These guys are all very helpful, honest, and really do the extra effort to fit in with your plans too. In the past, they stayed late or kept my car overnight so we could get the job done. I've had work done from a major service to small jobs. Recently, when I had a breakdown another local garage quoted double the price for the same job. Called these guys twice to take a look at a problem I had with my car. It's times the guy said "no problem." So I took time off work. My friend took time off work to take me. And when we got there, they decide that they are too busy. What a waste of time. UPDATE: the owner got involved and worked to make things right. After 3 years I was finally able to schedule my airbag replacement with the dealer which was a headache (I was required to take it to a specific dealer as part of the recall). After 3 days without a car (no ride to or from dealer and no rental) my car was ready. I picked it up and was extremely disappointed to find grease on both front seats, headliner and basically all around the dashboard. I had to argue with them to get them to clean just the seat portion. After losing another day while they detailed it I picked up the car and it wasn't much cleaner! I've always taken my cars to Spiteri's and I'm used to the way they take care of their customers. Easy to make appointments, pick-up/drop-off rides are available, they let me know what's happening and NEVER, NEVER has my car been returned dirtier than it was dropped off. This review is way due - I want to give a brief review of my experience with Spiteri's as part of getting SMOG cert done...I reached out via Yelp message (I probably messaged early 5 am to enquire availability & price check)..and I get a quick response from Chuck at 7am. Awesome service by Chuck as well as few of the staff. I also wanted to check some brake noise and Chuck was happy to test drive and address my concerns. While the smog check and brake service was being done, I was offered ride and back home (prob took 2 hrs). While leaving, I casually asked Chuck if there were any body shop/ paint shop to remove some marks on side of my car...he looked and said, "I will get those stain marks off in a minute" - which he amazingly got rid and also provided a neighboring paint shop contact with a fair rating of that paint shop if I had decided to. Needed to get a tire rotation on my Tesla Model 3 2018 Long Range RWD. Price was $55.15 including tax and they included a front wheel balance in addition to rotating the tires. I've called around to a few different places and this one offered a fair price and the tire balance was a great plus. Over the phone, they quoted 30-45 minutes to complete everything and it ended up taking 1 hour. Would come back here again to rotate my tires for my car! read more

I like 'em. They're a little bit more on the spendy side, but I like 'em. They're one of the few state-certified places on the Peninsula that do failed-smog-repairs. That being said, they charged my wife nearly $500 to diagnose and replace a cracked plastic tube and retest the car... With a lobby clean and inviting, I was greeted by co-owner Chuck Spiteri. After a brief chat, he assigned me customer service representative Cris Ramirez. As I'm a woman, I was waiting to be treated as one. But to my surprise, he treated me as an equal. Cris was such a pleasure to work with. He was upbeat and extremely knowledgeable. I was quoted an estimate and I left my pride and joy of 33 years in their hands with their promise they would take good care of my baby. When the call came that my baby was ready, they scheduled their shuttle to pick me up. Cris was there to go over all the work that was done, show me parts that were removed and asked if I had any questions. They won a new customer. When my SUV needs service, I will call Spiteri's. I rarely give out 5 stars. Very impressed! Place was very clean inside and out in front. I mention outside because a couple neighboring business were trashy and one had razors on the side walk! Back to Spiteri's, they have very professional employees. My old auto shop told me that I needed to get my power steering fluid replaced and that it would cost about $400. Spiteri's checked it out and my power steering fluid was 100% fine. They have a shuttle service as well, and you can see them sanitize the shuttle car after it's been used. read more

My husband has taken his car here for years. When my Nissan started turning on by itself, I was freaked out and brought it in. I've never really gotten along with this vehicle, and with Halloween around the corner I was not ruling out demonic possession. They were really helpful over the phone, were excellent about following up and we're able to fix it along with other quirks that have plagued this car. One of their team used to work at Nissan so he was able to diagnose it almost immediately (apparently there was an aftermarket starter the previous owner installed, along with some other modifications) and they performed some much needed maintenance at the same time. I usually check my tires before I start my day and today I noticed a huge nail on the rear passenger's side tire. I was kind of far from my house so I reached out to Spiteri's and their receptionists were very helpful and to the point. This place ATTEMPTS to constantly up sell you on services that are not required and fixes things that are not broken. And from the serviced they recommend--their pricing schedule is extremely high. Most disgusting is that they took advantage of my elderly mother who brought her American auto in to be smog checked and she was told it would not pass--unless they put $800 work of work in fixing the issues. Although this car is 15 yrs old--it has always been properly maintained. Luckily, what they told her made her so distraught--she contacted me for advice and support. I told her to immediately remove her auto from that place. Upon her leaving they tried to charge her $60 for doing nothing. I took her car to a reputable place the next weekend and all they did was change her air filter (under $25) and said she needed to drive her car for about 50 miles--as she just got her oil changed and some oil drips were causing the smoke that was also effecting the test. Simple as that and the car passes the smog test WITHOUT having to spend $800! My other experience was with them 10 yrs ago with a very similar smog issue that they claimed $1200 to correct before it would pass smog. Again took it to a more reputable shop--changed out some minor parts for $300 and PASSED. In a word this is a dishonest shop. If you read the reviews--they all fall along the same comments. If you read my reviews I rarely assign a 1 star, yet this one is well deserved. I would not recommend my worst enemy to use them. And as the other yelpers state, they target the elderly and females and become extremely terse/curt if you challenge their "incorrect" diagnosis.... read more

While driving my car this morning, I noticed a grinding noise when I put my foot on the brake. I called Spiteri's and they asked me to bring my car in hours later. I am so happy I did! My back brakes were metal to metal. I asked if I can bring my car in next week to replace them and Cris kindly refused to let me continue driving my car in that condition. They provide exceptional customer service (above and beyond anything I've ever experienced), they are thorough with their work and are reasonably priced! My car had a lot of 'issues' after being driven here from the east coast. Despite their slick website, these people are either incompetent or poorly tooled up, and their advertisements are fraudulent. The reason for the poor rating is that they subletted my car to a different shop to be diagnosed. They claim to be "experts" in all makes and models but this is not case. They subletted my German car's diagnostics to Kirberg Motors just down the street. If they're going to do that, I might as well cut out the middleman and go straight to Kirberg. Spiteri's will dispute this review, but stop by Kirberg, they'll tell you they get a lot of diagnostic work from Spiteri's. I wonder what else they are subletting because they can't figure things out on their own? read more

They deserve 0 stars. All I wanted was for them to replace my battery and tell me why my car keeps draining my battery and why I have to keep replacing it every couple of months. They did not tell me what was wrong with my car, but they told me I needed to spend 2600 dollars on random stuff that I did not want. I kept having to tell them that no, I don't want all this stuff until I finally got the number down to about 600. They said it wasn't safe to drive, so I said then let me just tow my car out. I finally walked out paying about 520 dollars in labor to change my oil, put in a new battery, and fix a bolt. Don't waste your money! read more
