This was my first time trying Molly Tea and I really tried to go in without any bias because of the hype. This is truly an honest review and I'm not lowering my score because of the hype. There was a short line however it moved very fast. I ordered: 1. Jasmine Milk tea with boba: I feel like I have to break this review down into two parts because both were on different spectrums. for the Tea: this was excellent. The jasmine flavor was perfect with high quality jasmine tea flavor. The tea was smooth and perfectly sweetened. The initial drink was definitely lived up to the hype. HOWEVER: Boba: ABSOUTELY DISGUSTING. This was by far the worst boba I've ever had. It was mushy and all stuck together like a clump of snot. The boba was totally overcooked and literally stuck into one big piece. I never sucked up individual bobas through the straw and instead it came up stuck together and came all at once. It was worse than the instant boba you can buy in stores and make yourself. Some people may argue that "this is a tea shop not a boba shop" well it's on the menu and I ordered it so they're responsible for the quality of everything on their menu. My friends told me that "in China, they actually serve boba with it and this shop went rogue and is selling it." Again, if it's on the menu, it's fair game to factor in to their review. Overall, the tea is excellent but don't get it with boba. The boba is complete trash and a disgrace to boba. Moreover, if I'm just paying for milk tea, it's not worth $7+. read more

I visited this Molly Tea location on Tuesday this week. I think there's two order kiosk, but only one of them was working that day. There was a line of people ordering. The shop is really small with some seating inside. The decor is very modern and bright. This store is definitely smaller than the Sunnyvale one. I got the Snowy Peach Oolong Milk Tea with Brown Sugar Boba. The wait was about 18 minutes. A lot of people were just standing there waiting so people had to maneuver o go in & out of the store. When they called out my number to get my drink, I noticed (after I got it), it was sticky on the outside because he didn't wipe the outside of my cup. A lot of the drinks were just sitting on the counter near where he finished drinks are placed. Those drinks were left open for the finishing touches such as the whipped cream or cheese foam. They were very busy, and a lot of people were waiting. The drink itself... It was had nice creamy strong tea flavor. I can definitely taste the peach flavor shining through. BUT the brown sugar boba was not good. The texture of the brown sugar boba was like in those canned boba drinks you would get at an Asian grocery store. That's not real boba. It's more like a jelly instead of actual boba. I would rather go to the Sunnyvale location instead because the quality seemed better. Parking was not too bad. As expected, the premium jasmine milk tea with regular (70%) sweetness is great. I opted for sago as a topping and it didn't really taste like much, but was good. I wish they let you have honey boba but it was not selectable as an add-on. I also tried the tongmu lapsang milk tea, which may be my new favorite. Came by for their grand opening on Sunday a couple weeks ago around 7:15pm and was pleasantly surprised to see that there were only a few other people in line! Found street parking a few blocks away and walked over. Decided to order the Premium Jasmine Matcha and the White Champaca Oolong Milk Tea with recommended ice and sweetness levels. Only had to wait about 5 minutes before my order was ready!
