Great presentation, good qualities and good quantities. The place is busy, even at 1:00am at weekend night it's filled with ice cream lovers! It's probably our 4th or 5th visit, and we find the quality constant and the place busy. Service is good and moderately fast. We had Chill to the Cone, and Hazelnut Cheesecake, both with dark chocolate ice creams. The cheesecake was quite sweet, may be way too sweet . The dark chocolate was good, loved it. Finding parking at the plaza's lot could be challenging as there are so many restaurants and cafes in the plaza, it's always packed!
D-spot is famous for their massively sized and sugar ridden desserts and this one located in Scarborough delivered just that. Once you get over the waft of sugary intoxication that hits you the moment you walk through the door, you'll be welcomed to a cosy but spacious interior with plenty of seating for large or small groups. Staff here are friendly and happy to give you some suggestions on what is a fairly extensive menu packed full of delights. The desserts are more than enough to feed a group of two, three or even four. We shared a creamy dreamy mango waffle, and the name does it justice. The waffle was melt in your mouth, and paired with a slightly sharp but ridiculously sweet mango ice cream, it just puts you into a sugar coma! I also tried their toffee cookie dough - I wasn't too keen on this. I felt the toffee syrup didn't really match the cookie. The only complaint I'd have is for them to have more chocolatey desserts that don't have nuts - as someone who is allergic! Otherwise, a definite visit for a sweet toothed person like me!

The service was also slow but it's a good place to satisfy those sweet cravings.
Such an awesome dessert place. They have a very extensive dessert menu, they also serve pizzas, hotdogs and fires if you're in mood to have full meal here. I was searching for some dessert places in Scarborough and this place came up so I decided to give it a try. I gotta say it is very busy for a Sunday night, considering everyone has to work the next day. It has some nice decorations inside, and approx. 20-30 chairs. It's is definitely a family friendly place because there were a lot of families with their kids even babies. The menu has a lot of options, including crepe, waffles and pancakes, and you can choice one of them to go with the fruits and ice cream. We ordered the Thank You Berry Much with crepe. It came with fresh strawberries and strawberry ice cream. The ice cream had at least 3 servings and definitely meant for sharing. The crepe tastes fresh, and nicely made. However, the ice cream tasted just like any Breyer ice cream, straight out from the tub, and I could even taste the artificial coloring from it. There's nothing wrong with it, maybe I just have a picky pallet for ice cream. We stayed and chatted for a bit longer, and around 10pm there were still people coming in and lining up. I'm sure it's great for business, but it was also extremely loud and I could barely hear my friend from the other side of the table. If you are looking for a place to fix your sugar cravings, and don't care about the environment, then definitely bring your friends here and hang out. But if you are on a date and looking for a quiet place to get to know each other, I would recommend to go somewhere else.

Price Range (Not including tax and tip) - $5-$10 for drinks. $8-$15 for desserts. I'd say the price is very similar if not a tad bit cheaper than other dessert places like Demetres. Food Quality (Taste, Portion Size, Menu) - 4/5 They have a really large dessert menu with so many different ice cream options, I was pretty impressed. They offer food too but I only had the dessert. I had the Belgian Hot Chocolate which was around $6 and I was skeptical at first but it tasted amazing and was pretty huge too. It was really rich in flavour. I also had the "Undercover Nut Crepe" (Pistachio Ice Cream with Pistachio curls) and it was so good, pretty filling and the ice cream was bomb. It was a large serving so I'm glad I split it with a friend. It definitely hit the spot for my sweet tooth. Atmosphere -4/5 It has a really fun, family/friend vibe. I like the design of the place, has a kind retro look to it. It gets pretty busy on weekend nights so you might have to wait a bit. I always love the music they have playing in the background, its not too loud so its perfect if you just want to chill somewhere and talk. They have a decent amount of seating, I'd say its ideal for a group of 4. They have their own parking lot so parking is easy. Service - 5/5 All the waiters/waitresses are really nice and and friendly. They come regularly to check on you to make sure everything is good and to see if you need more water. They usually give realistic wait times. Orders come out at a reasonable time, never had to wait long for it. They do a pretty good job at describing their stuff and giving recommendations so if you're ever stuck, feel free to ask them! Would I go there again? For sure! It's starting to become my default late night Scarbz dessert place when I want a basic, filling desserts. Lash's Recommendations Belgian Hot Chocolate - It's really rich and there is a lot, so if you're feeling like something sweet and comforting, this is your drink! Undercover Nut Crepe - If you love pistachios, definitely try this! It's huge, so unless you're really hungry, split this with a friend!
Very cute place to grab dessert! The desserts are definitely picture worthy for Instagram and the portions are HUMONGOUS. I ordered the Oh Henry cheesecake for $12. Ate the vanilla ice cream but took the rest of the cheesecake home, since unfortunately there's a limit to the amount of sugar I can take in one sitting! I found that the cheesecake must have been old and sitting in the fridge for awhile as the texture was tough - my spoon couldn't cut through my cake unless I applied more force. The peanut butter and chocolate flavour is always a great duo though! Ambiance and service was also great here. I'd say this is a D-ecent spot to catch up with an old friend, or even for a date before you hit the movies across the street.

