So - there are actually 3 different entries on Yelp for this same food truck, all with the same 469 phone #. So I've copied and pasted my same review to all 3 of their entries. We couldn't be happier with the service and the quality of the food we got yesterday at this food truck when they were in Kaleidoscope Park, Frisco. We saw a note on Instagram that they were coming, and when I called the number on Saturday a super nice woman named Danielle answered and couldn't have been friendlier. I could hear she was busy in the background, but she steered us right by suggesting we place our order ahead of time online for next day pickup. Very excellent advice. The next day the line was already huge when we got there - I walked up to the front and asked the woman working the table "is there a separate line for pre orders?" and she pointed to where I was standing, off to the side of the huge line, and said "right here." 5 minutes later we had the freshest, tastiest food we've had in a long time. The crawfish was a huge hit - and authentic. The corn and potatoes were cooked in the juice with the crawfish and had all that flavor. The boiled shrimp were huge, fresh, and delicious. And the fried catfish? Oh my GOD - the best flavored catfish in DFW! I don't know what spices they use, or who is doing the frying, but big round of applause to them! I only wish I'd been smart enough to order more - the two pieces were big, but I could have eaten 5 more. Especially after sharing small bites with the others in my group. Against my better judgment, I decided to give Spicy Tails another chance and it was disappointing. This time, they forgot my corn and potatoes that I paid for, which is unacceptable. On top of that, most of the crawfish were gritty, which tells me they were not cleaned properly. That completely ruined the experience. To make matters worse, the crawfish were also very small. Between missing items, poor quality, and lack of attention to detail, I will not be returning. read more

They are very unprofessional. The lady took my order had be waiting 30 mins, then when she called me she stated that they ran out of Turkey Necks, how you do not know that you are out of food that you are selling. Then when she refunded my money on my card she said it takes 24 hours to put it back on there. Also the truck doesn't look sanitary, it's very nasty. Gave this place a try at the Manifest Your Purpose Event in partnership with Yelp. We were given a ticket that was worth $10 and were told if we purchased something that costs more than $10 we'd just have to pay the difference. No problem. I order a piece of catfish a la carte ($7) and Boudain egg rolls ($9) which means I'd have to pay the difference of $6. When the cashier rang me up, I heard the owner say "I don't want to use the ticket for the boudain eggroll," so the cashier takes my ticket and honors the catfish but charges me full price for the egg rolls without acknowledging what she was going to be doing, leaving $3 unused out of my comp ticket. I paid assuming that maybe it was $9 after taxes but after looking at the receipt and seeing tax was only .74 cents I circled back to ask why I couldn't use the full value of my $10 ticket. They didn't give me an explanation and ended up giving me a refund. They shorted me on the refund, but at this point I'm not going to sweat over the small amount. For me it was about the principle. If this is a deal you made with an organization, then honor it. Point blank period. And if for some reason you're unable to honor it, then instead of saying you didn't want to do said thing in front of me, have a conversation with me and maybe explain why it won't be possible. It just felt money hungry to me and overall like bad business. The food was good but based on that experience I wouldn't go back. read more

This is the second time we have had their crawfish at Rollertown in our hometown of Celina. We had 14lbs of crawfish, a pound of shrimp and some boudin balls. The crawfish is extremely seasoned and really doesn't need the extra dust but we sprinkled them anyway. The shrimp was outta bounds good. No clue how they absorb that much flavor without being overcooked and the boudin balls were money. The folks are extremely nice and keep their cool when it gets busy which I appreciate more than anything. Everytime they are at Rollertown we will be there. I went there today not 10 minutes ago and ordered the #3 they are food truck sitting outside of dollar general, the boil was immediately done and when he have gave me the bag it was Luke warm/cold. I told them I didn't mind waiting for a fresh bag, the owner of the business got out his car trying to tell me personally the crawfish wasn't cold out the bag they have gave me. Best Cajun food I've ever had! I had catfish at the Firehouse 52 the night before but couldn't finish it because it was too thick, gross breading, and just plain nasty. I tried the catfish at spicy tails and dipped it in their Cajun tartar sauce and it was fantastic! First time I've had stuffed shrimp (with crab meat) and it was excellent too. The fried shrimps were huge and the seasoning was so good I ate the tails too! I've never done that before. Fries were perfectly crispy and everything was piping hot and super fresh. I was super full and was very sad when it was all gone. It's not cheap, but for that price you get the best of the best. It's because they have 3 cooks from New Orleans back there making everything fresh with their own blend of seasonings. Service was fast and they even brought me my food to my car in the pouring rain. This is a food truck in front of the Dollar General which totally threw me off. I placed an online order at 1pm to pick up my order at 3pm. It's pretty pricey (but I was expecting the food to match the price). Let me also say, I normally host my own seafood boils so my review may be biased a bit. When I do dine out for seafood I usually go to Shell Shack, Boiling Crab, or Krab Kingz. This place is like none of those. They pre heat the food and then place them in warmers (coolers). I ordered shrimp, crab legs, and sausage. I asked for Cajun seasoning on all of my food - there was none. The only flavors I tasted were some salt & pepper and nothing more. Like the menu says, it is JUST boiled seafood and nothing more. The shrimp are very small, the crab is snow, and the sausage is basic smoked breakfast sausage. I actually had to add my own seasoning/butter mix to spice it up but I also eat seafood often. I personally will not be coming back but this may work for those who are looking for a quick seafood read more

Congrats on your first day open in Aubrey. We picked up a large amount of boiled crawfish this afternoon and a couple fish/shrimp dinners. The crawfish were WAY too salty. So much so that we had to stop sucking the heads after about the fifth crawfish due to the intense salt flavor. We did not enjoy the crawfish at all. However, we did enjoy the fish/shrimp dinners. The fish/shrimp had a good seasoned flavor and were fried very well. Since it is just your first day to be open we are planning to give the crawfish a second chance with another purchase on a future weekend - crossing my fingers that you can get the saltiness under control. read more
