I used to come here all the time and it's still one of my favorite spots. I was originally gonna go to Home Restaurant but wanted something lighter, so I came here instead. I got the Mediterranean wrap with chicken, easy on the veggies, with a side of garlic aioli and it was sooo good. Customer service was A1 and the vibe was super chill, especially for Mother's Day.

My favorite number is free 99 but a close second is half off! Spitz has a happy hour menu that really makes me smile! The OG Gyro is flavorful, fun and just right! The bartender looks like a Jack of all trades and brought the banter! What really blew my mind was the vinyl casually on display...low key collectors items. Overall, I give the joint an A!

    Street Cart Doner Wrap

Rating: 3.5/5: Hit up Spitz on a mellow day and tried the Street Cart Wrap--with fries tucked inside like a tasty little surprise. Solid wrap. Wrap leaned on the healthier side, which felt like it was trying to do me a favor I didn't ask for needed after my Easter Sunday gorge. The tomato and green sauces came through with a nice lil' kick. It was good... but not "text the group chat immediately" good. Felt like the kind of meal that would hit way harder if the place was poppin' and I had a cold beer in hand. Overall: not bad. Just needs a bit more food pop, chaos, crowds, or a few free pita chips or pickle to take it to the next level.

I love Spitz. You can't go wrong with anything on their menu but my favs are the Medi Bowl, Doner Wrap or Gyro, quinoa salad, and of course their addicting side of pita strips. The service is fairly quick and it's a fun casual atmosphere inside the restaurant. The food is so incredibly tasty and you always leave feeling good after eating here.

I've been coming here for over a decade and I cannot say this enough, Spitz has the most underrated salad (donër salad) and it belongs on the top of LA's best salads (pictured here). The constant rotation of their beer selection is what pub dreams are made of. Servers are always spectacular. Also, there should be a case study on Spitz about how to DIY a food businesses interior; always impressive.

I have always loved Mediterranean food, and right now that I am on a health journey, that seems to be sticking, I decided to try this place, as I passed across it looking for another place. The place described itself as Mediterranen (Med.) street food, which was the allure. I have had Med. food before but what specifically was Med. street food? I was curious enough to enter for answer, and, I know enough to claim that Med. food by ease can be healthy food that is also light. I had both an internal squabble and joy ride trying to identify the aesthetic vibe of this place. For instance, there was this bubble-gum colored spirit that is all around this place. There were these hot pink ropes that held headlight looking flashlights that worked as chandeliers. And no I did not say bubble gum pink just because the ropes were pink. It is is more the electro-punk vibe that seems to be best carried by a modern day Punk Rock Barbie. Like only this Barbie would have chosen the golden unicorn with a twist white horn, because it feels like neon green nail polish--- it attracts attention but at the same time feelds childish yet sophisticated like bubble-gum colored spirit. The other identity evident in the chaos of aesthetic is a modern day punk rocker gone posh and industry, almost like Punk Rocker Ken with gold pipe colored hair. The place had beer on tap and maybe beer on kegs that hanged on the wall. The Craft Beer was listed in these quirky chalkboard looking thinks with stars and colors that made the eye dance and pulse to beats of small pixels that were glitzy details. Last;y. the whole place was colored, accented, decorated, enhanced (like with a toy corner and hooks for employee backpacks) by a toddler and his eight crayons and the toddler also had the gift of unrestrained expression. It was all great, and vibrant, but the place did connect all these elements . It was a whirl-whind of color and things that made it funky but not stylish. It made it cool but not cleaned up. It had the opposite of rustic charm, it had pow-wow factor held by neon colored bandaids, found again clutter, and punk sensibilities. I guess that is why the place can serve as a bar, a restaurant, a work space and a bigger bar on weekends when more crowds are available. I guess, I said this place has variety of space and feel so it adapts to different cycles of time. I opted to get a bowl and it was amazing! I got the Remix Bowl: with quinoa (you can choise rice) llemon herb tahini dressing, marinated garbanzos, harrssa, cabbage slaw, feta, roasted corn, olivs, crispy garbanzos, sumac, and some other commong veggis. My only complain is that the bowl was too small. I wanted more salad, I wanted more cause it was some delicious food that was more than street food, I could eaten at a fine dining establisment and not known that it was from a place that uttered street as a selling point. The crispy garbanzos were the note that hit hard. They were not many, but when you found one in a bite, the crunch and taste as airy delight. Give me roasted, corn, chicken, and the flavors of Mykanos and I am happy. I am not too oroud to admit, that I used my finger to pick up the bits that I could not eat as I devoured. It was good to the last lick. I cannot wait to go back here, and taste more of their options. And apparently, it is a chain. That helps.

