Finally made it to The Flea, a local favorite. Went to watch one of my friends, Cassidy sing. I was really impressed with the bar. There's quite a few games and an awesome back patio! The set up at night is perfect. My friend and i were so impressed. I didn't drink so not sure about prices. Everyone was really nice! Definitely going to start going here more often!

Came in late on a Sunday when we stopped in Springfield for the night, during a long road trip…read more Cozy little place with great vibes and excellent service. The bartender was so friendly and attentive! It's pretty simple, straightforward bar food, but it was hot and exactly what we needed when little else was open. Cold beer, not too noisy, perfect laid-back dive bar. If we lived in town, I'm sure we'd be back! Highly recommended.

It sits off the main drag, the kind of bar you notice only after you've driven past it a dozen times. But step inside, and you'll realize it's one of those rare places that still knows what a bar is supposed to be. The lights are low, the air is easy, and the bar top -- polished smooth from years of elbows and stories -- gleams under the amber bulbs. The bartender greets you like an old friend, even if you've never been here before. He keeps a clean bar, tight and organized, every glass shining like it's got a reputation to uphold. People don't come to KJ Brewskies for the food. Sure, there's something hot and fried if you need it, but this isn't a place for plating or pretense. You come here for the people, the atmosphere, the simple comfort of a cold beer that doesn't cost you half a paycheck. The jukebox doesn't take quarters anymore -- progress, I suppose -- but the music's still good. Old country. Classic rock. Songs that sound better when they're a little too loud. Over in the corner, someone's lining up a pool shot. Darts whistle through the air. Shuffleboard pucks slide and kiss the end of the table with a satisfying clack. What makes this place special, though, is how it shifts with the seasons. When the weather turns warm, they throw open the doors and roll out the crawfish pots. It's all elbows, laughter, and the unmistakable smell of spice and beer in the air. Fall might bring a chili cook-off, winter maybe a small charity drive -- each one another excuse for the regulars and newcomers alike to gather, eat, drink, and remember what community feels like. KJ Brewskies isn't trying to be anything more than what it is. It's a good bar -- honest, lived-in, alive. A place to forget the headlines, to talk about nothing important, to exist for a few hours without explanation. Places like this are getting harder to find. And maybe that's why, when you walk out into the night -- the jukebox still humming behind you -- you already know you'll be back.
