My daughter accidentally tasted a small piece and it was clearly bad. Since it was pork, we weren't willing to take any chances. We called the restaurant to request a refund, and instead of being understanding, they were argumentative and rude. They insisted we exchange the food rather than receive a refund. We were told the only person who could authorize a refund was the owner, who wouldn't be available until tomorrow. Bomb! Bomb! Bomb! I was in the mood for a Banh Mi and this hit the spot! The ambiance is super chill!!! They play a variety of music which catches the ear and adds to the senses. The staff is super friendly and they have kick ass service. The sandwich bread was super crunchy, flaky, and messy. The perfect foundation to start off something right. I asked for plenty of jalapeños and cilantro, and they delivered the pickled carrots and daikon add a tinge of sweetness to the sandwich. I chose the grilled steak and onions for my protein and by far this is one of the places I would come back to for another sandwich. I also added hoisin sauce, cause I'm a sucker for that stuff and Sriracha. Steak is super tender and the onions just add the extra flavor that topped it all off. This location's menu is more catered to the younger or American crowd cause it's pretty much all in English and it's basically all pick your own combo. I've eaten here first few times as a dine-in customer, and as a frequent take-out customer post-pandemic, within the span of nearly a decade it feels - food quality is CONSISTENT. With many other places driving up their prices, this place stays reasonably affordable making it a go-to compared to other places. Selling good quality food at an affordable rate is, like In-N-Out, a sure way to have repeat customers lining out the door for your business. Very disappointing Saturday takeout experience. The egg rolls and dry noodles were good, but the chicken pho was surprisingly bad . We opened our order within 30 minutes of picking it up, so it wasn't a timing issue. Their service is usually reasonably fast and friendly, and the place was still busy with many people waiting in the lobby. But the food quality tonight was not up to their usual standard. At this point, it doesn't feel worth the wait or the price anymore. We really hope that they can improve their quality control to make sure the food they serve consistently meets expectations. This is my absolute comfort food on lazy days! I'm so glad that they opened up an app where you can place your order online and can skip the wait. I grew up loving to eat at Golden Deli since their food is always consistent. They're located on Las Tunas Dr with minimal street parking and a parking lot in the back. It wasn't too difficult to find parking since the nearby businesses were already closed when I went to go pick up my order. I ordered a #2 with lean cut beef and a side order of egg rolls. If you ask them for no veggies, they give you an extra egg roll when you order their 5 piece. I love the rice paper rolled egg rolls that are deep fried to give you a perfect crunch with every bite. I did go home and reheat the broth and I thought that there was a ton of flavor without needing to add anything in it. read more

This place have street parking, is quite busy so make sure you come ahead of time with anticipation on waiting at least 30-45 minutes for a table (sometimes more). i heard a lot of good thing about their original location, but thought to check out their temple city location because I'm already around the area. ordered their broken rice dish, because i wasn't in the pho mood, and also - you can't go wrong with broken rice. their dish was delicious, their eggrolls were good but not amazing where i'd order 5 or 6 for $17, which is an insane price for eggrolls by the way (no matter how amazing they taste). their combo was a better price and you can choose eggroll as one of their side dishes (so you can try it without the heafy cost), I do think overall it was okay as Vietnamese food, but to consider them top tier, probably not. maybe something was lost in transition when building this add on place but i felt like if i were to wait this long, i should be having the most amazing food? but their service is more like self service, very rushed and not really enough time in explaining for first timer. i don't think i would come back per say. but good try. will try their original location and hope for better experience very loud of a place by the way - expect that if you are not a fan of overstimulation since we are all sharing our honest truths. The location interior design seems a lot more modern, and definitely not as busy.