I came here the other night with some friends to satisfy our ice-cream craving. I ordered: The Cookie Monster - $14.50. (Waffle with cookie dough ice cream, cookie dough chunks, brownie chunks, chocolate drizzle & whipped cream), however I substituted the brownies for strawberries. The size of this dessert is huge and definitely worth it. I for sure recommend it. My friends ordered: - Onion Ring Poutine This dish is so good, but I recommend eating it quickly as the gravy makes the onion rings soggy fast. - BBQ Chicken Poutine This dish wasn't the greatest. Chicken was a little bland and the sauce overwhelmed the fries. - Jolly @ Heart Jolly rancher ice cream on a waffle topped with sprinkles, jolly rancher pieces and strawberries. This was soo yummy and will definitely satisfy your sweet tooth - Road Trip Rocky road ice cream on a waffle topped with brownies, white chocolate curds, almonds and hot fudge sauce. This was also very good and definitely chocolaty. Overall my experience here was good. This cafe is a bit small and can get pretty busy during evenings, but service is fast and the food is fresh. But I will definitely be returning.
This place is perfect for kids and young adults who can handle the sugar rush you get from their HUGE desserts. Overheard the young men next to us planning to split a dessert three ways, that gives you an idea on how big they are. I've outgrown my sweet tooth a loooong time ago but hubby still has his and nurses it periodically. You need to wait to be seated, lots of available tables on a Monday night. Decor looks like an adult version of an ice cream parlour (see pic). Noisy crowd with Miley Cyrus playing in the background and blenders whirring away. Ordered the twisted chocolate shake (had a shot of espresso) and hubby had the apple pie pancakes. The pancakes were dense and dry and the cooked apples had pieces of apple peel in it. Could not handle the sugar overload. Pluses: close to the movie theatre and open late with free Wifi.
It has been a great experience we went there for a breakfast dessert kind of mood and yes they made our day with splendid service and quality food and desserts! If you have a sweet tooth then it is a good idea to try them!
I'm always on the look out for a new dessert spots to try out, and I recently got the chance to check out D Spot in Toronto. This place is definitely not new, it seems to be very worn out with some of the seats being damaged. There is a strange odour that comes throughout the restaurant and it is quite off putting to dine in with it lingering. The staff are alright but the service can be quite slow due to how busy this place can get. When it comes to the food, it's alright. They do have quite an extensive menu but again there's nothing that is so good I would come back specifically for. I have tried several items including the: Banana Pudding, a few of their milkshakes (Kid In Me, Man-Go-Wild, and Chilled Hot Chocolate. Also have tried their crepes including the Heaven on Earth. Lots of variations to choose from just nothing special. 6/10 recommend! read more
D-Spot is my happy place! From the moment you walk in, the vibe is so cute! cozy, fun, and perfect for dessert lovers like me. The decor is super cute and gives off those chill, hangout-with-friends kind of vibes. It reminds me of Demetris Now the desserts? Incredible. Visited On: November 8, 2019 Meal: Drink Dining Style: Dine-in Would I Return: Yes Ordered: -Chilled Hot Chocolate Milkshake ($6.90) Thoughts: Service : OKAY We arrived around 9PM on a Saturday. D-Spot is located in a plaza so there's plenty of free parking available. As we were walking in, we could see many people crowded by the door. We entered and decided to ask what the wait time was. Since it was super busy we couldn't find a server, we went back to the car. We called to ask about the wait time and surprisingly they said 5 minutes so we let them know we'd wait in the parking lot. A table became available within 5 minutes and they called to let us know. As we re-entered, we got seated immediately. However, the service was a bit slow from that point and I understand that it was probably since they were extremely busy. Also, at one point, I think chilies were burning in the kitchen because it for very smokey for some time and everyone started coughing. Drinks : BETTER THAN EXPECTED I asked the waiter if the Banoffee milkshake was popular and he said the not really and that the Nutella and Together Forever were more popular. My second option was the Chilled Hot Chocolate milkshake, so I ended up ordering that. To my surprise, it was better than I had expected and I really enjoyed it. D-Spot is a family friendly dessert place with options for pizza and other hot foods. A variety of flavours of waffles or crepes to chose from. Also hot and cold beverages. Came here on a Friday night, needless to say the place was packed! The dessert came out within a reasonable time, our waters were refilled without asking and the waiter came to make sure that everything we okay. We ordered an espresso yourself waffle, let's talk about something waffle and east meets west waffle. Big portions with a generous amount of toppings, I would recommend sharing a plate of waffle (we were all unable to finish our own). Also would like to mention, one of those rare places where the actual food served looks exactly like the photo on the menu! read more

