    PIER 38 POKE AHI NACHOS

A wonderful poolside bar and restaurant with comfortable outdoor seating. The food and service were excellent, and its convenient location inside the Hyatt Regency makes it an ideal dining option. We highly recommend this spot. The staff provided attentive and friendly service, making for an enjoyable experience. While the prices may be typical for Hawaii, the quality and atmosphere make it well worth it. Give it a try - you won't be disappointed!

The breakfast burrito was so delicious, recommend 10/10. Pina colada was refreshing. Got a double shot because it's a bit sweet with just standard. Recommend any time.

Katie was our waitress! Special shout out to her for being super down to earth and personable! Super chill and cool all around vibe. Nothing exciting about a pool side hotel restaurant. We ate here the first day just grabbing a snack since they have happy house 4-6pm everyday! Truth be told they have the best Lava flow and piña Colada I've had since we been here! Blended to perfection! Chefs kiss!

The food was really good but the server we had was TERRIBLE. She was rude and pushy, got mad when my husband went up to the bar to ask if they served mocktails because she said he should've asked her (possibly because of tip issue??) but she was an absolute nightmare, I saw others walk away from their table looking really irritated after she spoke with them. She needs additional training for sure

Update: Completely different experience today. After my swim, I sat down and within a minute Mary came over, greeted me warmly, and got me set up right away with a menu. I ordered fries (which came out in under 10 minutes and were delicious), and she handled my custom sauce request perfectly -- brought everything I needed without me having to ask twice. She checked in at just the right times, and the service overall was attentive, friendly, and seamless. Total night-and-day from my last visit. Also, shoutout to a staff member at the pool with great aloha spirit, and don't miss the homemade pineapple gelato/popsicles near the bar -- so good. Thank you, Mary, for turning my experience around! xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Service at SWIM today was shockingly bad -- to the point it felt like no service was happening at all. I had to get up and go to the bar just to find a menu. There were two servers and a bartender working, and I was told someone would come check on me after I picked it up. That never happened. It has now been around 45 minutes, and I've been sitting here with a menu in front of me the entire time -- completely ignored. No one returned, no one took my order, no follow-up, nothing. I couldn't even flag anyone down because staff were nowhere to be found. This is not just slow service -- this is complete absence of service. Extremely disappointing, especially for a place that is usually known for better standards. Honestly, I would have happily ordered food and drinks and charged them to my room, but I was never given the opportunity because no one ever came back. Something was very off today, and it absolutely needs to be addressed.

Swim Restaurant is a must try! It's always have a nice breeze and you can sit and watch the ocean or watch a game. The pizzas are very tasty and the drinks are even better! Our server Winny was/is amazing and always gives us service with just so much enthusiasm!

    HH nachos- great for sharing

This Resturant and bar is located by the pool at the Hyatt hotel on Waikiki. It was like a maze to find it. Glad we did though; they had a happy hour and tv on with sports. My other half was really happy. He could watch the dodgers play . I ordered the bartender drink of the day ; which was a passion fruit Long Island; strong; fruity and good. Good choice of the day! Glad I made this selection. We wanted something to munch on before dinner ; so we went for the HH nachos. Amazing. Omg and even meat in them too. They are a popular item, I can see why these little buggers are addicting. Even comes with a side of guacamole. Very filling appetizer! This place gets packed pretty fast and I think the only downside is ... they start rushing you out faster than you would like. People stand next to your table waiting for you to get up; waitresses clears your table and even though you just received another drink tell you ; free to take your drink with you. And it becomes a little awkward; so you leave and see people who were standing next to your table rush over to take it. It would have been nice to be able to enjoy our last drink without feeling rushed out; that's my only complaint. Service was good up until that point.

Had a few hours to kill before our flight home and we had to check out of our hotel. Came here for a bite to eat as this was the only place open in the Hyatt area (We also had complimentary coupons to use so we were limited as to where to go). Sat inside the bar area. was lovely with a nice breeze flowing through. Service was pretty good. Food was surprisingly delicious and portions were generous. We had the fish tacos and the fish and chips. Fish was the swordfish. Perfectly cooked and delicious. Coleslaw that came with the fish and chips were ok - a little on the sweet side.

