I met up with work place associates for lunch. we each ordered from the lunch menu. it's a good deal. you get to pick an app with soup or salad. I ordered the beef noods soup. I picked the chive pancake as my app and I got a salad. I killed the salad before taking a pic. I didn't expect the chive pancake to look like a brownie but it was very tasty. it had a mild onion flavor with a crispy fried exterior..the rice flour was soft and chewy on the inside. the beef noods soup was just okay. not like pho but definitely hit the spot on a cold spring day. I'd definitely come back to dine here again. plenty of parking across the street at the train station after onsite working folks come home. there's also a parking lot in the back. read more

This place is my favorite Thai restaurant in the area and we order delivery from them often. Virtually everything we've ordered from them has been outstanding. Particularly fond of the Chicken Sate, pad Thai And the Drunken noodles. And prices seem reasonable considering the quality. Highly recommend. Ate there tonight with my wife. Sunday night, very quiet at 6:30, only 2 other tables occupied,but within 45 minutes, the place was 3/4 full. My wife ordered Thai Iced tea that she didn't care for, so I enjoyed it very much. Layer with dark tea at the bottom, a sweet layer in the middle, and top layer of cream. It was good. We loaded up on appetizers, my favorite go-to's for a Thai place: spring rolls, and Curry puffs. We added something new to us, DimSim. All were delicious,and came with sauces, sweet, spicy and smoky. The DimSim was steamed, packed with shrimp and crab and there were 6 big ones! Came with flavorful dark dipping sauce. The spring rolls were crispy and good, vegetarian, with a spicy dipping sauce. The curry puffs with chicken and potato inside were classically good. Identical to what I get at every good Thai place. For entrees we had Green Curry bowl with chicken, and a grilled item called Lemongrass Chicken. The curry was great, slightly spice with coconut milk, basil, eggplant, bamboo shoots, peppers with plenty of chicken slices. Came with white rice. Excellent and I would order again. The Lemongrass chicken did not fare so well. It was three chicken breast slices, marinated and cooked on grill. The meat was too tough, but the grilled veggies were delicious. I got the drunken noodles with chicken and shrimp, my wife had the pineapple fried rice, and for appetizers we got the spring rolls. The spring rolls were tasty and not greasy at all. My noodles had good flavor and spice was spot on. Only disappointment was that there were only 2 pieces of shrimp, and Maybe could use a little more salt but still good. We got there later in the evening (an hour before closing) and were still able to enjoy our meal. We skipped the appetizers as we didn't want to overstay. The food was exceptionally good. Ordered the red curry duck, crab meat fried rice, grill chicken with sticky rice and papaya combo, and the beef combo dinner that had black sticky rice and grilled veggies. They were all delicious. The restaurant is very nicely decorated and clean. I especially love the large salt water aquarium that's well maintained. We arrived when the place just opened so there was no other customers there. We sat right away and the servers were ok, kinda young. The place was very clean and not so big but would fit a good amount of people. It is BYOB as well. So the person I was with wanted to order different things so we can try. The curry had a sweet and hot taste that I didn't particularly care for. The snapper was seasoned well on the top but not throughout. The shrimp was really good with the bbq sauce. For starters, I had the tom yum soup with mushroom and chicken. My husband had the salad with peanut sauce. We both ordered the chive pancakes for our appetizer. Have ordered here at half a dozen times the last 5-7 yrs and while it wasn't the best I've had in NNJ (Chok Dee in Norwood my pick) or even this area was always decent and b/c it was closest to me would get pickup every now and then. A couple of wks ago, though, had a very subpar meal. I always order fried rice, Pad Se-ew (sometimes Thai) and maybe spring rolls, that's its. Both the rice and Se-ew were bland to the point of having like zero taste. Oddly, began to taste a little of the noodles once the dish was almost finished (was starving), when I turned the noodles over. The rice wasn't properly cooked as parts of it were in sticky clumps. I'm a terrible cook and can probably make better fried rice. Got delivery and including tip and delivery charges was $75, close to unacceptable quality for this price. Can't remember a Thai food experience so bland tbh. Other times I went here food was decent so maybe this is an off-day, or maybe this was just delivery (other times I picked up). In any case, probably won't order again anytime soon, that's how unmemorable this experience was. read more

I thought this might be a fluke after being given the "We're really busy" excuse, however after looking at other review's it's a reoccurring theme. Take that as you will. Ordered takeout in advance, showed up at the end of the time frame provided, ended up waiting for around 40 minutes beyond that for a small order of 2 dishes. Not great. Others had the same problem who showed up after me, which is fine but there were only 4 tables with people inside. Back to the food, if you're hungry... order an appetizer and extras, because portion sizes are very small. At least for takeout. The actual flavor of the food was quite weak, the sauce was (not an exaggeration here) brown water that just spilled out of my container. It had no flavor, and I ordered a spicy stir fried dish. Thankfully I covered it in Sriracha so it had something to it. Also glad I had some old rice in my fridge to keep me from being hungry after. Overall I was let down by this place, and it seems others have been too, and are then berated by the owner for sharing a bad experience. I think that's a sign to improve, not fight with people who choose to frequent your business. I will try this place one more time and update my review accordingly, as it's only fair. read more

