Lazy Dough is this interesting café located on fourth Street in the LBC. The design of this establishment is very nice. They have very nice interior seating, as well as a very nice outdoor patio space. The way this place works is that you go inside and order what you want. You can do this is one of two ways. They have a digital ordering station, if that's your preference. Or, you can place your order with the staff member at the front counter. Your choice. In terms of the food, it's all very interesting. They have some pretty nice choices. What they offer is kind of unique takes on a traditional Americana and beyond. The main thing about this restaurant to keep in mind is that they have a very extensive drink list. Whether you want lattes, cappuccinos, chais they have a lot of choices. I mean, really a lot of choices! The only downside to this café, if you want to call it that, is that this is a population location. From this, if there are a lot of people in front of you, having put in their order, you may have to wait awhile to get your meal. Overall, this a nice café that offers some good food and a lot drinks.
We found this spot on instagram and had to try out yet another great restaraunt on fourth street. What got me was the breakfast burritos that they served, and thats what i maintained my focus on for the morning. Its a very nicely decorated place and there is a lot of seating inside and some out on the patio. They had a lot of pastry made and their coffee options were wide. Since i was getting the burrito, my wife tried out the steak and eggs because the eggs were prepared sunny side up. Her skillet had mushrooms and onions which flavored the meat even more. Her potatoes were all right. The ones in my chorizo breakfast burrito were better as hash browns, and the Chimichurri sauce went well with every bite i took. We decided to try out the strawberry croissant that had custard and slices of the fruit inside. Every bite was fantastic in that pastry and i cant wait to have it again at my next visit. They definitely get busy on a weekend so come early and enjoy whatever calls to your hearts and minds.
Came here for a birthday brunch before a couple activities in Long Beach and this spot didn't disappoint! I absolutely loved the vibe of the place. You order at the front and you take your table stand with the number and they bring your order out to you. They have plenty of seating indoor and outdoor but the parking situation is limited but there's street parking all around. They make all of their pastries in house daily and i definitely recommend trying something that's made in-house I ordered the Beef Bulgogi Burrito and a Banana Matcha. My date ordered the Eggs Benedict Croissant Sandwich and a Strawberry Matcha. Eggs Benedict Croissant sandwich 5/5: The croissant was very flaky and light, you can tell it's made in-house with how it wasn't tough like some croissants out there. Swapped the Canadian bacon with regular bacon and it was fire. The eggs Benedict idea inside of a sandwich was new to me and I'd definitely order it again. Just be careful with the yolk, it might just explode on you lol Bulgogi Burrito 4.5/5 The only thing I'd change about it is the way they roll it, it affected the ratio of egg to tater tots and meat per bite. Other than that, the actual ratio of ingredients was great, the mango salsa they give on the side is fire, and the Aji sauce (tastes like the Peruvian green sauce) was ABSOLUTELY FIRE I had to get extra sauce because I used it on literally every bite. Strawberry matcha 5/5 This was my pick, the balance of matcha to strawberry was great, definitely would recommend this Banana Matcha 4/5 This was a great pick as well but I feel that the banana overpowered the matcha
I have visited this place several times, and it is always a great experience. The staff works incredibly hard and the person I assume is the owner is there alongside his staff. They offer both a traditional register and a self-service kiosk, which is convenient if you prefer placing your order on your own. There is plenty of seating available, both indoors and outdoors, making it a comfortable place to dine regardless of how busy it gets. The food has been consistently tasty every time I have visited. I would especially recommend trying the strawberry matcha and the egg skillet. Both are solid choices and worth ordering.
Came to this charming cafe restaurant yesterday. I was greeted by a very cheerful young lady at the counter. The entire place is very bright had very cutesy vibes based on the decor. The pastries on the glass shelf were getting sold fast, each one looked really fresh especially the fruit topped ones, so it was just right to start with pastries before lunch. The mango danish was delicious!!!!!!! Anyways we tried hot and cold drinks. The coffee was so good, they have their own sweetener choices, the cold drink Jasmine with fruit was also very refreshing. Our brunch was also amazing. Food is straight forward fresh, well seasoned, thoughtfully put together. Portions were a little small-ish for the price. This place is worth a try. I will definitely come back.

