I ordered fries (which came out in under 10 minutes and were delicious), and she handled my custom sauce request perfectly -- brought everything I needed without me having to ask twice. She checked in at just the right times, and the service overall was attentive, friendly, and seamless. Total night-and-day from my last visit. Also, shoutout to a staff member at the pool with great aloha spirit, and don't miss the homemade pineapple gelato/popsicles near the bar -- so good. This Resturant and bar is located by the pool at the Hyatt hotel on Waikiki. It was like a maze to find it. Glad we did though; they had a happy hour and tv on with sports. Came here for a bite to eat as this was the only place open in the Hyatt area (We also had complimentary coupons to use so we were limited as to where to go). The plate of scrambled eggs, two mini pancakes, and five sausage links was perfect for the kids to split - there was enough pancakes for me to eat as well. The brewed coffee was not good, but it will do if you're in a hurry. Server was so kind, but the food from the kitchen took a very long time (30-40 minutes) and the table behind us received their food before us even though I placed the order before them, and they had four items whereas I had one item, so that was a little annoying. Other than that - it's right at the lively/busy swimming pool and the kids approved the breakfast! They also offer a 15% military discount. I would definitely recommend breakfast over lunch. Kids lunch (cheese pizza, buttered noodles) came with waffle fries, which was a lot of fries. The smoothies aren't made with real fruit either. "SWIM" is OKAY. I like the Hyatt Regency. SWIM is very convenient. It has a chill atmosphere, not too busy, not dead. Live music at night. Decent wait staff. I stayed here December 2025 for a week. I ate at SWIM twice in one week, and visited every day for drinks. The only food I ordered was their cheeseburger and a side salad. The burger was meh, good enough, the patty was kind of dry. The salad was okay, but they forgot the dressing each time I ordered. I thought the price was a little high for what you got. But, hey, it's Waikiki. I once ordered a Bloody Mary. And I gotta tell you, I was NOT impressed. I'm glad they fixed the leak from last year. They had a ceiling leak just above the bar. It used to drip on all the customers who were sitting at the bar. Thank goodness that's taken care of. The staff are pretty chill. One night, a "Karen" apparently had too much to drink and started giving the nice female bartender a hard time. "Karen" couldn't find her room. The bartender tried to help her, but she started yelling at the bartender. The bartender was professional, patient, and called hotel security. Security arrived and escorted "Karen" to her room. Another night, after I attended the hotel's Hula show, I stopped by SWIM for a nightcap. "Cool Operator" by SADE was playing in the background. The bartender and the some waitresses started singing "Cool Operator" together. It was really chill. The guests liked it. The live entertainment was usually one guy with a guitar. It was okay. The music had a chill vibe and fit in nicely. A shoutout to "Michelle". She was my server when I had lunch there. Even though the kitchen forgot my salad dressing each time I ordered a salad, she had a secret stash of dressing somewhere in the backroom. CONCLUSION: I think SWIM is a 3 star establishment. The food is 2 1/2 stars. But I'm going to give it 4 stars because it's convenient when you're a hotel guest, and the staff are really chill and trying their best. read more

