I had some time to kill while waiting for a train so I figured it was a good chance to try something new. Looking at nearby spots I saw Spiro's and it sounded perfect. It's a small, no frills kind of place, which is just fine. I get the neighborhood secret vibe here, everyone who came in before or after me knew the workers personally. The friendliness is a big plus. I had the 7 inch original poor boy. Overall a really tasty sandwich! Classic deli style meats and veggies. The bread could have been a bit softer which is my only complaint. It wasn't too tough but it did take some effort to get a good bite. I'm around this area often so ill be back for sure. The Bomber is their specialty apparently, I'll have to try that next time.

I can't believe I ate the entire thing. I ordered the Philly cheesesteak combo expecting thin sliced steak that would come from a box. The man behind the counter (Rudy) just kept saying, yeah, no problem to my choices of cheeses. This is definitely where the locals go. This place had a steady stream of customers ordering everything from Gyros to Po'boys. Everyone who entered knew the man behind the counter and he greeted all of them by name. The ambiance is very deli. No special anything really. The place just says order your stuff and we will feed you. The food though... I truly am pleased I made this stop. The Philly cheesesteak had actual chunks of steak. The provolone cheese and the added cheese sauce made this closer to a true Philly than I have been since being in Philly. This thing was a monster sandwich and when i first looked at it i thought that i may need a football team to polish this off. The fries were fresh cut and salted properly right out of the oil. I will return.

Bomber and gyro Bomber is the bomb!!!!!

The food and service were phenomenal. First time there and I will be back! Got the bomber and the gyro. Liked the bomber more but gyro was great as well. Fries were awesome and homemade not from a package. Amount of meat in each sandwich was great too. It was packed full of meat and flavor! Owner made us feel welcome and gave us a small sample which was a nice surprise. What a in Glenview :)

This is what I will call a hidden gem in Glenview. I have lived not too far from Spiro's for over 10 years now and have always wanted to stop by. The first time I picked up from here, I ordered GYROS SANDWICH and a ROAST BEEF SANDWICH. My kids ate them in the car while we were on a road trip. Once they opened the sandwiches, the smell of the gyro meat and roast beef were drool worthy. Not only did they smelled good, they tasted even better too! There were so much meat in both sandwiches. The next time I stopped by, I got a Gyro sandwich (again) and a PHILLY CHEESESTEAK sandwich for my son. They were amazing. (Of course I get to have a taste of everything I get for them ;). The sandwiches were made to order. Both times I've gone, I probably waited about 10 minutes for two sandwiches. Everyone was friendly, accommodating, and very efficient. They had a few tables inside, everything was clean, and they also had a few tented tables outside. I will go back for sure. 100%.

Ordered the gyro plate. Horrible. The gyro meat was dry and overcooked. Tiny pieces. Don't waste your money.

One thing is for sure: a return visit is in the cards within a couple weeks. As soon as the soda…read moremachine (for the water cups!) is installed, and the Hot Chicken Shawarma Wrap makes a comeback. In the meantime, I ordered a Hot Chick (medium heat), with a side of fries, some extra pickles, and the garlic sauce to make my Slavic heart happy. The food came out fresh from the bubbling oil, it could be handled without burns, but clearly spent no time under a lamp. Both the chicken and the fries were fried to a delectable crunch. No twice-fried-as-an-excuse here, genuinely well done. My only note is that it feels as though the fries and chicken *may* have spent an extra 15 seconds in the fryer. While the innards were tender, it felt as though a tinge of moisture was sacrificed without need. The fries were seasoned perfectly, and other than the usual delight of dipping them into everything on the plate, they were perfect as they were. Fantastic amount too, not the starch overload of Five Guys, but not a skimpy serving either. The chicken sandwich was the real star. The medium contained some proper spice without having smoke come out the ears. It was well sauced, and had a great hit of acid from the pickles. Out of left field came the slaw: I was not expecting to like this to the point of almost leaving it out. However, it was fresh, felt homemade, and wasn't a mayonnaise bomb. Would order the again without complaints or reservations. I also had a chance to try their house-made lemonade. I appreciate that they use zero-calorie sweetener to cut down on sugars. However, it came out too sweet for my liking. It would be helpful to have options of level and type of sweet. Final notes: The server behind the counter was very welcoming and friendly, and the food came out in a reasonable time frame considering how fresh everything was. Final verdict: A case where I say it's a good thing Nash Bros is a little bit of a hike, otherwise I might visit too much for my health. Barring some minor notes, everything was scrumptious, and I'd happily order it all again (and likely will!)