The avocado toast was so delicious, and the hot honey pepperoni pizza was good as well. Hopefully I find myself in the area again and I can try something new. Service wise i think it was good, you can order on your own at the front and the drinks come out pretty quick. Food did take a bit longer but it was very busy.
Back at Lazy Dough. Today was extra busy. So, i had To circle around the block a couple of times before finding street parking. I ordered my favorite dish on the menu. The steak and egg skillet. The steak is always tender, the egg is cooked to perfection, the garlic herb potatoes were crispy and delicious and the miso mushroom sauce tied everything together really well. I also tried the popcorn chicken curry and the bbq wings. The beverages were refreshing. I got to chat with the owner. She is super sweet. Another fun brunch at Lazy Dough. The space is cozy, the atmosphere is electric. Excellent food, excellent company, excellent service. I highly recommend.

The hubby and I'd been wanting to check this place out for months after hearing all the good things about it, and we finally got our chance for brunch on a Wednesday. You order at the counter and they bring the food out to you. We ordered: - Ube Coconut cloud drink (a clear, slightly sweet coconut-y drink with that distinctive purple ube cream on top--SO refreshing and delicious!) - Ube latte (a delicious cafe latte with Ube cream on top) - avocado toast for me (it's one of those avocado toasts that's a little extra, with micro greens, tomatoes, eggs, and great seasoning) - hubby got the croissant Benedict (croissant came out a bit well done, but was delicious. The side salad was welcome for cutting some of that richness) The service was friendly and prices reasonable for the high quality. We had a very pleasant visit and are now fans. I came back a few weeks later for that Ube coconut cloud, it was so good! Also got some of their decadent garlic cheese breads to go. Can't wait for the next time!
The kindest and most hardworking staff! Everything is made in house so the quality of their food and drinks is absolutely amazing! I love the variety of coffee and matcha drinks- the Pina colada matcha is a must try! And their burnt ube cheesecake was to die for! I love the fun, colorful and inviting decor, and there's a good amount of indoor and outdoor seating! Definitely check this spot out next time you're in Long Beach
my coworker and i wanted a sweet treat for lunch and decided to stop by lazy dough after searching for different bakeries, and we both really enjoyed the pastries here! i got the dubai croissant, and i felt like this was perfectly sweet and had a good amount of filling on top and inside the crispy croissant. grateful they don't skimp on the pistachio cream and kataifi! i was too full to try the other pastries, but they all looked pretty good too. parking is pretty hard to find here since there's no dedicated parking lot, so just beware that you may have to find street parking or park in the one spot that they have available!
The food is good. Is it "oh my god I've never had anything like this before" good? Not necessarily I think its expensive for the portions/quality that they provide. The pastry descriptions sounded good, but they are pretty small so I didn't get any. The market kale salad comes with ciabatta bread which is something I haven't seen before of other restaurants. The toppings are creative, but easy to replicate. I also ordered a black coffee, which didn't come completely full, and there were no refills lol. Coffee was ok, not the best quality. My party also ordered a dubai latte and mocha for drinks, the dubai latte was creative. Popcorn chicken, patty melt & breakfast burrito were good but nothing impressive. The service was slow, but I respect how they got their kids working and serving plates lol, teach em young! I do like the atmosphere though! It's a place where you pay first & then go sit down. So definitely a more relaxed feel in that regard. Overall I think its worth a shot, but personally not my first choice.
JAM PACKED DRINKS AND GOOD FOOD We were looking for something with really good matcha, lattes and a breakfast burrito. A one stop shop. We went to our usual spot but it recently went viral so the line was down the street. This place was closest. Lazy dough ended up being just as good, if not better. The piña colada matcha was a sweet treat with tons of puree and foam while still being true to matcha flavor. The Dubai espresso latte was loaded with toppings, pastes and foam. Definitely on the sweet side, almost like ice cream with the salted foam, but I'm here for a good time not a long time. I was afraid I wasn't going to like the burrito since the default protein is chorizo. But that was also really good for $14 dollars. It wasn't spicy and the chewy texture of the tortilla, egg and cheese against the bits of chorizo can't get any better. Everyone was nice and greeted us despite arriving 40 minutes before close. The only issue one may have is finding parking in Long Beach, but that's a Long Beach problem.

