Came here with my husband on the night before our Santa Fe vacation last fall, and it truly was the perfect send off. I don't think it's on the menu anymore, but I had The McClure - a bed of super savory smashed potatoes topped with beef tips, fried prosciutto and Dijon cream. Surrounded by some buttery green beans and a balsamic drizzle. All in one bowl and EXTREMELY delicious. Absolutely loved it! If you see it, get it. Hubby had Maggie - a soft shell crab BLT sandwich with garlic citrus mayo and fries. Fries were tasty but not house-made. Not a bad thing! They were still FREAKING FRENCH FRIES, and therefore, delicious! Crab had good flavor; bacon was nice and crispy. He liked all of it very much. The menu does have delightful sounding shareables that I want to get into next time. The Moon Child (Bavarian pretzels and pizza dip), Smack and Cheese (secret recipe, sounds divine), and Tarbet (shrimp and grits). Uggggggh. I die. Just FYI, this is a very small restaurant. Maybe 10 tables plus bar seating. We got lucky and was able to be seated right away, but it was earlier in the evening. We are definitely coming back soon though! read more

Wow! What a splendid surprise this spot was for our family! We were traveling from Branson back to our home in Omaha and decided we'd stop for lunch somewhere in Springfield. My wife did a quick search and found Split Social Kitchen was close by and had great reviews. We figured we'd give it a shot. So glad we did. First off, the service was outstanding. Very friendly staff and they were willing to walk through the menu with us out of towners. We ended up getting the Maggie (softshell Crab BLT), the salmon and risotto dish, and the steak tips with gnocchi dish. Sorry I can't remember the menu names for the last two. Everything was incredible. We cleaned our plates. I'm so happy we stopped in on a whim. I would eat here again in a heartbeat. read more

Y'all! Best kept secret in Springfield. The menu is different, in the most delicious way. Everything we had was full of flavor and uniquely delicious! The staff was SO NICE I feel like we made new friends. This is a small establishment so reservations recommended for larger parties. All the tables are high tops so keep in mind for toddlers (but the Mac & Cheese will make them very happy, and you as well). Visited on a Friday at 5 PM. It was ~50% full. Good food, good service, ice cold draft beer. I went with the princess Presley and added blackened shrimp with dressing on the side. The big grilled artichokes were delicious. I also loved the beer battered French fries with the house made ranch dressing - very yummy! Our server was very attentive and did a great job! The menu had a lot to choose from and I would love to come back and try the fancy friggin tacos with ahi tuna. I have also heard the Sebastian crabby daddy is to die for. Loved this casual downscale spot serving upscale food. It's like a small Steak 'n Shake inside where you watch the chefs prepare the food "in sight"...must be right. The small bar also has some upscale Liquors with a nice selection of bourbon and even a smoke gun. I ordered the Asian salmon which was juicy, delicious and cooked to perfection just the way I requested. Served on a bed of risotto with arugula- the presentation was excellent with pea sprouts on top. My wife had the pasta with spinach, tomato's and chicken and a delicious white wine cheese sauce. Very personable and did a great job explaining the menu items down to how the ingredients complemented each other, and made great recommendations. They use a lot of locally sourced products, which is an added bonus! First, the drink...lots of original cocktails to choose from. I opted for the Eastside Sunrise. Super refreshing. Great drink! We started with the Country Club Cassie. Wow. Love me a wedge salad, but the homemade bleu cheese on this one was the best - creamy with a mild bleu cheese flavor. The Lil Snoozy was next...The salmon was perfectly prepared and had a great flavor. This would be great anytime of the day. Finally, we had the Smack and Cheese with blackened shrimp. Not too rich and perfectly creamy. After Kristen's description of how it is prepared, we had to order it!
