Considering how dead their business is, you would think that they would be willing to accommodate customers but each time we come here, they have some new obscure policy that makes no sense and is intended to be inconvenient. This time it was some policy that certain seats were only allowed for couples, so single people beware. One has to wonder how much bad service you can put up with for stale Cheesecake Factory wares. My friends and I go every weekend We happy to see another deserts place located in the heart of Vaughan, waiting to be seated it does get busy and you do have to wait but you can't come down on them for that every place you go on a "weekend" is busy. the service is excellent the staff is great, the best words I can say when it does get busy I see the owner stepping in to help out I have never seen that before. I fell in-love with everything form breakfast to cakes, ice cream so yummy I have tried everything on there menu, I even asked if they would cater to my baby shower. overall I am happing and pleased and will be going back over and over again. read more

I had my birthday here and although the group I came was large and that night they were understaffed the food was amazing and came out on time. I visited this location the past weekend. It was on a sunday late afternoon. My friend and i were really impressed when we walked in. Once the server gave us the menus, we started to decide what we wanted and we couldn't believe the choices they have. They had everything with crepes and pizza. We aimed to only have dessert but they're pizza sounded really good. We decided to get the pizza and dessert. Theres been alot of buzz about Spin lately so i decided to check it out last thursday with my boyfriend. The service was quite good considering there was a full house of people and the live music was something different that i really liked which most places dont have. My boyfriend ordered the red velvet cheese cake and i ordered an apple pie milkshake. It tasted exactly like apple pie, wow. I can definitly see my self coming back here again and reccomend this place to anyone who wants to go to a cute desertery with some friends or even a date. read more

Usually, I'm a pretty forgiving customer. I've been a waitress myself for a few years so I know what it's like to be busy. But there was NO excuse for the absolutely horrendous customer service I've experienced on 2 occasions while dining here. On both occasions, myself and my guests waited a long time to be greeted at the door. It was super awkward just standing there trying to get someone's attention as they walked by a bunch of times clearly trying not to make eye contact since they seemed so busy already. Talk about feeling welcome. When we were finally seated, the server was pretty nice, did a good job taking our orders. Clearly seemed like she was being rushed but that wasn't my biggest issue. We ordered hot beverages to go with our ice cream but for some reason the beverages came first and the ice cream came 20 minutes later? Would have been nice to enjoy them together, didn't think I had to specify that when I ordered? On both occasions, our server NEVER came by to check on how we were doing or even to refill our waters. The biggest mess was when it came time to pay. We managed to wave a server down and asked for our bill. 20 minutes later, no bill. Then, we notice our server "cleaning" a table behind us. She actually SAT DOWN AND STARTED TEXTING on her phone, while pretending to clean. WOW. At that point, we walked up to the counter, paid, and left. I just wanted to walk out without paying at that point because of how annoyed I was with the service. The food is great, large portions, decently priced. Fun atmosphere, and love the live music. Such a shame that the service just does not do any of it justice. I really hope the management has a serious talk with their staff about improving their customer service. read more

I would start by saying how it is quality wise a lot better than most places around, but I had such a horrible experience. I entered the Desert Cafe to such a stunning decor, but the service was not the best. This business is highly rated, but there are a few pros and cons I must inform you of. I went with my sister and her 2 kids, My sister and I ordered off their Decadent Deserts menu. My sister ordered Sugar Sugar on a waffle, which was hard as a rock for starters, along with not placing the sauce on the waffle like she requested it was placed on the side. I ordered You Make Me Wanna, and I must say for a day I was CRAVING apple pie this was about to make me not have any cravings at all. I found fingerprints all over my plate and little finger marks throughout my ice cream. The kids had the same idea as myself with apple pie and ordered 2 apple blossoms, they were the size of my palm. The first problem is that they were COLD, second problem is that we paid $10.25 each for the apple blossom. Now to move on from the food lets talk about service. our server was very rustic with the sides of her head shaved. The owner is very unprofessional sitting by the cash register playing on his phone. I personally do not recommend this to anyone I know. read more