THIS PLACE RIGHT HERE!!! All surrounding brunch spots... meet your match. This family-owned gem is about to take over the downtown brunch scene. My family and I stopped in on a Saturday around 10 a.m. The place was already packed with a line out the door, but don't let that scare you. The wait moved fast, and the staff ran that dining room like a well-oiled machine while somehow making you feel like you were a guest in their home. You order at the front, grab your number, then impatiently wait for greatness. Right away, the baristas were brewing, shaking, and stirring up some of the best drinks I've had in a long time. Matcha, mochas... Starbucks could NEVER. I ordered the banana strawberry matcha and an iced mocha. While I was at the counter, I obviously had to grab pastries because... self-control wasn't invited. The display alone had me ready to order 14 of 'em. I went with the tiramisu cookie, guava croissant, and strawberry cream croissant. Now for the main event. There were four of us, so naturally we ordered enough food for a small village. Savory pancakes, a bulgogi breakfast burrito with fries, steak and eggs, another breakfast burrito, and the Thai pizza. Yep. We came to eat. While we waited, I took in the atmosphere. The entire place felt warm and inviting. Sunlight poured through the windows, giving it the feeling of eating breakfast on your family's back patio. Just laughter, clinking forks, happy conversations, and those little "mmm" moments happening at every table. That's always a good sign. The Thai pizza hit the table first. Fresh out of the oven and straight to Flavor Town. The crust had to be handmade because there was no way something that good came from a freezer. The basil, sausage, and everything working together made this anything but your average pizza. It was different--in the best way possible. Five minutes later... Gone. Next up were the savory pancakes. At first glance, they looked simple. Then I took a bite. That little stack of fluffy pancakes topped with berry butter didn't even need syrup. THANK YOU for understanding that pancakes don't need to cover an entire plate to be memorable. These were soft, flavorful, perfectly sweet, and somehow disappeared before I could fully appreciate everything else on the plate. Speaking of everything else... The steamed eggs were light and fluffy. The hash browns? Listen... Whatever they're doing to those potatoes back there needs to be studied. They had the perfect golden crunch with this buttery goodness that made me question every hash brown I've ever eaten. Fried in beef tallow? Magic? I don't know. I just know I wanted another order immediately. The bacon deserved its own shoutout too. Fresh, crispy, and full of flavor--not bacon that was cooked at 5 a.m. and has been sitting around waiting for someone's Grand Slam order. This bacon had integrity. Then came the steak and eggs. The steak was tender, juicy, and seasoned perfectly. I had absolutely no interest in sharing. But somehow the potatoes still managed to steal part of the spotlight. Again... Those potatoes. Give me 14 of those babies to go. The breakfast burritos were packed with flavor, but those crispy potatoes inside gave them the texture that took them from good to unforgettable. And that green aioli? Bottle that stuff up. Immediately. This place just gets it. They understand that quality matters. Every ingredient tasted intentional, every dish felt like someone actually cared before it hit the table. Too many restaurants are cutting corners these days, and I will happily support businesses that refuse to compromise. Worth every penny. This is hands down one of the best brunch spots I've been to in a long time, and I already can't wait to come back. Do yourself a favor and go. Just don't blame me when there's a line. read more

Lazy Dough is a gem. Food quality & taste: 5 stars Value: 5 stars Service & ambiance: 5 stars We tried the sweet pancakes, eggs benedict croissant, and the steak scramble. Each was perfect. The sliced/cubed steak had a hint of sweetness and was tender. If you're picky about eggs benedict, you'll appreciate this place. The coconut cream that accompanied the pancakes is addictive. The service was great. Looking forward to returning to try different things on the menu. I bookmarked Lazy Dough as a place to bring friends and family. read more

We recently visited this spot in Long Beach and had a great experience. The line was short, the service was friendly and efficient, and everything felt smooth from start to finish. We especially loved the matcha--the mix of matcha with orange juice was unique and absolutely outstanding. Definitely a refreshing and memorable drink! read more