I came back here with a friend. We ordered the mexican dream crepe, it was filled with lots of corn and other veggies. On the side it came with sour cream and a ceasar salad. The burritoo was really good even though I felt the crepe was a bit too soft. My friend ordered the cheesy fries which she felt the cheese didn't taste so good. Lastly we ordered the white chocolate lava cake. This was the best! It was so delicious the white chocolate lava wasn't running out but it was really spongey and white chocolatey and smelled really good too. Love how the ice cream with the white chocolate curls on the side balanced out the sweetness! I would come back here just for the white chocolate lava cake!! read more

Started off rocky with a large group of 12 but, to my surprise; they really stepped their game up ... a little cheaper than Demetres but more variety. Service was excellent once we finally got a seat, our desserts came out fairy quick. An error with an ice cream flavor was quickly rectified, the kitchen also made a huge chicken nachos by mistake and our table accepted the generous offer. Overall I would definitely recommend here for desserts. We got "something to talk about" ($14.50) on a waffle and it was warm and delish! - Be prepared it's usually very busy - anything with "brownie" as a topping usually comes with 4 small pieces so avoid that... - they are open to customizations - meat is halal :) read more

For folks who like late night desserts, D-Spot is a popular choice in the Scarbrough area. With an exciting menu of desserts and coffee, the place does not disappoint you if you compare it with Demitri's. Even if you aren't in the mood for some sweets, you would be in once you enter the place.?The chocolate fountain is very inviting! Lots of dessert options - they do serve pizzas too. The wait time is definitely less. The staff is very courteous and the service is reasonably fast. There's a Cineplex nearby and I have seen many folks (young and old) who stop by D- Spot for a sweet bite. Parking is plenty and the area is family friendly. The washrooms are clean. Let me go with 5 stars for them. read more

The poutines were pretty cool and tasty. We have the barbecue one and the Chipotle one. The barbecue one was better. I had the Oreo ice cream waffle. I was disappointed by the ice cream because it hardly had any chunks of cookie in it. I felt like I was just eating vanilla ice cream, and it was the ice cream that I was looking forward to the most. Other than that the service was great. No complaints. The place is pretty popular still, we were there on a Thursday night around 9 p.m. and it was very busy . There was even a wait to get a table. read more
Visited this D-Spot location late on Sunday evening. We were starving after an event downtown and were looking for something that was open at 11pm. Despite it being primarily a dessert café, we were pleasantly surprised to see that there were a variety of savoury items on the menu. We ordered 2 pizzas (Hawaiian Heat & You Can't Handle Me Spicy) to share between 4 of us. The pizzas were amazing, very fresh ingredients, lots of flavour and large chunky pieces of chicken - highly recommend! The service was impeccable and the waiters were super friendly. We were touched to have the owner come out to see us and when discovering that we had come from Montreal, he brought us a 'Spicy Tandoori Chicken Poutine' on the house! This too was bursting with flavour - cheesy fries topped with tandoori chicken, drowning in the signature house gravy and sour cream - it was heavenly! The Star of the Show however has to be the enormous 'Hit D Spot' dessert. A massive stack of waffles topped with ice cream, fudge, chocolate sauce, chunky brownie pieces, chocolate pieces, cream and almonds. Our kind waiter Shazane also threw in some cookie dough pieces (as I was unable to make up my mind between desserts) which was lovely. All of us devoured every single mouth-watering bite - it truly was sensational! From the excellent service and warm welcome and hospitality by owner Haroon, to the mouth-watering treats and delights, D-Spot has quickly become our favourite dessert spot in Toronto and we will definitely be returning soon! read more

