Chicken and bacon with jalapeño pizza

Swim Restaurant is a must try! It's always have a nice breeze and you can sit and watch the ocean or watch a game. The pizzas are very tasty and the drinks are even better! Our server Winny was/is amazing and always gives us service with just so much enthusiasm!

HH nachos- great for sharing

This Resturant and bar is located by the pool at the Hyatt hotel on Waikiki. It was like a maze to find it. Glad we did though; they had a happy hour and tv on with sports. My other half was really happy. He could watch the dodgers play . I ordered the bartender drink of the day ; which was a passion fruit Long Island; strong; fruity and good. Good choice of the day! Glad I made this selection. We wanted something to munch on before dinner ; so we went for the HH nachos. Amazing. Omg and even meat in them too. They are a popular item, I can see why these little buggers are addicting. Even comes with a side of guacamole. Very filling appetizer! This place gets packed pretty fast and I think the only downside is ... they start rushing you out faster than you would like. People stand next to your table waiting for you to get up; waitresses clears your table and even though you just received another drink tell you ; free to take your drink with you. And it becomes a little awkward; so you leave and see people who were standing next to your table rush over to take it. It would have been nice to be able to enjoy our last drink without feeling rushed out; that's my only complaint. Service was good up until that point.

Fish tacos

Had a few hours to kill before our flight home and we had to check out of our hotel. Came here for a bite to eat as this was the only place open in the Hyatt area (We also had complimentary coupons to use so we were limited as to where to go). Sat inside the bar area. was lovely with a nice breeze flowing through. Service was pretty good. Food was surprisingly delicious and portions were generous. We had the fish tacos and the fish and chips. Fish was the swordfish. Perfectly cooked and delicious. Coleslaw that came with the fish and chips were ok - a little on the sweet side.

Lunch time at the pool!

Ordered "The Usual" for the kids to split and a coffee for myself. The plate of scrambled eggs, two mini pancakes, and five sausage links was perfect for the kids to split - there was enough pancakes for me to eat as well. The brewed coffee was not good, but it will do if you're in a hurry. Server was so kind, but the food from the kitchen took a very long time (30-40 minutes) and the table behind us received their food before us even though I placed the order before them, and they had four items whereas I had one item, so that was a little annoying. Other than that - it's right at the lively/busy swimming pool and the kids approved the breakfast! They also offer a 15% military discount. I would definitely recommend breakfast over lunch. Kids lunch (cheese pizza, buttered noodles) came with waffle fries, which was a lot of fries. The smoothies aren't made with real fruit either. Service was good, but the food came out super super slow. Would come back to share "The usual" for the kids if they want a simple comfort breakfast food.

Nice morning coffee spot watching surfers

Great poolside bar at Hyatt Regency Waikiki (only having drinks today). Week 14 NFL Sunday games, mimosas, island jolt cocktail, Soggy Dollar spiced rum with POG. Nice vibe and Kai is an excellent bartender- takes pride in serving delicious and beautiful cocktails. The "juice" is actual puréed fruit for the guava mimosa and POG cocktail. Not weird artificial sugary stuff you get in other bars.

Came by after lunch, pool/restaurant wasn't too busy, but service was slow. Took a while to just get menus. Placed our order and was told it'd be about 10 minutes. Food came out in 20. We ordered a Margherita pizza, pasta with marinara sauce, and a cobb salad with chicken on the side. Food came out with chicken in it, they took it back and said another would be made quickly, after another 10minutes, we cancelled the salad and asked for the bill. The pizza and pasta were ok. Not bad, not great. Service was good/friendly, but slow. Views of the beach/ocean was nice

Moco loco without gravy

Delicious food, plenty of seating, and decent happy hour! Happy hour is from 4-6. I absolutely loved my server, Michelle. She was super patient while I wrangled my baby, and offered multiple refreshes on water and other bevvies! The loco moco hit the spot for a fairly healthy lunch that was nice and filling. I ordered it without gravy. If you're staying at the Hyatt this is a great option. There's indoor and outdoor seating, indoor has AC. The guava Paloma was 10/10!

Hurricane Tots

Come here if you want to our outside, but away from the hustle and bustle of Waikiki. Food // Ordered: Hurricane Tots and some drinks Who doesn't like tater tots, especially when they have some good stuff on top of them. The serving size is quite generous, and the sauces on top compliment the slightly salty tots. Overall it is a good dish if you are looking for a quick bite while you wash down down some happy hour drinks. Restaurant // Located on the 3rd floor of the Hyatt Regency you will find SWIM, along with the swimming pool. There is a bar to sit at as well as a few tables out on the patio all while being only a few steps away from the swimming pool and the lounge chairs. We came during happy hour and were able to snag a table, but we did see a small wait a few times that we passed by.

Off the Wall Beach Burger with Teriyaki Chicken

Unfortunately, I didn't like the food here that much. It's comparable to airport food. All the food comes in a nice bowl with a lid and the service was A1. The Fresh Ahi Tuna sandwich was okay. The fish was somewhat dry and the bun wasn't toasted. The onions were also HUGE. Almost inedible. The Grilled Kalbi Steak was decent. The meat wasn't chewy and the kimchi was a nice crunch and freshness to the meat. Still, it's wasn't amazing and as as some who eats a fair share of kalbi, it's not flavorful enough. The atomism here is good if you're beach ready. It's next to a pool, so many people who want a quick lunch can eat here with their bikinis. The chairs are also ventilated so perfect for letting water drip through.