Loving the updated menu! From my first visit opening week to recently, we saw some seasonal options that obviously were very popular, join the regular menu. Talk about variety...this spot has it! I have tried close to 10 dishes, and have been wonderful. Each with solid flavor, filling (even if portion appeared on the smaller side), beautifully presented, decent prices, and food always comes out quick. Nothing beats all the above + friendly staff + nicely decorated interior + both indoor and outdoor seating + the list goes on... Kinda dig the location too, even though parking can be tough. read more
We walked into Lazy Dough and after a short wait in line, we noticed a larger line forming behind us. We arrived shortly after 10, and we beat the crowd. The line moved fast, and within less than seven minutes we were ordering. The cashier was nice and friendly. The dining area was packed but one of the workers noticed we were looking for a table and he offered to hold a table for us if we waited outside. We made our way outdoors and soon the line was way longer than earlier. Whew! Within five minutes, the worker came out to get us just as he promised he would. There was understandable a wait in getting our food since they were swamped. The ambiance of the dining room is busy, but not overwhelming loud. It was still relaxing. Our table order the croissant French toast, pepperoni pizza, bulgogi burrito, prosciutto sandwich, lazy fries, and NEM tortilla wrap. All of our food was tasty! Everyone enjoyed their food. The loaded fries were probably the least enjoyed but they weren't bad. I will definitely return. read more
The food is amazing. I got a guava & cheese danish and it was delicious, but small, which was good since I wasn't very hungry at the time. I also got a matcha strawberry latte, which is sweeter rather than bitter. I personally prefer my matcha less sweet and a bit more bitter. The service is nice--everyone is friendly and helpful, and they bring plates to your table. They also do takeout, which I love for when I just want to grab coffee to go. The ambiance is cute. You can sit inside or outside, and there are so many Labubus, which is adorable. read more

Haven't been back here in awhile. They upgraded interior and it looks spacious bad more tables. Still simply but cute, great lively vibe going. Staff are wonderful, attentive and friendly with smile on their face. The foods are excellent just yummy. Got some desserts to go and it is also delicious. Parking can be tricky since most are street parking therefore you have to invest abit of time into it. read more

Food: 5/5 Croissant sandwich with prosciutto was so good. Not overly salty just a nice blend of savory meats, egg, bread and sauces. The bulgogi sandwich was really good, the egg is always a nice touch. The side salad, a bit mild flavored and very fresh. The Croissant french toast was insanely good. Coconut cream, fresh fruit, crispy toast... a must prefer for sure! Service: 4/5 Order first, seat after. Interesting way but we got to our seats very quick. The staff is so nice, looks to be a family environment and great work to them. Everyone is so inviting and extremely quick. Ambiance: 5/5 Loving the vibe. The Labubu are in town and they are everywhere. I found it classy and the the Lunar new year theme was perfect. Overall a must try and looking to come back in the near future!!! read more

We got the classic cheese bread and the house drink. Both extremely sweet. Food always fresh and rich. Service is great but they are very busy so still be prepared to wait, even for to go. I came in on a Sunday morning around 10 am and it wasn't that packed, but it started getting packed once we placed our order. You order your food and then you find a place to sit and they bring the food out to you. Staff were friendly and the place is really nice. There's indoor and a small outdoor patio for seats. I got the strawberry croissant, breakfast burrito, and a iced Dubai chocolate latte. Everything was delicious. I would come here again. read more

Came on grand prix weekend and they were handling orders so well! They offer a variety of drinks, pastries, and traditional brunch items like breakfast burritos, pancakes, sandwiches, salads, and my favorite, avocado toast. Indoor and outdoor seating is an option. You order at the counter and take a number to your table or wait for your order to be called if placed to go. Seating area was clean and there's a lot of windows to allow for natural light. Music was playing but not too loudly so it was such a great spot to catch up while eating some solid food. Avocado toast was delicious! Soft and savory, I personally added bacon pieces on top and it was amazing. Their matcha latte was equally as good but sweet for sure. Breakfast burrito was also yummy. read more

