I haven't had a good mangonada since I've moved up to the Bay Area but this was one of the best ones I've ever had, even over SoCal spots. Reminded me of frutería places I would go to in SD. The burrito was also one of the best breakfast burritos I've ever had, it's not super large but it packs a ton of flavor (que sabroso)! Also, my husband usually never comments on his coffee because he just drinks it black but he said it was one of the better ones he's had in awhile. When I saw this place first time I was with my mother. We decided to give it a shot and boy do I not regret it. You walk in the first time and it's like "wow" the atmosphere is very calm and peaceful. The service, the employees do happen to speak Spanish so there's some diversity with the workplace. If you struggle speaking Spanish you can still say what you want in English and they'll still understand you. The food is yummy not often get a bite to eat there but I once got myself some mozzarella sticks and they were delicious. If you find yourself near the area and want to try it out the first time, I recommend the aloha house specialty, tastes almost like a 7-11 slurppe that can never melt. Pure perfection. read more

Wanted to try this place as it was one of the shops I haven't visited in the area. The shop itself is very nice and would have been a great place to study and get some work done. I ordered a dragon fruit paradise with 50 sweet, less ice. The cashier was very nice and got my drink to me pretty quickly. My first reaction to the drink was that it wasn't too sweet, which is good. But as I was tasting it more, I couldn't really tell what the flavors were. I did not taste any dragon fruit, I could see the strawberry pulp, but couldn't really taste it, and could kinda make out pomegranate. I gotta say, it was kinda mediocre at best but still gets the job done. It was refreshing and allowed me to make it home after work. One thing that kinda rubbed me the wrong way is that there was a 22 cent non cash fee (which they don't explicitly tell you about) and the receipt said the drink was $5.50 but the menu said $5. I didn't get any topping, and maybe it could be tax, but tax would have made it ~5.45. I wasn't gonna fight for these extra cents, but still kinda off putting. Overall, very cute shop with what seems to be good food option, but the drink I got was alright. read more

Spill The Tea takes over the old Teaquation spot in Redwood City. I was in the neighborhood and saw this place. There still is a Teaquation sign up, and the interior is basically the old Teaquation decor as well, only decorated with a Halloween theme. The staff were friendly and attentive as I ordered a Lychee Mania (Lychee Black Tea) and a Custard-filled Pastry. My order was ready in no time. The drink was refreshing, and the Pastry was tasty. I got the House Crepe and Strawberry Horchata. The House Crepe was okay. It was nice having a lot of ingredients in the Crepe, filled with Chicken, Turkey, Tomatoes, Spinich, Pesto, and Swiss Cheese. Although, it didn't have enough Pesto that you barely tasted it and the Turkey was just deli sliced Turkey. Also, the Powdered Sugar that the Crepe was topped with gave it a little of a weird taste. The Strawberry Horchata was a weird combination of Pureed Strawberry and Cinnamon. I got that one because people recommended this one but it just a weird combination that should not happen in drink form. Overall, the Crepe was okay, but the drink was horrible. Both of them had pretty mild tea flavor and the lychee jelly clumped together. There are a lot of other boba options in this area, so I probably wouldn't come back here again. Amazing place to eat, drink, and work. The WiFi here is really fast and there's not too many people who stay, so it's the perfect place to work or study. The cafe itself is pretty unassuming. It seems to be a mix between a boba shop and a cafe with sandwiches and crepes, but don't sleep on what they have to offer. The drinks are delicious. The strawberry matcha drink they have is probably one of the most aesthetic drinks I've seen in awhile. I've also tried their lychee tea as well and it was very refreshing and the sweetness was adjusted really well for me, the kind of guy who always requests 25% sugar. The crepe was a bit pricey, and when I saw it I was a bit disappointed, but once I cut into it, WOW! There was so much chicken and cheese that it was practically overflowing. We came here after eating at Ranzan as I'm constantly craving boba after any meal. :) Their boba menu was selective and I noticed they specialize in food rather than boba drinks. I still have this place a shot. We shared a matcha milk tea with boba. This $5 drink was pretty disappointing. We couldn't taste any hint of matcha in the drink and instead it tasted like green tea + mung bean with whole milk. The boba was an okay texture, but was still on the chewy side. Overall, I think it's best to head to Boba Guys or Urban Ritual for a boba fixing. Maybe the food here is better than the boba. It is a nice shop with ample amount of seating. The drinks that we ordered were too sweet and when we asked what were in the drinks before we ordered, the cashier did not know and was not able to tell me. We were the only people in there and it took a lot longer than expected to make. (I was in the cigarette shop next door checking my lotto tickets, and when I came back, the drinks were not even ready yet.) I used to frequent Teaquation, which was the previous establishment here. I was disappointed that everything inside looked like the former. Even the Hashtags on the wall were still from Teaquation and Spill The Tea did not give their business their own look. It is like they are not even trying! I would have given this boba place a 1 star, but they have only been open for 2 weeks. i been driving by this place for a while and love the name! Finally stopped in for a cold refreshing drink on a hot afternoon. My husband ordered Strawberry Horchata, I got the Strawberry Matcha, I loooove match anything... his drink was good on ice. My drink was strawberry slushy under the matcha latte, the strawberry slush was soo sweet it was like a melted popsicle, I mixed it hoping the sweet would mellow out, and it was just gross I couldn't drink it any more threw it away felt wasteful. Great drinks, good service, overall a clean and cute boba/crepe/ coffee/sushi cafe. Got the Strawberry Matcha with strawberry popping boba, Dragonfruit Paradise with blueberry hearts and tapioca pearls, and a Mango Adrenaline (Mango slush with Redbull) with mango star jelly and everything is so delicious especially on a warm sunny day. The only thing I would change is the tapioca pearl flavor, it was pretty flavorless but balanced out the sweetness of the drink. I would suggest to soak the tapioca in brown sugar or in honey before serving. The beautiful ladies working were so patient and sweet, the drinks didn't take long, and there were plenty of tables plus two tables in the front. Will be stopping by again. :) read more