Came to the pool and decided to eat at SWIM because it was the only option . And so upset we did . First off the happy hour is not so happy it's about $2-$5 off nothing compared to other places you can go for food and drinks . We got a drink which they might as well have us ice-cream because there was no liquor. The pizza wasn't bad honestly probably the best part the wings were awful and the chips were just that the rojo salsa was good . The service was horrific !!!!!! We bought a canned drink and someone came by and told me no outside drinks They pretty much give you food and then leave you to be for hours we had to pick up our own plates and bring them back they never came back to ask if we needed anything I think about 2hrs went by and she came and asked if we needed a check. Forgot my drink waited 40minutes for one then the check came it was my husband and I and my two kids we sat next to some friends (who had a completely different tab) . My check came and was stamped %20 gratuity and my friends tab wasn't I asked why and she immediately said oh I'll take it off after we argued a bit . I talked to the manager who offered us a round of drinks and she was very kind which made up for at least a bit of the service . Overall it wasn't a great experience as she agreed it was complete unacceptable.

The atmosphere is cozy, warm, and inviting -- I felt like I was relaxing in someone's living room at home. The service was fast, and all of the waiters were very friendly and attentive. She made reservations for us, which is recommended. You check in on the first floor and are then escorted into the speakeasy. I won't share much more, as one should experience it themselves. But the ambiance is dim, semi-private, on-theme, and cozy yet lively. There's a bar area as well as the dining area where we sat. Service was fine. We were checked on periodically, but the food did take quite some time to come out. We shared some pupus, off their happy hour menu. We got the Smashed Cucumbers, House Karaage, and Sinigang Fries. The cucumbers weren't spicy, even though they were listed as spicy. It was more oily, but still crisp and refreshing. The fries were perfect for snacking on, with a nice sour-savory flavor from the sinigang. The karaage was extremely big! Not too crispy like usual, but still meaty. We also asked for six, but only received five pieces. My friend got the Lamb Ribs as well, which fell off the bone, and she seemed to enjoy them. My other friend and I shared the Ulu Taco Flight. We chose Suadero, Pork Belly, and Seafood as our protein. I enjoyed the seafood; it was lobster. It was sweet and mild but nicely cooked. The aioli was a nice addition. The pork belly was fine; it was quite spicy, which was a bit overpowering. My friend who had the beef taco said the wagyu was great but also quite spicy. The tacos themselves were quite small for the price. Overall, if you're into speakeasies or curious, Vintage Books is worth a visit at least once. The food is creative, and the drinks are good. Glad I could come and hang out with my friends. Find them on the ground floor. Parking is validated in the building; give your ticket to the host.

Plan for reservations well in advance because you're going to want to sit at the bar. That's where the storytelling is center stage. From the outside, you'd easily miss it. To my surprise, on a Sunday evening after having dinner nearby at Maze, my wife and I walked over to Bar Leather Apron and we were able to get seated right away! In fact, around 7:30 p.m. when we stopped by, there was actually a ton of seating available in the bar. Who would've guessed. If you're in the same boat as me and are unable to find a reservation for your upcoming visit, I would encourage you to stop by and try a walk-in. The first page of the menu lists a wide variety of whiskey based cocktails. Most -- if not all, of the cocktails are pre-fixed with BLA (Bar Leather Apron), and represent a collaboration with the named distillery. If you're fan of whiskey, you'll definitely have a difficult time picking only one. I ultimately ordered their "Take Warning" -- 2021 BLA Knob Creek BLA Single Barrel, Cynar, Carpano Antica, Mezcal, Bergamot Salt. Drinks here are not cheap -- averaging $20 to $25 per drink. Although my drink was very spirit forward, it still felt very well balanced. I appreciated the hint of smokiness from the mezcal that rounded out the end of a sip. Service here quick and friendly. When we received the check, a cute small chocolate snack was brought over as well, borrowed from the menu at Maze. Overall, I can see why Bar Leather Apron has earned so many accolades in its field. Definitely worth a stop by if you enjoy the art of mixology.

Tucked on the second floor of a Piikoi Parkway building, it feels like stepping back in time, a true bespoke bar with vintage art, moody lighting, and comfy couches that make it perfect for couples or a night out with friends. We sat at the bar, which was a highlight, Michael and Tony were welcoming, easy to talk story with, and clearly know their craft. I went with the Barreled Old Man, a smooth, layered mix of bourbon, rye, and brandy that just worked, while my wife's Sesame Veil brought a nutty, balanced flavor that stood out. For round two, the Espressing My Love was a great take on an espresso martini, and Michael built my wife a custom drink off her favorite flavors and nailed it again. We paired it with the smoked mozzarella and salami grilled cheese and Ho Farms tomato soup, and this is where it really hit. The sandwich came out hot and crisp, and when you took a bite the cheese pulled away just right, that perfect melt, with the salami adding a savory kick. The tomato soup was fresh, bright, and made for dipping you didn't want to stop. We were welcomed with a table that had our name on it, a small touch that goes a long way. Prices are on point for the quality and experience you're getting. It's a bit of a hidden, hip spot, not for a quick drink but for when you want to sit, relax, and enjoy it. Parking is tight, but you can park at Ala Moana and walk over, and it's worth it. Next time we're coming back for Grandma's Old Fashioned and the pork belly bao buns.
