If I could I would give 0 stars. I walked in to Splashworks over a month ago looking for a few things as I'm building a new kitchen and 6 bathrooms in my new home. As all the workers were chatting to themselves, nobody offered to help. I sat at the counter waiting for someone to offer to help for a few minutes before interrupting their conversation as I needed to go ( hungry toddler in hand). They said they would reach out to their contact for what I needed and email me once they heard back. 3 weeks went by and I emailed them asking for an update... no response. 2 more weeks... nothing. This store stole over $100 dollars of my money. I went to this store because I wanted to support local businesses. Initially they were very helpful with my order, until I purchased things and then they treated me terribly. First issue I came into the store to buy things for my bathroom remodels. My contractor told me what I needed to get and I planned to buy that. The woman there Joanne also showed my some fancy drains. I thought the looked nice, and I talked to her a lot about what exactly my plans for my shower was and she told me that the drain I purchased, on her suggestion, would work in my shower. It did not. There were three parts to the drain, none of which my contractor could use. When I tried to explain this she completely refused to acknowledge that she sold me something I couldn't use. She flat out said my contractor was wrong. My contractor obviously knows more about my shower that she does, she should have been willing to admit that she made a mistake. I was only able to return one of the 3 parts. The other 2 were a waste of my money and the store refused to take responsibility for selling me the wrong item. If for some reason you choose this store, don't listen to them. They just want to sell things not help people. Second issue, I ordered two bathroom faucets. I received one. I trusted the store to get my order correct, this was a mistake on my part. I asked the man who gave me the order if there was a problem if I could come back and they would fix it. He claimed that I could. Later when there was an issue I told this to Joann, and she said "He didn't mean that." I tried to tell them that I was missing a faucet and they basically interrogated me about it. They went around talking to each other saying things like, "IF I was missing the faucet it would be in the back", "IF it was missing why didn't I call right away?" It was extremely unprofessional. It turns out that Joanne had ordered 2 of the shower heads systems for my hall bathroom and no faucet for my master bathroom. I had assumed that the shower head with bar was in two boxes because it was a bigger item, so I hadn't noticed this yet. When she figured out her mistake, rather than admit this and apologize for wasting my time. She basically accused me of having an extra thing I didn't bring back. I had to make another trip to go get this and come back again to return it. And not so much as a simple apology for the mistake or for all the accusatory IF statements. I should bring them to court for the lost money, but I think it's worth $100 dollars to never have to speak to or deal with such awful people anymore. If for some reason you choose to do business with this company I sincerely hope you do not face any issues. They do not care about their customers, they only care about making money. Once they have yours they will stop being nice. read more

We purchased all our bathroom and some of kitchen fixtures for a full remodeling project. Absolutely top notch service and very responsive. We changed some of the fixtures as they did not work out as well as I thought they would. They were extremely helpful with those changes and replacements. Most of my dealings was with Tino and he was great in making sure that I got everything needed. He was very helpful with great suggestions for different options we were trying. He was extremely patient with us going over minute details and making sure that we got what we wanted. He also pointed us in the right direction and suggested the right items rather than pushing expensive items. Great store, great service and great attitude. read more

I was crunched on time to find 4 sinks. I'm remodeling 2 restrooms and the contractor needed the sinks to make the templates asap. Unfortunately, everywhere I looked would take up to a week or so to receive the sinks, everywhere except splash works! They had the sinks I needed and ready for pick up the very next morning! Love this place! Customer service is top notch. After visiting most of the bath showrooms from San Jose to SF, we decided to go with Splashworks for our bathroom remodel. We worked primarily with Tino, who is incredibly professional, knowledgeable, and organized. He answered any and all questions we had, didn't hesitate to research products and call the manufacturers, made great recommendations, thoroughly explained pros/cons of one decision over another. We were in and out of that store constantly for 8 months, and we never felt unwelcome or rushed. Pricing is comparable to all of the other bath places as well. Recently a cartridge of one of our first faucets we bought went kaput and the manufacturer went out of business a while back. We have been doing a remodel over the last eight months, and were originally sent to SplashWorks by our designer to get fixtures for the downstairs. We hooked up with Eric. He was patient and very knowledgeable. We asked a lot of questions and he helped us make good choices. After placing the order, he was very good about emailing us on the status of the order, and called us promptly when it arrived. Later, when we had a few small issues on the order, they were quickly resolved. When we did the upstairs, we were referred to another place by a friend (over our designer's objections) and went there. But while they were helpful, the selection and the layout of the products wasn't near as good and it just didn't work for us. We headed back to SplashWorks, hooked up with Eric again, and after spending time considering all the options, gave them the order. We did do a little checking on pricing, and from what we could see, all their prices were competitive with other sources. On-line prices were a bit better on the items we checked, but not sure how all that would have worked out after shipping. Also, our first order had 20-25 parts on it, the second order had almost twice as many (different manufacturers). We weren't interested in spending hours on the internet getting that all figured out. We felt the service we got in the store was more than worth it. read more