Absolutely horrible experience. We dealt with the owner of the store, who is the owner of the entire company now that there is only one location (even though they didn't bother to tell Google that their other location is closed). Claims there is no head office, and no other associate above him. We bought a gift card at their other location which closed less than 6 months ago, planning to use it there but obviously no longer being able to. The owner completely refused to take our gift card, and refused to do anything to help us out about it. He was completely unreasonable and unwilling to even try to see if the gift card would be usable. He tried to use cheap circular logic to say it wasn't a valid card, which made no sense at all. I kept asking him to explain himself, and he would stumble over his words and just end up saying things that made no sense, or had nothing to do with what we were asking. He claims he is the owner of the company - which has done absolutely no rebranding of any kind since the other location closed - but says there is absolutely nothing he is able to do to help us. I'm sorry - but if you own this company, it IS your responsibility to deal with this. I asked him if he's encountered this before, with other customers coming from the now closed location to use their valid gift cards here, and he said yes - and he said he also told them their money was no good. Absolutely horrible service. I will never be returning to this company, and it is a god damn shame. read more

Worst experience ever! Went to Spin because I heard only great things. Only to be extremely disappointed! If I could give NO STAR, thats what I would pick. We spent close to 2 hours in there and will never return again. We were seated, and about half an hour later someone took our order. Out of 6 desserts ordered, ONLY ONE was brought to our table after another 20 minutes or so. We were waiting for the rest of our desserts to be brought to us and instead the table next to us who ordered after us got their order brought to them. UNREAL! To boot, one of the desserts we ordered was cake, instead of bringing it to our table, it sat on the counter at least 1/2 an hour!! When I returned it and asked for a fresh piece, it looked like the exact same one I returned to them. They only changed the ice cream. One thing is for sure, we will never step foot into your location again!!!! read more

Just spent 15 minutes at a table in the centre of the restaurant not being greeted, brought water or my order taken. People that literally just walked in have received service which is unacceptable when there are other patrons who have been waiting. There is more staff than guests and considering this is my first visit I will never be returning. It is not so busy that there is an adequate excuse for this lack of service. I was at Spin this past Tuesday evening with 10 family members. I made reservations about 2 hours ahead. The staff was sooooo courteous and helpful. They gave us a table at the back for more privacy. The waitress was prompt, cheerful and helpful. There was a wide choice of desserts for everyone to be satisfied. We had a great evening. I recommend this place and this occasion for anyone who is looking for a place to get together with people for coffee and dessert. Don't hesitate....you will get service, great food and a pleasant atmosphere. read more

the desserts were very tasty. the menu has a lot more options than demetres and also has better decor. we were greeted quickly after we entered. the waiter got all of our orders correctly even though we made many switches to what was on the menu. the desserts were a good size and you can make any switches to accommodate your wants. i would definitely return whenever i want a little fancy dessert evening. read more

This is the first caffe that i've been to that has such extravagant desserts. I always had a sweet tooth and the dessert was just on point! I ordered a waffle with strawberries and ice cream. The food was great, it's kind of hard to go wrong with ice cream and waffles, however the service was horrendous. Horrible place food is nothing special care mirage is better. Beyond the food the customer service is terrible if you are looking to be disrespected go to spin. Our food was ready waiting at the bar and melting. The waitress went to the washroom comes back 15 mins later with half of it melted puts it on our table doesn't see anything wrong with it and walks away. I have been here a couple times before. I brought some friends with me and was sorely dissappointed. The ice cream and waffle cone were good but don't come when they are busy. Staff aren't able to handle the flow of guests. My group of 4 was waiting 45 min and a party of 5 before us waited even longer. They sat 2 groups ahead of us who came in later. The two groups where also a party of 5 and 4. Which didn't make sense as those two groups that were seated had come in after us to get seats. When we went to complain, I noticed my name crossed out and no one had called for my party. I was standing in front of the cake display, so I would have heard my name being called. The server said some guy used my name and gave a lukewarm apology. It was odd because our party was made up of asians and the party before us that was still waiting was made up of a visible minority(black and asian group). The two groups that got seated ahead of us were Caucasian. What does this tell me about their service? read more
