I was expecting more.... Firstly came here for dinner, Parking in the back which is nice. The inside was super cold, dark, and freezing but it looked cool. Outside was a better temp and ambiance so we elected for that . I was expecting wood fired pizza, but they didn't have it unfortunately :( Not a lot of food options here, more of a casual place for a glass of wine.. so we got wine and charcuterie and left instead of dinner as planned. The cheese board was honestly depressing, with the bread being the best thing on there. I wish there was more cheese .. It was a cute place, but I felt a bit bamboozled . We were sat next to a bush , basically directly next to another couple, which felt like we were in their conversation. My car got trapped in with the parked when we were ready to leave. Tbh, I have not a single negative thing to say. I'm gonna be backwards and start with dessert but that white chocolate earl grey crème brûlée was the most unique and BEST crème brûlée I've ever had. It was absolutely delicious and I had to make a conscious effort not to lick the bowl. Now to the food, we got the frites (10/10) and the 2 item charcuterie board (10/10), both on the happy hour. Super reasonably priced and both amazingggg. We thought about ordering another charcuterie board. We also got a bottle of the pinot Gris (skin contact) and it was delicious. I love a skin contact wine so I'm biased but everyone should try them. We also did glasses of the chenin blanc and the carmenere. The chenin blanc was probably my favorite I've had of the many I've tried and the carmenere was super unique. The service was fantastic (shoutout to Isabella) who was helpful and nice. Also super attentive even when it was busy! The outside patio is super nice looking and vibey. String lights and candles on the tables with a chef grilling right as you walk out of the door. We ordered a sparkling wine that was excellent, and our server was genuinely attentive without hovering. I love the patio at Mirabelle because it's so cozy. The server came in clutch tonight with recommending the winter squash. It was perfectly roasted butternut squash with whipped ricotta. The frites, almonds and olives on the happy hour menu are all amazing. There was a salmon tartare special that packed some heat but hit the spot. Fantastic experience here last night:) we came by randomly on a Saturday late noon for some drinks and snacked and we were NOT disappointed. Very fun and diverse charcuterie board w lots of options. Wasn't a huge fan of the seeds but the Brie was excellent as well as the red wine. Rly cute and aesthetic interior, u wouldn't expect such a beautiful place to be hidden here. Parking is tricky we had to circle the block twice lol The service here was perfect, servers were very accommodating and checked in with us plenty of times throughout our night. I live about 10 minutes away and can't believe I just discovered this spot! Mirabel Wine Bar has such a cool, relaxed vibe -- especially the back area, which is cozy and perfect for conversation. Mirabelle is a true hidden gem in the valley, with a fantastic wine menu and good food. Their outdoor patio is spacious, beautiful, and well-shaded or well-heated depending on the time of year. I tried the salad and thought it was good, but under seasoned. I also tried the pasta dish and thought it was well flavored, but I thought their noodles were shy of actually al-dente. The standout for us were the tostadas, which are only available sometimes, but with the three that they came with for $22, a home run on flavor, portion, and price. Since their entrees fall on the pricier side, we actually prefer to go here during happy hour and enjoy their really (really) good fries, the HH small cheese board, and their olives. This was my second time here, the first being a few years ago, and I'm sad I forgot how incredible this space is. The people working here are so lovely and it doesn't matter if you sit inside or out, it's gorgeous ambiance. I love mirabelle I've been here several times and the food never misses, the specials are always amazing. Service is great they are always so lovely and attentive. Just on food alone it gets 5 stars. Unfortunately last I was there their was a gentleman cleaning the tables and when ever he passed by our table his smell was unbearable, so unbearable I couldn't eat, we didn't even order, after he walked by us several times, I honestly couldn't stand the thought of someone that smells like body odor handing my food to me, it is unhygienic, you're serving the public, not just at home. Huge disappointment. We had a party of 7 on a weekday around 8pm. I called prior asking if I could drop off a cake within a couple of minutes before our reservation (I was surprising my friend for her bday who lives out of state) the person on the phone explained they charge over $30 to do that and if I wanted to pay that fee, I obviously thought that was ridiculous and declined. Bar vs the outside seating. One of our friends ordered food within the bar given they preferred the menu inside vs outside. They forced him to eat his burger in the bar while our seating was outside. So obviously we all got up to join him so he wasn't eating alone. We also preferred the bar food but since we couldn't bring it out we didn't order anything but frites. Definitely missed revenue opportunity. Friends enjoyed their wine. Very limited free parking. Has a bathroom for customers. Service was okay, nothing remarkable. As they were closing around 10 we noticed a lot of noise coming from the trees in the back. Shortly after we saw a bunch of rats chasing each other on the branch. Look I get we are outside and this back seating is technically in a parking lot but jeez clean up the trees if you look they are all disheveled and who knows what's in that pile of debris. Recently went back to Mirabelle for a holiday dinner with my friend. I always forget that even though their menu is limited, they always have something new and delicious to try. I ordered the White Stag Baked Potato (so tasty) and my friend got the Lasagna (it was so good I almost got one to go). I hate to be that guy, and I want to support small businesses, but this place served the worst hamburger of my entire life. It tasted like burnt clams and foot cheese. It was utterly inedible, and unidentifiable as a hamburger. If you closed your eyes, you thought you were gnawing on an old gym sock soaked in motor oil. My girlfriend and I were so astonished we turned on our phone flashlights in the dark restaurant to perform an autopsy on the burger to try to see what was inside the patty. We could not identify many of the ingredients. The "burger" looked like prickly uni and was coated in what looked like cottage cheese. The fries were so salty they tasted like when seawater splashes in through the top of your snorkel. The shiitake mushroom appetizer was also eye-wateringly salty and tasted like spoiled mussels. The pasta dish tasted like pickles and crepe paper. The food was so disgusting it was comical. I paid the $100 and we walked out to go to a different restaurant. We really wanted to like this place because of the ambiance, and we are fairly easy to please, but honestly this was the worst food we've had in years. There is a dearth of quality restaurants in the Valley in general, even more so North of Ventura. Some people will argue that point, but if you're in the know, you know I'm right. Mirabelle has some excellent wines, but, in my opinion, the pours are middling to weak. I ordered a glass of 20 dollar cab (lamplighter which is excellent) the portion, in my opinion, was not even close to 5 ounces. I ordered a second glass. It was brought out in a measuring cup and poured into my existing glass. Strike one. ON the plus, our server was excellent. Strike two, the male host at the door was incredibly uninviting. We got there at 6 pm, had a reservation, and he behaved as if we were walking in to Felix at 7:00 pm on a Friday night with no reservations. He also had his shirt unbuttoned to what seemed his mid belly. Total arrogant, supercilious zero. 3. The 10 dollar frites 100% seem frozen. Man, if you were to make real fresh cut double fried fries, people would flock to your place for real fries and a good glass of wine. (If you pours weren't so weak and over priced) . Another strike, the owner / manger was a huge jerk. The pillow serving as the back of my iron chair fell to the floor at some point in our meal. I was not aware of it. He stopped by our table, picked it up and addressed me as if I had intentionally not wanted the pillow and set it on the floor. Guy was awful. How have I never been here before? I have driven by this wine bar hundreds of times and my fellow yelpers educated me on its existence. Okay, chill Te-see, you can now officially say you have been here and be proud of that fact!!!! My friend treated me to an early birthday dinner on Thursday evening. For food, the birthday girl got the last burger from the "happy hour" menu, my friend ordered the Prime Manhattan Steak, and we shared kennebec frites & the salanova lettuce's & radicchio salad.