Been here a couple times and it's not my favourite place. Mediocre desserts and crappy service. Atmosphere is nice, that's about it. Definitely my last time visiting here after our experience with a rude waitress. She had so much attitude answering a simple question we had about a menu item. Never checked in on us, nothing. If I had it in me to give a $0 tip I honestly would have. Won't catch me back here. read more

I came here with friends to catch up and this seemed to be the place to be. All the staff are friendly and very patient as it took us all as a group a bit and a half to come up with what to order. They have an array of crepes and waffles with or without ice cream and a couple of cakes too. I have never tried anything yet from their more savoury side but I think I would when the time comes around. I ordered the matcha latte and the Nutella crepe with strawberries and bananas. I found both a little too sweet - the matcha not being as strong as I anticipated and the Nutella served on the heavier side - yet I enjoyed both. I couldn't finish all of my crepe because of how overpowering the Nutella which was both drizzled on top of the crepe and inside of it with the fresh fruit. All three of us had a hard time finishing our desserts due to how sugary everything was yet we had an enjoyable time with a good playlist in the background and a great atmosphere. I would recommend asking the waitstaff to go lighter on any of the sauces they top on their crepes, waffles, cakes or pancakes but usually their found in a little cup or tin that let you control the intensity of the sweetness. read more
Ordered a red velvet cheesecake and the New York style cheesecake I'll start with the New York style cheesecake. Delicious. With Japanese cheesecake taking the GTA by storm, new York style cheese cakes are becoming a memory of the past. But they shouldn't be. Japanese cheesecakes are inferior. This was a nice dense but soft cheesecake. The strawberries and strawberry sauce and cheesecake had a perfect balance. Nothing overpowering the other, very complimentary. The red velvet cheesecake was very interesting. Normally, the flavours are all blended in together, but this cake had flavours separated. If you just ate the red cake part, it tastes like chocolate cake. But if you combine it with the Center cheesecake cross section, then you get the full red velvet flavour. Very interesting take on red velvet. Servings are pretty big. Location was a bit hard to find though. read more

I've been to this location several times and find it simply OK. I wouldn't recommend the food. The pizza is always burnt for me at the bottom which is a huge disappointment. The cheesy fries are good but for $8+ it's totally not worth it. The desserts are good but if I were comparing to Demetres I'd rather just go there because the pricing at D Spot doesn't seem to be worth what you get. I really like the ice cream at d spot though, tastes very fresh. Tip: Share! We paid $25 for a waffle with icecream that could've totally been shared amongst 2-3 people if you don't have a crazy sweet tooth. read more

This is our family favourite place. Especially on birthday's the best place to visit to surprise a family member love all the cakes. But lava cake is too good read more

This is by far my favourite dessert place in Scarborough. Everything about this place is awesome from the interior to the desserts. I cannot comment on the food as I've only ordered dessert here. Over the years I've tried lots of things on the menu but for my most recent visit we got a chocolate mocha ice cream waffle and the cookie cake (forgot the exact names) but both were awesome. The waffle was warm and fresh out of the waffle maker and the ice cream was blended perfectly with the nuts and chocolate curls. The portions here are extremely generous as there's no way one person can finish everything (or maybe I'm underestimating you guys ?). It was surprising how busy this place was so I guess its really popular. We dropped by on a Friday afternoon. We had the strawberry shortcake which was delicious and the cookielicious (?) They had to substitute a brownie for the cookie as they had run out. It was all good as everything was delicious. I had some warm caffeinated drink that I cant remember the name of. A little pricey but a cute place to visit for when the sugar cravings hit. read more

We came here on a Saturday evening and it wasn't too busy which was great because we were seated as we arrived. It is a cute cafe that has so many options to chose from. We ordered the hidden gem which was absolutely amazing! The inside of the crepe had chocolate fudge cake. There were Oreo cookie bits on the outside with strawberries and bananas and chocolate drizzled all over. It was served with vanilla ice-cream and whip cream. We also ordered a cheese pizza which was great for our 3 year old. Very family friendly and has some good music playing in the background. Will be coming back to try out other menu items! read more