They were helpful and made sure we didn't make the wrong choices. It is the service that separates them from others. read more

Unbelievably horrible service. Strung us along for three weeks telling us that samples were on their way when they weren't, never returned a *single* phone call (we had to keep calling them back), lied to us about the availability of products (them: "We can get the faucet in a week, two tops"...Gessi USA: "That faucet is globally backordered and will take five weeks to ship, minimum"), and refused to order things when we asked them to. It seems like there is actually something wrong with the woman who works there: this is unfortunate for her, but unless you want someone lecturing you on how "crystals" would help improve your bathroom, stay away. Perhaps if you place a big order you get better service? They certainly showed no interest whatsoever in our $8000. Avoid at all costs. One of the worst consumer experiences of my adult life. read more

I have received excellent service from Gene at Splashworks. He helped me find the perfect sink, and when I couldn't find a faucet I loved in the showroom, he dug around online after I left until he found one that fit all my criteria. My sink came in and when I opened it up it was damaged - most likely a manufacturing or shipping error from the look of it. I called Gene and he had a new sink to me within one day, so that I did not have to delay my countertop installation. High class, A+ service! read more

Our designer highly recommended Splashworks and they did not disappoint. Choosing all the pieces for our kitchen and two bathrooms was difficult for us, but Tino is very knowledgeable and he patiently helped us through the whole process. When we couldn't decide between two sinks, he ordered both so we could see them and decide! Even more impressive was their service after the sale. We had problems with a dripping faucet and with an order mistake that was our fault. Tino and Eric went beyond the call of duty to make everything right. Annoying. We bought a sink, faucet, disposal, etc for our kitchen remodel. We were sold 2 items that were completely unnecessary but didn't realize until we got the sink installed. The disposal includes a disposal flange, but our salesman tacked on an extra one for $45! When we asked him he said he sold it to us so there wouldn't be a disposal brand on the rim. (He could have mentioned that ... Not worth $45 to me.) Plus we got a grate for the bottom and a grate shelf, but when they're in together it's impossible to keep the sink clean without using a ton of water or shuffling the grates. We brought them back in and our salesman seemed annoyed. He charged us a restocking fee even though he should have advised us better. A 25 percent restocking fee is excessive. We wanted to go here instead of going to a big box or Amazon because we thought we'd get better service and we want to support local businesses. One woman helped us and she was great, but our salesman just seemed like he was looking for ways to say no to us for the returns and he couldn't or wouldn't answer our questions during the sale. If it weren't for the woman who helped us after the first guy wrote up our order, we probably wouldn't have purchased anything from them. I guess $34 restocking fee is worth the loss of future business. We needed about 60 cabinet pulls, but we went to Cupertino to Belmont Hardware instead. Also, while we were waiting, my partner noticed that they have Toto toilets and we need one, but we're not buying it there. read more

I did a major kitchen remodel and ordered all my kitchen plumbing accessories through Tino from Splashworks and couldn't have been more pleased. Customer service was excellent, everything arrived on time and in good condition. The prices were very competitive. A year after the remodel we did have one problem with a sink we purchased and this is where Splashworks really shined! Tino worked with the manufacturer and my sink was replaced at no charge and they were even able to get me reimbursed for the labor needed to replace it! I highly recommend Splashworks! I had a bad experience with this place. I purchased a vanity on sale and they indicated they would hold it for me. When I went to pick it up the salesperson said they had called me, and they needed at least 24 hours notice before I could pick up the vanity I had purchased. Honestly, I think they did leave a message for me, but they had already called me once that day so I didn't understand why they would want me to give 24 hours notice after I had already told them when I would be picking it up. I thought the message was a mistake. Evidently, the manager needed it to continue to be on display for a show, because he didn't want an empty spot--so "wouldn't I please allow him to keep it longer?" I reluctantly agreed, and I mentioned to the salesperson, perhaps they could offer a bit of a discount, and his reply was that maybe I should consider myself lucky that they didn't charge me for storing it until I needed it. Later, I indicated that I felt this was poor customer service and that it seems that they should really offer an additional discount; after all it was my vanity. I had purchased it, and I was basically allowing them to keep it on display. Never mind the fact that once the transaction was made the vanity should have been promptly removed from public display as the item was no longer on sale. That time the salesperson muttered, "you are already getting it for such a good deal." Later another salesperson, who had left the phone message indicated that she would check with the manager about discounting my purchase. Well, neither the salesperson nor the manager ever got back to me. In summary, I felt bullied by this experience, and I cannot recommend this store to anyone. read more