We decided last minute to go on Valentines Day and what a great meal. While the restaurant was busy with in person dining and non-stop take out orders, our food arrived in a fair amount of time, and more importantly, was delicious. I said to my wife that I noticed the staff working that night were hustlers, so knew everything was going to be great. I wanted to really like it since Thai food is my favorite, but the food was so disappointing. The tom yum soup was really sweet and the crabmeat fried rice was misleading. The crab meat is more like crab flakes, don't expect lumps of crab. The lime was dark in color meaning it was old. The curry puffs were sweet on their own and then accompanied with a sugar sauce that was overall disappointing. In conclusion, this economy is too tight to spend money on subpar meals. All in all, it's clear corners are getting cut which is only reflecting on lack of quality read more

I like green curry salmon, very flavorful without overpowering. and the crispy duck is exceptional tasty! The best duck dish ever.

The decor has not been updated since my last review ten years ago, and it's looking tired, bordering on dingy. The lacquered tabletops have a lot of chips, scratches, and rings from glasses. Of course, I can overlook all of that if the food is good. We ordered the chicken pad thai and the shrimp pad see ew. The pad thai was disappointing. The noodles were very mushy, and the flavor was one-note. All I could taste was fish sauce. The chicken pieces were dry and flavorless. They did not give me a lime wedge to add some acidity. The pad see ew was a little better. The shrimp were tender, the broccoli was crisp, and the sauce had a good balance of flavor of oyster sauce, soy, and sugar, with a subtle pan-seared smokiness. However, the noodles had an unpleasant slimy texture. They have an extensive menu, and I want to be fair, but based on these two basic dishes, I can't give Splash of Thai more than three stars. I might return again to sample some other dishes, but I'm not in a hurry to do so. read more

Food here is very good. Dined in once there Valentine's Day but have ordered delivery and picked up from there at least 10 times when coming home from work and driving through Westfield. The food always piping hot even when I get home. Their drunken noodles are very tasty as well as their Pad Thai. Hope you're a fan of the mango sticky rice dessert it's enough to split after the large portions they give. Service is average speed wise for an extremely busy restaurant. Wait times on getting your food are a little long but to be expected for the quality of the food. But once your food is packaged and waiting for pickup it sits with other bags and you need to be more proactive looking for your name or you'll wait around for a few more minutes unnecessarily. The ambiance there is quaint conversations in there between all the tables would make it seem like it's a much larger restaurant you're in. Can barely hear music if it's playing in the background. Bathrooms are clean as is the restaurant love if for takeout. Will be going there for many years to come. read more

With their drunken noodles it says shrimp and scallops but you get one scallop and four shrimp and they load every single dish with bland bok choy most that is only the stem. The amounts of sauce they give you are laughable. They should really give what they advertise or change how things are worded because it's pretty disappointing. read more

Really great Thai food. I can't even put my finger on why, but although their menu items are typical for a Thai restaurant the food just tastes better than average. Could be fresher ingredients, or home-made vs. bottled sauces, or maybe just an after-effect of the nice ambiance and service. We came with two kids (age 5 and 1) and had an outdoor table. I came to Splash of Thai today for my lunch break from work and had a pleasant experience. I work in Clark so the 2 closest Thai restaurants to me are Thailand Restaurant on Central Avenue and Splash of Thai. I tried the Roll Platter sampler with the rare tuna spring rolls, thai spring rolls, and the fresh rolls. It was $12 for 2 tuna, 2 thai spring rolls, and 3 fresh rolls. I thought this was a little overpriced based on the size and quantity. I've found appetizers at Thailand Restaurant to be cheaper and just as tasty, if not tastier. For my meal, I ordered the Drunken Noodles which brings me to my biggest complaint with Splash of Thai. Their portions are very small, at least compared to Thailand Restaurant's. Over there, I find the meals to taste better and the portions are nearly double that of Splash of Thai. Usually I order the lunch Drunken Noodles from Thailand Restaurant and I can never finish my meal in one sitting. Maybe Splash of Thai is trying to help me with portion control, but they could spare some more so I leave close to being full. Even with the appetizers, I was still a little hungry! My friend wanted the drunken noodles from Splash of Thai, I liked the sound of the dish, so I agreed to try the restaurant. I got a hot tea, forgetting that Asian restaurants in the U.S. outside of a Chinatown usually charge for teas (a small pot for $3). For starters we shared the crabmeat pancake. It was just one piece and not large, but it tasted great though. The texture was like a crabcake, and the taro flavor was faint but there. The peach sauce was a perfect compliment as was the mango salsa. My friend ordered the drunken noodles and I ordered the Splash Thai fried rice. I had a taste of the noodles and it was pretty spicy but tasty (she ordered medium spicy). My fried rice was good, though it did not have any particular strong taste. The texture of the rice was a bit sticky than usual fried rice dishes. The seafood in the dish was all cooked well, but it didn't wow me. We had also pre-ordered the chocolate souffle.