This place was very cute the moment we walked in. The ordering process was simple since you order at the register, and there was plenty of seating available both indoors and outdoors. One of my favorite things was the drink selection. There were so many unique options that I had a hard time deciding, and there are definitely several I'd like to come back and try. I ordered the Steak & Egg Skillet, an unsweetened Iced Hojicha Latte, and the Dubai Croissant. Everything came out fast. The Steak & Egg Skillet was flavorful, and the steak itself was cooked well and tasted great. My only critique would be that I wish the potatoes had been a bit crispier and had a stronger garlic herb flavor, but they were still enjoyable. The Iced Hojicha Latte was great. The one item I would personally skip next time is the Dubai Croissant. I wish the croissant had been warmed up or filled throughout, as most of the flavor and toppings were on top rather than into the pastry itself. Service was good, and parking was street parking nearby. Overall, I'd recommend stopping by, and I'm excited to try more of the menu if I'm in the area again. read more
Wow. I just finished dining at Lazy Dough in LB, and I couldn't wait to write this review. This is now my favorite new brunch location in Long Beach! This family restaurant opened about 8 months ago, and everything is made in-house, including their jams and bread. They said they had over 100 dishes available during soft opening, and based on what their customers and communities ordered the most and gave feedback on, they narrowed down their menu that you see today. The restaurant isn't telling people what they should eat, but they're cooking what the people want! It doesn't mean that the menu will stay static forever; we were told that their bakery items change often, but when something is popular, like garlic bread and dubai chocolate croissant, they'll keep it in in regular rotation. I look forward to visiting Lazy Dough throughout various seasons to see what new items they'll have ready for the community! Immediately walking in, I was impressed by their clean, open concept dining area with lively decoration. They have plenty of seats inside, and about 5 tables in the outside patio. Self-serve water station with to-go containers and cups (both hot and cold), were a nice touch. The level of service also impressed me; not only were the staff kind and friendly, but they take meticulous detail to customers' dining experience. For example, I saw that one patron wanted to sit by the window, which was pretty clean enough, and the manager immediately had the window be wiped down so that this patron can have a better experience. We ordered the steak and egg skillet, breakfast burrito, americano coffee, matcha latte with almond milk, and fruit tart to dine-in. We also got a guava danish to-go because we couldn't decide on one dessert :) * Steak and egg skillet: I ordered the meat medium-rare, and it came out as promised. The Vietnamese inspired mushroom sauce was delicious and took the steak to another whole level. The potatoes were CRISP and the garlic flavor was on point. The sunny-side egg, toasted bread, and roasted tomato were great, but the star of the dish were the juicy steak and crispy potatoes. I would be getting this again for sure. * Breakfast burrito: My husband devoured his burrito as soon as it came out. I managed to get a bite, and wow, it was packed with all the ingredients and had a burst of flavor. It came with a side of green salsa that really complimented the dish. He said he would get this burrito again as well! * Americano coffee and Matcha Latte were both strong, no notes. * Fruit Tart: Instead of your typical tart, it's a more dense bread that keeps the custard and fruit together. The custard is not too sweet, but just sweet enough (your biggest Asian compliment to dessert). Overall, this restaurant takes serious investment to the community's wants and needs, produces creative and delicious food in-house, and works hard to provide top-notch service. I will definitely be coming back very very soon! read more
Traditional, no-frill breakfast done well. Nothing fancy, except for superb service, fresh ingredients, and pancakes that are fluffy and buttery. You'll have to fight for street parking in this neighborhood, but that shouldn't be news to any local. read more
Saw that one of my favorite vegan restaurants had closed and now become lazy dough so I decided to go and try the place out. You order up at the counter and then sit and wait for your food. My friend and I both ordered a pizza and I also ordered a Matcha. Hands-down one of the best matchas I have ever tasted. I had to stop myself from slurping it down in one sip. Our pizzas came and they were amazing. My friend is a very picky eater and she loved everything. I am not so picky but still this pizza was phenomenal. The crust was perfect, the prosciuto was delish...this whole pizza melted in my mouth. The service was also exceptional. The waiter was an older gentleman who told us he was helping out because their chef had passed away in a bike accident so everyone was helping out. That really touched my heart that the family was all coming together to help out the owner. I will definitely be back for their wonderful food and I hope everyone goes to support this wonderful place. read more
