We always order the chicken pad Thai and shrimp fried rice that's easily shared between the two of us and always having leftovers, and we can eat! The food is good, although the rice can be slightly bland at times, but for the price you can't beat it. Don't expect to dine-In though as they have no dining room, take-out only!!! The SO took me here today swearing it was THE BEST pad thai and THE BEST egg rolls she had ever eaten...and I know my thai food. Upon entering, I realized that it was either delivery or pick-up only, as there were no seating areas. Luckily, we had phoned it in to be picked up and sat outside in the nice 100 degree Arcadia weather...but it was a nice day, and we were sitting in the shade. I thought the egg rolls were a little bit too greasy, and the pad thai was definitely not THE BEST, but I think I would give it a try again. However, the portions are huuuge! Really great Thai food that's inexpensive. It's a tiny little place that's take out only. We usually get the pad thai with tofu, spicy fried rice with beef and larb with chicken. Normally we'd ask for medium spicy at Thai restaurants but Spices Thai's mild can be hotter than medium so be careful. read more

Awesome Thai Food! Prices are pretty good for what you get About $8 a plate or so. The Pad Thai and the Pad See Ew are both really good. The Pad See Ew here has Chinese broccoli too so that's a big plus in my book. You can't really go wrong ordering here. Sriracha fried rice is nice too. Take out only. People are really nice. I agree with the pad Thai being too mushy and gross, but other items are good! my only complaint was the sweet and sour chicken special, or should I say sweet and sour veggie special ..they only put like 4 tiny pieces of chicken in my order the rest were veggies!! my brother got shrimp pad Thai and he only found 3 shrimps! lol really!? My fave Thai restaurant when I want something fast. This place is just a to go spot, there are no seats to dine in. I normally get the seafood pad Thai, spicy eggplant with chicken (medium spicy), and papaya salad. I appreciate how I can just call and pickup my food typically within 20 min. Ok so I have had a lot of Pad Thai around the SGV area and I have to say that for the price and convenience, Spices Thai Kitchen completely exceeded my expectations. Even with all the positive reviews I thought, it cannot be THAT good, right? They proved me wrong! The pad thai was freshly stir fried with the perfect amount of "wok flavor", the egg rolls were huge and flavorful! Also, the green tea smoothie was very unique and their boba is cooked perfectly, not too chewy, not too soft. The best part is that they don't add any MSG to their food. I am an avid NON MSG eater because I'm super sensitive to it and the fact that they don't put any really makes me happy and my tummy too. Everyone should give this place a try. Seriously, we all need to support more "Mom and Pop" joints nowadays and it seems like the owners are ACTUALLY Thai!, ironic isn't it, haha. I tried this place after reading all the high ratings by fellow yelpers. Sadly, it was a big let-down! I ordered two daily specials, the pepper beef and the chicken with mixed veggies, and an order of mussels, and everything was BAD. I could not find one saving grace. The pepper beef was not black pepper beef (my fault for mistaking that), it was stir fry beef with bell peppers. But that's not the bad thing. The beef was tough and the whole dish was tasteless.The chicken dish was probably worse, chicken was dry and tough, and the veggies were all overdone! I ate a few bites and threw out the rest! The mussels were not cheap at $9.50, and there were probably not more than 12 mussels. The description on the menu sounded delicious, mussels cooked in garlic, basil and chillies, but when we opened it, all we saw were green leaves covering the mussels. Mussels were dry ! Where did the garlic basil and chilly broth I was expecting go to?? I had substituted the white rice with the brown rice and they did give a huge portion of rice. Maybe the cook had a bad day, but I don't think I've ever had thai food that was cooked that badly before! My husband and I both agreed that it was the worst ever dinner we have had in a very long while. read more

The best Thai food I have ever had. All ingredients are fresh, made to order and delicious. Curries are amazing, chock full of meat and veggies. You'll want to phone in before picking up. A few tips: Cash only No delivery No seating area. We love spicy food (Indian, Hunan Chinese, and we use Rooster sauce instead of ketchup for fries) and we order our entrees "medium" from here. Finally got to try this petite neighborhood takeout place. We love their pad Thai and fried rice. Their satay and the sauce coming with it was very delicious too. I brought my own containers for my togo food and was kind of worried they might not like it because it's too much trouble. However instead of turning me down, they were very willing to use my containers. When I picked my food, I was surprised they gave me a free Thai tea and told me "thank you for saving the planet!"