This post is mainly for the Wednesday nights Mid Drift lounge event from 7pm-11pm that is located on the 3rd floor swim deck. They had good music played by DJ Osna, cocktails featuring Aperol Spritz, and great eats. We got to try the bulgogi bao buns, inari bombs, mushroom flatbread. The flatbread was my favorite because I love mushrooms and the flatbread was fresh and so soft! I really wanted the truffle tator tots, but hopefully next time I'll get to try them. Unfortunately, I didn't like the food here that much. It's comparable to airport food. All the food comes in a nice bowl with a lid and the service was A1. The Fresh Ahi Tuna sandwich was okay. The fish was somewhat dry and the bun wasn't toasted. The onions were also HUGE. Almost inedible. The Grilled Kalbi Steak was decent. The meat wasn't chewy and the kimchi was a nice crunch and freshness to the meat. Still, it's wasn't amazing and as as some who eats a fair share of kalbi, it's not flavorful enough. The atomism here is good if you're beach ready. It's next to a pool, so many people who want a quick lunch can eat here with their bikinis. Came to the pool and decided to eat at SWIM because it was the only option . And so upset we did . First off the happy hour is not so happy it's about $2-$5 off nothing compared to other places you can go for food and drinks . We got a drink which they might as well have us ice-cream because there was no liquor. We bought a canned drink and someone came by and told me no outside drinks They pretty much give you food and then leave you to be for hours we had to pick up our own plates and bring them back they never came back to ask if we needed anything I think about 2hrs went by and she came and asked if we needed a check. Forgot my drink waited 40minutes for one then the check came it was my husband and I and my two kids we sat next to some friends (who had a completely different tab) . My check came and was stamped %20 gratuity and my friends tab wasn't I asked why and she immediately said oh I'll take it off after we argued a bit . I talked to the manager who offered us a round of drinks and she was very kind which made up for at least a bit of the service . This is an adjoining restaurant next to Hyatt regency, Waikiki's pool area. Great location! Has huge open pool and sea facing windows where all the beautiful ocean breeze keep you cool from hot tropical sun. All the loungers have barcode to check the menu which they could add option to order from there. But their staff is roaming the grounds and taking orders. We tried koala tai and traditional mai tai. Both were decent. Only got to try caesar salad which was quite tasty all the goodness of Parmesan cheese shavings and fresh cherry tomatoes. It was quite a big bowl for light meal. We recently stayed at the Hyatt Regency, Waikiki. The Swim is the only restaurant on the premises that isn't buffet-style, room service, or a luau. It also has a bar, and pool-side service. The service was always friendly and competent, although overworked. We ate here several times during our stay. The Swim is poolside, not beach front, although you can see the beach across the street. There are better choices for a beach front bar and food at other nearby resorts. The menu has several choices but isn't extensive. I must say that the food is very tasty with substantial portions. The only thing I would avoid is the pizza. Kids might not mind it, but we were disappointed the one time we ordered it. It lacked flavor and was barely warm. We ended up never eating the leftovers. Kind of a waste of $$, but we were hungry. If we stay at the Hyatt again, we probably will eat at the Swim again. read more

Pool bar located in thee Hyatt Regency Waikiki. We were on a three day bus tour prior to an island cruise. Touring for 10 hours left us old people too tired to try to go downtown for dinner. This review is from the perspective of a guest at the Hyatt hotel that the restaurant is in, so there may be some differences. We've been here a few times over the years, and the quality all around has remained pretty consistent. Service is usually really good, have had mostly friendly and attentive waiters, although sometimes it can be slow, especially if you are waiting for them to come by and ask what you want while you sit by the pool. If you go up to the bar to order it's a lot faster to get served, obviously. Will also be served more easily if you sit at the tables in the actual bar. But for the most part if you wait, someone will come by soon enough. Pool is great, during the day you will see a lot of families and children, who are likely staying at the hotel. Has a nice hot tub as well. Can rent cabanas with the hotel which are expensive, but nice if you have 2-4 people and want a more private vibe. Area is great, with some cool stuff nearby, aswell as being right off the beach. View is beautiful, you can see the beach and street below you. Food is generally tasty enough, although it's nothing too crazy. They used to have pork sliders, which as far as I can tell, they have since discontinued, but those were delicious, aswell as some chips and cheese sauce, which I heard was also really good. Drinks are solid. Mai tais and pina coladas are good if you like them, personally I order margaritas, which are perfectly adequate. Price is definitely what you'd expect from a hotel pool bar, which means not cheap, but generally the quantity of food per order is solid. read more

My family and I stayed at the hotel for a week and came to SWIM every single day. We only ate twice, but got drinks at the bar every day. The service here is AMAZING. Every single person is so kind and really cares for customers. But ESPECIALLY Sean the bartender. He treats customers like an old friend. We had a credit from the hotel booking so we decided to try this pool side restaurant in the Hyatt Regency on our last night in Waikiki. We ordered the Lava drink and a Mai Tai to start. The lava drink was like a strawberry daiquiri, a little on the sweet side. My sister's Mai Tai was very strong. A lot of rum and a little pineapple juice. She couldn't drink it. The garlic wings were not crispy but the lava tots were good and crispy. I had the ahi sandwich which was ok but I enjoyed the fries. The kalbi beef was decent but a little tough. Overall, the food was decent but could have been so much better considering the high prices. Service also was decent but not great. Maybe they were short staffed, I'm not sure. Also there is no updated menu on their website. Our server said it hasn't been updated for as long as he has worked there, which was about 6 years. I came here during their happy hour (4pm-6pm daily) which includes $9 cocktails, beers, and wines as well as some appetizers. This bar is on the third floor so you'll have to take the elevator up and follow the signs to find the bar. They have a nice outdoor pool area if you want to chill there. Unfortunately it was raining when I was there but I didn't mind sitting at the bar area. The service was friendly and I had some good small talk with the bartender. My first drink was the mai tai ($9) which was a really good and solid drink. My second drink was the lilikoi margarita ($9) which was also pretty good.
