We went in here for a little lunch after a day at the Griffith Observatory and was nothing less than fantastic. It is split between a small restaurant, a deli with ample seating and an outdoor covered seating area that services both in an unassuming strip mall. My gf wanted pasta and ordered the Penne Ariabbiatta as part of a lunch with salad and a drink. The salad and dressing were really great and the pasta was amazing. It had just the right amount of kick. I opted for the Tonnarello Panino, an Italian tuna sandwich with mayonnaise, capers, olives, lettuce and hard boiled egg. It was the best tuna sandwich I've had in my life and, if you look at the picture, it looked incredible, as well. The chef said he make the tuna salad fresh one sandwich at a time and its wonderful. I will start by stating I haven't actually tried the food here. We stopped by to grab some food before going to wait on a family members surgery time. The deli guy said if you want the restaurant it's next door. So we walk up the steps to the restaurant, don't get noticed as the guy is on the phone taking an order. My husband waits and then asks if we can sit anywhere we like and they say this side is pasta if you want sandwiches go to the other side. So we do and standing up glance at the menu which didn't seem to have much of a variety. And then we decide to go down the street and find Home restaurant instead. What kind of horrible service and attitude is this? Especially in the economy we have these days you should be happy to serve customers. That being said, I don't know if there is a financial separation between the two but we see that it's one spot on yelp and we're still confused by the bad service. Restaurant and deli all in one. La Pergoletta deli has some fresh and homemade foods and pasta. They had homemade pastas different flavors for sure next time I will try some of the pastas they have. It was kinda my mistake I ordered the prosciutto & Mozzetta sandwich which was very good and fresh but just plain. Leaving a 2-star review because I really want Paolo to see it. Closing early is a big no-no for me and it's becoming very, very common these days. Folks the food is great so this rank is on service I don't get the idea of closing 10-15 minutes early. Is the staff that hungry to leave that they can't wait out the last 10 minutes? Came in for a 5-sandwich order to take to the Ford tonight. I get it - I'm Karen and it's just a sandwich (or 5) but we had our hearts set on this. For the last few years restaurants have been confirming your attendance once or twice before you arrive and even putting a fee on your credit card if you skip out. I understand this - people flake and they need to ensure a full restaurant. It looks like consumers are going to need to call and confirm if the deli is still going to open when they arrive, or if they have specific food available. We have eaten from La Pergoletta for a while,& just now tried their deli. What a great experience! We easily parked in the lot, walked in, ordered and within a few minutes left with two freshly made subs ( panini). These were not hot nor pressed sandwiches. But they were truly fantastic! I got the Genovese- chicken,roasted red peppers, & they were happy to substitute basil leaves since I cant do pesto( pine nuts allergy) & my husband got the Portobello- arugula, chicken & portobello mushrooms & we both added burrata. So much flavor, it was a fancy flavorful Italian spin for a "sub" sandwich. There desserts are amazing,& got one from there cold case although not sure what its called, it had almost a caramel/coffee taste with cream on top with a consistency of a lighter pudding. This restaurant and deli is very close to my dad's house. Have tried it many times and liked it very much. The last two visits were disappointing. We didn't get one consistent server. You order from one, you get served by another. They gave us some bread to start with. It had a few pieces of bread. Asked for more and were told it would be charged. We agreed and the paid basket was skimpy. Asked if we wanted Parmesan cheese when we were halfway through the meal. The food is good but the customer service was really horrible. Hole in the wall Deli with fresh pasta's, sauces, sweets, ice cream, desserts, and best of all Pressed Panino's! I came here on my Lunch break for a quick meal and a way out of this harsh heat. I was seated quickly and the cashier was very generous on offering water to me then soon followed was my Steak Panino! I was happy that I got to eat without being in a rush to get back to my shift. Stopped by my local deli/sandwich shop and was pleasantly surprised! All fresh or imported ingredients are used. The mozzarella is delicious! I then ventured to the deli counter to purchase some Bresaola (aged cured beef) it was $41 a lb which is quite expensive, so I asked for about 4 sheets of it. They sliced it perfectly thin and perfectly shingled. When I came home and opened the package, therein appeared the delicate slices. I oh so gently peeled them off one by one, placed them on a slice of freshly baked bread, drizzled them with extra virgin olive oil and topped them off with a squeeze of lemon. Very nice place, we visited for the first time and recieved excellent service from Jimmy, genuine professional and attentive. There are two parts to this place, first is restaurant up 2 stairs, and second is deli with lots of room to sit and still has a sense of place. The aroma is the cheese collection and is not overwhelming, it's a nice subtle scent. We had arrived at the deli. Instrumental music perfect for seeing the tone. Place was neat and coordinated. My favorite dish was the fettuccini hai fungi, My italian husband ate my dish... I believe there is also a patio area. Theres a parking lot. Free. The best Italian sandwiches in town and fresh focaccia everyday! I love coming to Pergoletta Deli a couple of times a week to pick up and try different sandwiches. Besides their superb burrata panino choices -- all must tries -- I really enjoy their Eggplant Parm on Focaccia, Speck and Brie (off-menu!) and (my guilty-pleasure) the anchovy and butter -- I love the salty-buttery-crunchy combo! So glad that La Pergoletta has a deli now. The coffee and general store items (baguettes, wine, desserts) are great and very convenient to have in the neighborhood. Went there last night with friends. 2 of us had the cioppinio soup (lots of seafood) and the other had the Ravioli Di Funghi porcini pasta. Both were incredible. I've been going to La Pergoletta Restaurant for several years for their delicious pasta. Super excited to see that they opened a deli so of course I had to try it. Walked in at lunch time and found out that their focaccia bread sold out because a customer bought all of it as soon as they opened. I was a bit bummed but still ordered sandwiches anyways. I ordered the mortadella sandwich with arugula and my husband ordered the pastrami sandwich, both on baguettes. Both were delicious. The baguettes were lightly toasted and pressed panini style - crispy and warm. The mortadella sandwich was simple yet delicious. The pastrami has great flavor and it wasn't overly greasy. If you have great bread and meats, you really don't need much more to make a delicious sandwich. Prices are reasonable. Still have the same cute decor as Pergoletta restaurant. This review is much more about the mgmt than the staff. I really wish this place was on Chownow or Postmates bc it is pure hell to order here. Half the time when I call I either get: 1. No answer bc the management does not have enough staff on. 2. Put on hold for over five minutes bc apparently whoever answers the phone cannot take a to go order and makes me wait until the poor guy who makes the sandwiches AND runs the register AND cuts the meats AND serves the whole deli, must ALSO be the guy to take phone orders. The food is actually quite good and I would easily spend double the amount of money that I do if it weren't for the seriously lame management of the place. I order from places all over Los Feliz and Silverlake 2-3 times a day sometimes and this is far and away the worst experience in the area. It's starting to make me wonder if I should trust the food if they are so clearly off base on what customer service is. I've actually been on hold the entire time that it's taken me to write this review...well not the whole time, I hung up after 5 mins, then re-called 3 mins later and the line was busy-most likely bc my last call was still 'on hold' clogging up their lame phone system. My brother and I were at the La pergoletta restaurant yesterday. We were greeted by the wait staff right away and shown our table. We ordered the Fettuccini bolognese and we enjoyed the dish very much. It had a distinct Italian taste to it, which is hard to come by in a lot of other restaurants.