Discovered Lazy Dough on Instagram and dragged the hubby to check it out. Parking can be a challenge but that's LB for ya. The restaurant's interior is cute with all the Labubu's displayed by the register and coffee bar. The paintings on the wall below the ceiling had a cute Long Beach theme. The restaurant was open and airy with indoor and outdoor seating. First, you order at the counter and they give you a number and you can pick a table to sit. On our first visit, I ordered their iced banana latte and my husband wanted to try the iced piña colada matcha. You can choose your dairy and adjust the sweetness levels which was nice. For food, I ordered their bulgogi ciabatta sandwich and hubby wanted to try their bulgogi burrito. Bulgogi ciabatta- Overall, I liked the sandwich. The bulgogi, arugula, cheese and egg melded well with a sauce that wasn't spicy but had a little heat. The hubs really liked his bulgogi burrito. We have eaten breakfast here a couple more times since our first visit and ordered their French toast and their steak and egg skillet. The French toast had a delicious sweet cream and topped with fresh berries. If you're craving something sweet, I'd recommend this. If you're craving something savory, I'd recommend their steak and egg skillet. Their potatoes are crispy and their house made miso mushroom sauce is just yum! Restaurant is very clean and the service is warm and friendly. We will be back. read more
I came here with a few of my friends and we got a couple items on their menu. I can't speak on what my friends got cuz I didn't taste them but presentation alone looked great. I got their Avocado toast and honestly, it wasn't the best. Portion-wise, it was pretty big from how it's usually served I suppose but the taste was just bland for me and hard to chew from stale bread. Only reason I gave a 5 star is because I think I might've just picked the wrong item off their brunch. Our appetizer: the Lazy Loaded Fries (sunny egg) tasted amazing and would definitely get again. I got their Strawberry Matcha Latte and that was also pretty spot on. The service here was dope; they were very easygoing and gave us a welcoming vibe. I would definitely come back again. P.S. they also have all the rare or cool looking labubu's if you're into that hahaha, their setup was pretty cool. read more
New restaurant that just opened about three months ago. When I walked in, I was a bit confused because this place was previously a vegan restaurant! (new name, and menu) Presentation: Simple clean. Not too much fluff, but enough to to look tasty. Food: Beef Bulgogi Burrito $14.00 3.5 stars Ordered this seasonal burrito in lieu of the regular chorizo burrito. The Bulgogi was interesting tasting. The soy sauce or marinade was just a bit off. Not too much to dissuade you from eating, but enough where it has a very overwhelming and distinct taste in the burrito. I wish it was more complimentary. And because it's Bulgogi, it made the burrito, a little wetter (leaky) than I would have liked. It came with a side of avocado sauce and diced tomatoes and onions. I wish the diced tomatoes onions (pico), we're actually inside a burrito. But that's me being picky. FYI - They currently do not allow menu substitutions, so what you see is exactly what you'll get. Drink: Chai with Oatmilk (iced) $5.50 5 stars This was fantastic! Absolutely no complaints with the drink, except for the fact that I wish I had more. Service was prompt and pleasant. Just had to share this, Lazy Dough Cafe is seriously a hidden gem! From the moment you walk in, the staff makes you feel right at home. Ryan is especially awesome he takes the time to chat with every customer, which really adds a personal touch you don't find everywhere. The ambiance is another highlight it's an open-concept space with an open kitchen, so you can actually watch them make the pizza fresh to order. It really adds to the experience and shows how much care goes into everything they serve. On our last visit, he even gave us samples of their new cheese corn cookies (which are a MUST try, by the way). Everything here is made in-house, from their fresh bread to their pastries, and you can absolutely taste the difference. The pizza dough is light and airy, and we tried the egg benny loaded fries so good. And the pancakes were the perfect sweet ending to an already amazing meal. Definitely come early because this place fills up fast, but it's 100% worth it! read more
