The call ended with the staff member saying, "We'll see you tomorrow, (day, date), at (time)." We received a message later that evening stating that they were fully booked & that they were "unable to confirm our reservation", when, in fact, there was never any discussion about our reservation having to be confirmed separately. In other words, a staff member accepting a reservation over the phone doesn't actually mean they'll honor it & that they are free to cancel your reservation at their whim. Their scheduled musical performers are top tier & their menu looks good. We had been looking forward to taking out-of-town guests here. It would've been merely disappointing if we had initially been told that they were fully booked when we called. Instead, they accepted a reservation, then they later rescinded it, & took no responsibility for it nor made an attempt to offer an alternative. GET IT TOGETHER, KANI KA PILA. THIS FRUSTRATION WAS AVOIDABLE.

The building sits behind another structure that seems to block the trade winds, so there was almost no airflow. Service was friendly but slow. The one real standout of the night was the guitar player/singer, who was great and added a lively atmosphere. We sat right next to him and thought we would get blown out but he was a pro and knew how to keep it lively without drowning out the conversations. Unfortunately good live music can't quite make up for uncomfortable seating and inconsistent food and service.