Stopped by this place on a road trip. It was a great pit stop. The restaurant and restrooms were clean and we received fast and friendly service. It's a very casual place, lots of folks come just to hang out and maybe play some games after their meal. The food was amazing. I got the Mediterranean doner wrap and it was freshly made and delicious. Definitely will come back if I'm ever in the area.

ordered thru their app and it was ready within 10mins. customer service was friendly. plenty of interior seating and they have a colorful+vibrant aesthetic! i got a bowl full, i loveeeeee all the extras. unfortunately, the lamb was dry and lacked in flavor. don't think i would go for that meat again, but I would come back to order something different. their green sauce saved the day! absolutely delicious.

Everything has been so good and so fresh! My fav is the Ian Glass by far! It was so good and so filling. The price is pretty fair for a solid sandwich with good ingredients. Out server Emily was a delight. So friendly and accommodating (and thanks again for the Baklava!) We had the lamb shwarma plate and the fried chicken plate, both with hummus. Also a side of the Za'atar/sumac fries. Fries came out first PIPING hot, crispy, seasoned perfectly nom nom. The entrees quickly followed. The lamb was so tender and juicy and bursting with flavor. And the fried chicken was AMAZING. Shwarma that is breaded with an amazing mixture and fried. Genius! The plates also came with hummus topped with whole chickpeas (YUM), dilled rice, a cabbage salad and other greens, grilled pita bread, olives and my personal favorite, pickled radishes. Many reviews describe them as beets (which I also love) but these are radishes and they pair so well with the rich meat. An umami bomb! Portions HUGE (we have a full meal waiting in the fridge) and prices very reasonable. Patio is a very fun hang with pretty lights. My only knock is on the chairs which are not exactly "comfy." But that's a trivial issue. Service was attentive and staff so friendly and helpful. I can't remember Emily's colleague's name but shout out to her and her Rasputin's shirt (yay Berkeley vibes.) Could be because it was Sunday and there was a Farmers Market nearby, but still something to consider. We ordered the Lamb Plate ($26). Portion was solid and the plate is actually pretty interesting -- lots of different sides (flatbread, greens, olives, pickled turnips, etc.), so it doesn't feel boring. That said, the lamb itself was just a few small pieces and it was ground. I would've preferred more actual meat Tried the rosemary lemonade too, but didn't really taste any rosemary. Just a regular lemonade, slightly sweet and sour. Also you pay upfront right after ordering. We sat outside on a small patio facing Glendale Blvd. It's a tight space, and at one point someone from the street was walking around nearby talking to themselves, which made the experience a bit less comfortable. Staff was friendly and service was quick though, no issues there. Also, no public restroom, so keep that in mind. Overall, not bad. I was hungry, so I finished everything pretty fast, but it didn't really stand out enough for me to make a special trip again.

For our first visit with our son, we asked the staff for recommendations, and they suggested either the Venice Beach (Turkey) or the New Yorker (Roast Beef). The staff was incredibly generous, offering a roast beef sample, which our son loved! We also appreciated them providing ice and straws for our water. We ordered the New Yorker ($19.00) with roast beef, porcini cream, tomato, and arugula. The sandwich was thoughtfully cut in half, perfect for sharing. The schiacciata bread boasts a crispy exterior and a soft, chewy interior, which beautifully complements the meats and cheeses. We opted to substitute the porcini cream for mozzarella, which was sliced into perfect bite-sized pieces and tasted incredibly fresh. The roast beef was thinly sliced and tender, the tomatoes were fresh and sliced to perfection, and the arugula added a delightful peppery crunch. It's a well-balanced sandwich and one of the best in LA. We would definitely order it again.
