Stumbled upon this Brewery in North Houston on the day they released Juice Drop, a limited edition IPA to benefit Harvey Relief. The special edition IPA was delicious and came with the first pour and pint glass to keep for $10. We left with a 12 pack it was so good. Expensive but a great cause. The Brewery is brand new, clean, and huge with lots of table tops & picnic tables in the cold AC. No trouble finding a place to sit despite the crowd. They had BBQ trucks outside the day we arrived and the food also great. Fun spot but a little hard to find, look behind the green fence or you'll miss it. read more

Really dissatisfied with my visit here. I'm disappointed because I really love u guys beer but where I spend my money is very important . I came here on a Wednesday afternoon for the first time. Was blown away by your outside presentation but very disappointed with the manager. I told him this was my first time here and let him know I would like ipa flight. After getting it, I gave him my card but it was chip. He told me he couldn't use my chip. Totally understood I was trying to have a conversation with him about what happen to my card( and why my info was not on my card) he just gave me this negative energy and was not trying to hear me or try to help find a solution. I went online to see if I could order the beer online, and found a solution. After talk to another employee who was very nice and listen to me ( Adam Thompson), manger came over again. I ask him why he had this energy and he said he trying to help others. As a manger your job is to multitask, and create a safe positive energy for the business and that not what I got. The spacious and modern tasting room offers plenty of seating. This brewery wins the award for best (cleanest) bathrooms! It also offers easily accessible ample parking. For a newer brewery they offer a surprisingly diverse selection of beers, surely something to please every palate. Our visit to the Houston area was a whirlwind brewery tour so I'm just listing my favorites - hands down my favorite here is the Pecao! The unique and delicious Pecao! is described as a "brown IPA"; along with hops you get hints of cacao and a sweetness from the pecans. read more

Now that Houston has breweries abound, I get to be picky. Spindletap has a few things I love in a brewery. The first was ample seating. I like that I didn't need to be in line 2 hours before it opened to find a spot. Second is food options. The brewery was selling food and there was a food truck. Third, beer flights. I don't know why so many breweries around here are anti flights, but it's my preferred way to taste beer. I also appreciate the customizable nature of the flight. I liked almost everything I tasted, which is pretty rare for me. Though another in my group wasn't super crazy about any of the beers. Either way, I definitely think it's worth a shot if you haven't been. read more

This brewery is really nice, we had a company meeting here one day. Prior to the meeting we had not really heard of the brewer, but I'm glad we had it there. They have a bar area where you can try different varieties of their craft beers. My favorite probably had to be their blonde ale. I will probably e back soon read more

I have been going to Spindletap since the first day it opened. I love how close to home it is! Everything is new and clean and the environment is great. My first time there the owner approached me and made sure that the UH game was playing on one of the screens after he saw my shirt. Luckily, the staff was on top of it and the game was on multiple screens. Since the brewery is still new, the crowd is not overwhelming, which is my favorite part. You're welcome to bring in outside food, but they do have a food truck outside. All of the beers are very smooth and easy to drink. They have a great taste. If you don't know what to drink, I suggest you start with the Honey Hole and go from there. read more

We went here on a Friday night with a Groupon my husband had purchased and had a great time! They actually have a HH on Friday anyway so the pricing is great either way. Everyone was very friendly in helping us pick out a beer, even giving us small samples so we could see if we liked it before getting a large glass. Our favorites were probably one of the IPAs (it's called diamond something), and the whiskey stout! Have fun! read more

Overall we liked a couple of their beers, their Hop Option Mosaic was the best we tried by far. It's a spacious place with many high and low tops along with a sit up bar. You can see the kettles behind the bar and they have many beer options. Will be back to try more. read more

I was a little disappointed by the brewery tour, it was said to be great and very informative and hands on... Stopped here on a brewery tour with my company and really enjoyed the hospitality! This is one of the more swanky breweries I've visited. It's new. It's clean. And it's got great prices! Although the beer selection isn't huge, there's something for everyone: from light to dark, hoppy to mild. I tend to prefer beers with higher ABVs (judge me not), so I tried the Derrickman (their strongest at 8%). It was a delicious compliment to the BBQ catered for our visit! (This is a great place for corporate events, BTW!) It's a bit further out than I'd usually travel for a drink, but I can definitely see myself returning to try out the 5-beer flight for only $8! read more

I wanted to try a new brewery with my boyfriend. We really enjoyed the space, we were able to sample beers before buying, has several tvs (at least 7), & we were lucky: a bus tour came for a party, they left after an hour & gave us their tokens! Cant waste beer right?! Boomtown & Honeyhole are our favs. The staff is nice, a girl said "let me get your order before the tour starts" which i appreciated because about 40 ppl came in & i would've had to wait at least 30 min. No Frills brewery with great beer and relaxed environment. They have a few TV's going and some couches in the corner. You can buy six packs to go. They Texzas pizza food that serves excellent pizza and was also serving gumbo when I went in at the end of February. read more

First, don't judge this brewery by the neighborhood surrounding it. When we were driving in we saw a man advertising for Swamp Rabbits. The venue is super great. The place is clean and they have several picnic tables outside along with some games. We loved the tasting room, it was the beer we were dissapointed in. We got the sampler and tried all of their beers on tap. The blonde was meh, the pale ale was very hoppy and tasted like a watered down IPA. The IPA was pretty good, but my favorite was the Honey Hole. I would be back here for the venue, but not the beer. The people are friendly, but the rest is average. read more

Came here on a Saturday afternoon. Their parking lot was completely filled and I had to park in an unmarked gravel area on the side. Glad to say my car did not get towed. My friend said that there had been a parking attendant, but they weren't around when I got there. Their beer selection is pretty well dominated by hoppy beers, but they had TWO stouts on tap when we came. The Aceite Crudo was perfection. Their taproom is spacious and has great big windows to see into the brewing facility. They had tables set up in the brewery with music playing. Would be fun for a group event. Their venue is very nice and I hope to make it back for a tour. It isn't in the best of locations for a weekday, but just fine for weekend get togethers. I love the ties to Spindletop and the oilfield.. Might be a new coworker get together spot. read more

Extremely impressed with my visit to Spindletap. The brewpub was very clean, well lit, had many TV's with the games on, and had some memorabilia on the walls as well, oh and a few arcade games. They also had a food truck outside and allow people to bring in their own food. The bartender was knowledgeable (provided description of beers and hops used). The beers that I had were outstanding. They had 10 on tap (3-4 of their main beers, 2 of their soon to be regular beers, 2 special selections, and a couple other rotating selections). Fun! Jenga + cornhole + beer = tremendous time. The girls/dude behind the bar were super personable and made us feel comfortable. We're brewery hoppers and some places we've visited were snobfests.. We visited Spindletap for the first time this Saturday with a group. The beer was good, small selection compared to other Houston breweries. The tasting room and restaurant had plenty of room as well! Lots of parking too. The location is a little odd but when you hear their story, it makes more sense and makes it a little more interesting. read more

This is a beautiful, new, clean facility with plenty of parking. It's a bit confusing as you walk in. Do you stand in line? Order at the bar? Will a waitress take your order at a table? Some signage would be helpful. It takes a while to figure it out but unfortunately, standing in line for 10-20 minutes is the only way to get anything ordered. read more

Beer is great, but the service is lacking. Employees are drinking behind the bar. It's the small stuff that makes a difference.