I've heard great things about what Splash Works carries and was extremely excited to check it out today. Hubby and I raced home from work hoping to make it before the 7pm closing. Monday is the only day they are open past 5pm. We wanted to take a sneak peak and if we liked it, we would make the trip back on Saturday where the hours were more appropriate. We made it here with plenty of time only to discover the doors had been locked prior to 7pm with customers still inside. Why post 7pm on your door if you lock your doors much sooner? I am disappointed in their level of customer service...advertising store hours that are untrue. Your store looks beautiful but I can honestly say, "only from the outside". read more

This is a beautiful, well-appointed showroom in a great, quaint little area. It's street parking, but they also have a private lot. Eric helped me and he was so nice and super knowledgeable. I liked that he and the other sales associates were simply helpful and did not try to push or pressure me. They have a nice variety of fixtures and tubs and such, and next to their main counter is water filtration, which seems to be a focus of theirs. The EWS filtration system I bought works beautifully. I was on a very tight schedule; my tub arrived on time AND was incorrect - the drain was on the wrong side. Luckily we thought to check it when it was delivered. Tino - at about 2:30 on Friday - drove up to Walnut Creek from San Jose to correct it for me. The pricing was fair - I did alot of online price checking. We just completed a bathroom remodel where we purchased our vanity and all fixtures at Splashworks. From the first visit to their showroom, and every follow up one, we found the staff (Tino in particular) to be eager to help. They were knowledgeable about their products, efficient in the ordering process, and always available to answer all our questions. Their showroom had an abundance of samples to see and compare. No recording when you call, real personnel answer the phone. They also gave us a recommendation for a tile contractor. We purchased many items for a kitchen and bathroom remodel, including sinks, medicine cabinet, toilet, all bathroom and kitchen plumbing fixtures, etc. Any problems or questions that arose were dealt with professionally and quickly. Items were replaced when necessary; even when considerable time had elapsed from first shipment and we decided we didn't like the showerhead spray, they replaced it. They matched a price we found at another supplier on some of the items we purchased. All in all, we dealt with Splashworks for about a year, and while we did buy a considerable number of items, I felt their customer service was exemplary. I will definitely buy from them again when I remodel my other bathroom. read more

Having lived in San Jose all my life I have used Splash Works numerous times for various upgrades and total remodel of a former residence. Past experiences were, for the most part, good....HOWEVER, after reading Spencer R's review from 2010 we couldn't agree more today!! They have apparently fallen short in the customer service area. We just had an almost identical experience a week ago. We are in the preparation phase of doing a substantial remodel to our kitchen and bathrooms and need everything from the kitchen sink to fixtures. Having used them in the past and because we want to support local business whenever possible, we decided to visit Splash Works to start the project and choose and order fixtures. When we walked in, no one greeted us or offered to help us. Finally, after approximately 10 minutes, the gentleman behind the counter yelled into the office and asked for someone to come and help us. A few minutes later a younger salesman approached us, but it was obvious that he had been disturbed and gave us the immediate impression that we were bothering him. We explained that we were starting a large project and that we needed to look for all the components that we would need to complete it. We mentioned what style we were interested in and he basically told us that "things are different now". He was surly and became argumentative when we mentioned that our contractor wanted to get dimensions and specs for the sink, etc. Despite the fact that we clearly and politely explained what we needed and why he was obviously not interested in helping us. The whole encounter took less than 10 minutes and when his last comment to us was, "What do you want from me?" we left the store. That will be our last dealings with Splash Works. The following day we went to Belmont Hardware on S. DeAnza and received stellar customer service from Mike. After showing us numerous products and explaining the differences in quality and types, Mike did a complete workup for us and gave us an estimate. Suffice it to say, that we will be using Belmont for our remodel project and recommending them to our friends. Suffice it to say, ALSO, that Splash Works lost several thousand dollars worth of business!! How disappointing that a local business in our lovely Willow Glen has no interest in customer satisfaction. Since it only took one uninterested salesperson to lose our business perhaps it would behoove management to look into emphasizing customer service! read more

We did a big remodel project for the whole house and bought most of the kitchen and bathroom fixtures from Splashworks. We were very lucky to have worked with Tino who provided excellent service. With no prior experience with house remodel, we asked many questions and he was very patient with us. We spent about 3 Saturday afternoons at Splashworks, picking everything from faucets, vanity, toilets, infinity drain to airgap and soap dispenser. Splashworks has a great selection of high end products. Tino was very knowledgable, and offered various options and suggestions to meet our needs. I also communicated with him through phone calls and emails with the orders, and he was always prompt in getting back to me. I'd say our experience with this store was the most positive and smooth during the 3+ months when we spent every Saturday picking stone/tiles, light and plumbing fixtures, carpet, cabinet hardwares, etc. Tino was also very organized, he sorted everything by room when we picked them up. This helped our contractor to know where each item goes since we have 4 bathrooms. Now the house is done. We are extremely happy with how it turns out. To save money, we bought a $200+ faucet and other accessories such as towel ring and such from Home Depot for the half bath. And they simply do not look as good as those from Splashworks!