I checked out this restaurant for the first time recently as we were in the area and wanted to grab…read moredinner. So we decided to give Nash Bros a try. We got here about 30 minutes before closing time. The restaurant was somewhat busy w/ dine-in and carry-out orders. I ordered their original Nashville Hot fried chicken sandwich made Xtra Hot based on their heat level offerings (which was the highest heat level) and my wife ordered their Honey Butter fried chicken sandwich with mild heat level. I also got their House Fries that were seasoned crinkle cut fries. We asked for cups of water but were told that they were out of cups, so either buy water or can of pop. They did not have fountain drinks. The food came out shortly. My etra hot sandwich tray was tagged as 'Hot' w/ three symbols. I asked them if that meant the sandwich was just 'Hot' and not 'Xtra Hot' and I was told that if I ordered extra hot then it meant it was extra hot. My sandwich was really delicious. The flavor was good and the texture was nice. The Xtra Hot flavor was not overwhelming but also it did not seem like the extra hot they said I should be mindful of because it was going to be very spicy. My sandwich was decently crunchy and the pickles and coleslaw had a tad bit of sweetness that went well with the heat of the fried chicken. The Brioche bun was well toasted. The fried chicken patty was decent in size. The Honey Butter fried chicken was a major letdown. It's a sandwich in Brioche bun w/ fried chicken and only spicy honey butter (no pickles or slaw). The bun and the fried chicken were drenched in melted butter but there was no taste of sweet heat or just sweet honey. The fried chicken patty didn't have any flavor either. We mentioned it to the staff members and they apologized for the way it turned out for us. The crinkle cut fries were okay. They were soft and unevenly seasoned. The seasoning was decent in taste. Overall, we had a decent experience. The service was okay. My original Nashville hot chicken was delicious but the Honey Butter chicken sandwich was anything but delicious. The restaurant aesthetics were decent. They have a live band performance area. It's a nice, friendly restaurant with a decent menu variety. We weren't wowed by the food but I would say that the original Nashville Hot fried chicken sandwich was worth trying.

This is a very busy location at weekday lunch time anyway and their parking lot was filled.   As soon as we ordered for pick up at the drive thru (you can optionally pick up inside at their counter or do a curbside pick up as well), you get a code and report the code at the drive thru and your order is displayed on their video screen for confirmation.  It's all quite quick and handy.  One of the reasons for their quickness is that most of the mainstream items are already made, packaged, and ready to go.  My Big Mac wasn't fresh off the grill but it was good enough and the speediness was appreciated on this particular visit.  One of the kiddos ordered a Happy Meal cheeseburger with no ketchup and sure enough she screamed out loud when she saw the ketchup, but the situation was easily rectified with a napkin lol.  I was disappointed the Big Arch was no longer offered, oh well, maybe another time.  For the value, convenience, and consistency, MCD is a solid 4 stars for our occasional visits.

When my friends and I proceeded to order off the kiosk, what appeared to be the manager (not entirely sure, did not identify himself) came out from the back with extreme hostility telling my friends and I to leave. He proceeded to go on and say, "Leave, leave, leave, what are you all doing here? How did you get in, the front is closed and we are closed". We tried to explain that the store hours posted online and in the front, were until 11pm for DINE-IN. Luckily, there was another employee who finished our orders and gave us our food, but even after we received our food the manager (appearance: older Hispanic man in his mid-to-late 50s) pushed us out the door practically. Overall, TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE & hours need to be revised! It also appears from the other reviews listed here that this is a recurring problem. Please remove him immediately.
