and bacon breakfast and the gluten free strawberry pancakes. The eggs were cooked perfectly. The bacon is thick and crispy which was phenomenal. The regular stack of pancakes were delicious. The star was the gluten free strawberry pancakes. It's hard to tell they are gluten free. They were fabulously delicious. One of my favs!!! Plenty of parking. Use the yelp waitlist or be ready to wait. Peak times can be 70-100 minutes of bonding time with your party. Service is excellent. Food quality and taste is excellent. The fresh squeezed OJ hits different. Maybe it's the quality of their oranges but it always tastes so fresh and sweet. My fav is the hash brown. What stands out at Original Pancake house is the quality of food! There is a reason there is always a wait and it's worth it, especially if you join the waitlist on Yelp before you anticipate to arrive. While a little pricey, the portions are huge with enough to share. The bacon is the best bacon you'll find in a restaurant. We have never been disappointed with anything we've ordered and they accommodate any changes you'd like to make. A little hint if you don't have a big appetite is to order from the kids menu. Made a trip to the Original Pancake House (OPH) in Chesterfield, MO. Our visit came on a Thursday morning and was able to get seating during the breakfast rush. Our server saw we were all running on empty and loaded us up with fresh coffee while we reviewed the menu. I was informed OPH provides hearty portions and everything on the menu is delicious. I have to admit I was intimidated by the diverse menu but felt comfortable going for something new. We ordered several variations of crepes with traditional breakfast dishes, ham and bacon with eggs. Meals came with a side of delicious buttermilk pancakes. Syrup was served hot and not too sweet. Everything was delicious, perfectly seasoned and our server kept the coffee flowing. Original Pancake House can meet any pallet and prices are very reasonable. Service was awesome and decor reminded me of a comfortable log cabin. The portions are large and many times we end up bringing some leftovers home. One thing I would highly recommend, particularly on the weekends, it's to join the waitlist. The place gets mobbed between like 9 and 11:30-12 in our own experience. The wait then can be well over an hour, so definitely join the waitlist if you can. I always get the Swedish pancakes, but when we walked in this time, there was a huge sign saying pumpkin pancakes, so that is what I went with, and they did not disappoint! My son did get them though so I have to have a bit of his. His girlfriend got bacon pancakes, and my husband got some sort of eggs and bacon dish. I met my son for breakfast here the week of Christmas 2025. I hadn't been here since I retired & moved out of eureka 4 years ago, but before I retired I used to bring clients and employees here for the food and was looking forward to the meal. The table service was not overly fast, but the food was out quickly and hot. I ordered a triple berry waffle with 2 scrambled eggs on the side, my son got chocolate chip pancakes (fyi he's in his 30's). We both had coffee and that was better than I remembered, not bitter or overly strong. The triple berry topping was unbelievable and very fresh. Strawberries, blueberries, blackberries made up the three and topped with a generous scoop of whipped cream. I regret to say my son didn't finish his pancakes but I didn't ask why. They looked fine and had plenty of mini chocolate chips on them. As usual there was a good amount of kitchen help cranking the food out. A little tip, I set the meal for 8:30 AM after looking at Yelp's little bar chart on when the restaurant would be least busy. We got good parking and were seated upon arrival. We had a few things to talk about so when we left, around 9:30, the waiting area was overflowing with more people outside. What a disaster this place is, super excited to go. Took my daughter here for her birthday breakfast...bad idea. She got the crepe and side of bacon, I got the chorizo omelette and crispy hash browns and toast, the omelette was brown and crispy, carving into it....I found the inside had no egg, truly gross. My hash browns showed up completely burnt. My daughter grabbed a piece of bacon that broke in her hand when she picked it up. We then waited 28 minutes as our food sat on the edge of our table purposely to ensure someone would notice. Eight (8) times a server came by until our server finally came by and asked if we wanted a box (half hour). I made clear I would rather go to McDonald's than eat the trash they presented to us. The manager came over and noted they bake their omelets, glad she was self effacing to recognize how bad an idea that was. She did not comp all the destroyed food. I paid, and provided a $0 tip.