Delicious food and drinks by the pool with an ocean view. Our favorite way to end our days while staying at the Hyatt

    Lunch time at the pool!

Ordered "The Usual" for the kids to split and a coffee for myself. The plate of scrambled eggs, two mini pancakes, and five sausage links was perfect for the kids to split - there was enough pancakes for me to eat as well. The brewed coffee was not good, but it will do if you're in a hurry. Server was so kind, but the food from the kitchen took a very long time (30-40 minutes) and the table behind us received their food before us even though I placed the order before them, and they had four items whereas I had one item, so that was a little annoying. Other than that - it's right at the lively/busy swimming pool and the kids approved the breakfast! They also offer a 15% military discount. I would definitely recommend breakfast over lunch. Kids lunch (cheese pizza, buttered noodles) came with waffle fries, which was a lot of fries. The smoothies aren't made with real fruit either. Service was good, but the food came out super super slow. Would come back to share "The usual" for the kids if they want a simple comfort breakfast food.

Great poolside bar at Hyatt Regency Waikiki (only having drinks today). Week 14 NFL Sunday games, mimosas, island jolt cocktail, Soggy Dollar spiced rum with POG. Nice vibe and Kai is an excellent bartender- takes pride in serving delicious and beautiful cocktails. The "juice" is actual puréed fruit for the guava mimosa and POG cocktail. Not weird artificial sugary stuff you get in other bars.

Came by after lunch, pool/restaurant wasn't too busy, but service was slow. Took a while to just get menus. Placed our order and was told it'd be about 10 minutes. Food came out in 20. We ordered a Margherita pizza, pasta with marinara sauce, and a cobb salad with chicken on the side. Food came out with chicken in it, they took it back and said another would be made quickly, after another 10minutes, we cancelled the salad and asked for the bill. The pizza and pasta were ok. Not bad, not great. Service was good/friendly, but slow. Views of the beach/ocean was nice

There's no: "Moonglow" (Benny Goodman) or "That was my heart" (honor to Ella Fitzgerald), so I asked for my favorite aperitif, "Dubonnet" , no. But, they came up with my other favorite, sambuca Mist. I have to agree with another reviewer that the French baguette served with the charcuterie was hard as could be and inedible. I did not enjoy the choice of cheeses as they were both of the same hard boring tastes, unimaginative, mix it up. They olives should be pitted. The tiramisu dessert was very delicious, even though very small, but expected--after all its fine dining. I have no other way to tell new manager to up their game in the food and beverage department. Just wouldn't expect Halekulani to slip in these departments. Also, manager never came around or was seen checking in his or her patrons, not very 5 star there. Just being honest. The complimentary valet parking was exceptional. Thank you for a very enjoyable evening.

That's a shame because it has the potential to be very good. When you start with a cocktail concept that is deliberately kept low key with no signage, and a drink menu that rotates and evolves, you have a pretty good floor to start. Having a cozy place to settle in and being able to enjoy food from Chris Kajioka should give 430 Pkwy a high ceiling. If you like an espresso martini try something a little different. Their Espressing My Love batches espresso with Averna, black walnut bitters, and a unique monkeypod syrup. Unfortunately, there is no espresso machine so you cannot get fresh drawn espresso to make a Carajillo the way Cafe Miro use to. The ahi brioche is a carry over from all Chris Kajioka places. The grilled cheese is excellent. Hotdogs are kicked up - it used to be a black truffled miso chicken sausage but the current one is a little different. The problem is the food preparation totally undermines the whole place. Without a separate kitchen you have frying being done just a few feet away from where cocktails are made. If you sit on the right side of the bar you will quickly understand why this doesn't work. I would come here more frequently if i didn't have to smell like cooking oil afterwards. Fix that problem and this place would rock.
