Not only did Kate get back to me RIDICULOUSLY fast (literally about 5 minutes via email), they have a 24/7 texting appointment service. This salon is equipped to handle ANY hair considering MacKenzie was a complete MIRACLE WORKER and made my hair look like hair again (looked and felt so unhealthy it would've been easier to classify it under "Barbie Doll" hair). I went in expecting good results and holy cow did I get AMAZING results! I will recommmend this place to anyone who takes their hair seriously. I've only had amazing experiences here. The first feature that gives them a sold 5 is that I never have to wait for my appointment. They're ready for me as soon as I walk in, and they dont double book clients so I dont have to wait longer to get in and out. The staff are friendly, knowledegable and professional and aren't in a rush. Plus, the hair color line they use doesn't irritate my scalp and doesn't dye my skin. Pricing is appropriate for the area and is based on the skill level of the staff. This was my first time at Spoleti Salon & I will definitely be going back. I recently moved to Austin about 2 months ago, and was in need of a cut and color. Setting up an appointment was a breeze, as Kate got back to me right away and was able to fit me in the very next day. My appointment was with Miranda and she is AWESOME. She was super friendly & personable, and instantly made me feel comfortable in the chair. She listened to what I wanted, looked at my pictures and made she we were on the exact same page before starting anything. She took her time, and was able to match my previous color exactly. She also slayed the long bob I wanted, and really took care in making sure all the lines were even and precise. I have literally never left a salon more happy than I did on Wednesday!! Paige was truly amazing. She took my vision and replicated it exactly. She took the time to chat with me about my hair, listening to what I wanted, and also adding in her suggestions. The color came out AMAZING and the cut is absolutely fabulous as well. All the stylists are amazing! The owner pics out extremely talented people to work here. I did my bridal hair and make up here and everything was flawless. We expected everything to take about 2 hours but it was much less than that! It was literally perfect! Absolutely no complaints. My hair was big but very secure and comfortable. My make up highlighted the right areas and wasn't overly done. I dont wear much make up but I wanted to be glammed up for the big day and I got exactly what I wanted. its so unfortunate that I have to give this place a bad review because my expectations were so high due to all of the amazing reviews. This was my first time getting my full head of hair dyed because I have always had a fear of allowing just anyone to touch my hair and ruining it. If you have curly or ethnic hair, I would 110% recommend going somewhere else. I was very excited to come in here after researching many salons in the Austin area, the owner told me that she had a stylist that specialized in curly hair so I put my trust in her. I come in about a week before my birthday and I ask for a full blonde balayage (I was aware that it would have taken me one or two more sessions to get to the blonde I wanted), I also make sure to tell the hair stylist that I will be straightening my hair for my birthday. The end result was a really low, botchy orange ombré gone wrong, and it was incredibly obvious when I straightened it... so I told the lady's (who btw are so kind and amazing) and the owner was nice enough to allow them to correct it. So I come it a day before my birthday and another stylist corrects it with a toner and baby lights, the end result looked a lot better, but when I went through my hair under the baby lights, it was still botchy. But happy that it didn't look like how it did at first so I wasn't complaining!! Lol but the thing that got me is that a couple weeks later I notice my hair is incredibly damaged, super dry and it's been falling out and breaking very easily, even after a haircut... it also went back to orange, quick! Exactly my worst fear and probably every curly haired girls fear!! Let me say first of all, I was a very dark brown with a red tint before I came in here. I had never been here before so I decided just to book a full balayage without requesting a specific stylist. Turns out, the person I was paired with for my appointment was Slava. I do not have enough good things to say about Slava. My hair has not looked this good in literal years (if ever). Slava truly knows what he is doing and takes his time to perfect his work. He mentioned to me that his English isn't very polished, but I did not have a problem communicating with him. In fact, we talked about much more than just cut and color. He is truly what made my experience at this salon such a pleasurable experience. Although I do not have any photos yet, I encourage you to book a balayage or blonding with Slava. He is perfect and the most sweet stylist I have ever met. I love him! read more

I've been to this salon twice. Each time was a last minute decision to get my hair cut and thankfully they have been able to fit me in. Mackenzie was my stylist during my last visit. I had decided to cut my hair short, which I haven't done since I was a kid. Throughout the whole cut Mackenzie was very informative and gave me tips on how to manage shorter hair and deal with the bad case of dandruff I currently have. I can't say enough how satisfied I am with my current hair cut. My hair feels and looks so much better and my scalp is doing well. I'm pretty upset with my haircut from Spoleti. I don't know if it was just my stylist or if it is normal practice at Spoleti but for one thing, my haircut took 2 hours. I honestly wouldn't even mind, but the experience was painful and I'm not happy with how it looks. I asked for my hair to be thinned. At other salons they seem to use a razor but this stylist used trimming shears and it was painful!! She told me she was doing it in a certain spot, "so it wouldn't show." I don't think a stylist should ever have to hide what they did. She started thinning right at the scalp so now when my hair is in a ponytail (i told her this is how I normally wear my hair) I have a ton of teeny tiny hairs that just stick straight out. It looks like I was electrocuted. :( read more

I made an appointment with Spoleti a few months back after years of doing my bleaching at home - I wanted to be lazy and get the salon experience and just have my hair done without the hastle for once! My virgin roots were grown in a couple inches and I just wanted some hightlights to make it more organic of a grow out from my otherwise allover level 10 blonde. I want to start by saying I am conscious of the fact that bleaching results in damage and breakage - some is to be expected. However, the amount of breakage I left this salon with (I'm talking a big ol' chunk right in the right center of my hairline where my part is) was pretty unprecedented for me. Never in my years of at home bleaching - with no formal training - have I left with so much obvious breakage. Given the low volume of the developer used (I believe a 15, but I could have misheard, and a 6 over any previously bleached areas) I don't actually think it was the processing itself - but rather the roughness with which my stylist went about my hair. The big chunk in the front I believe came from when she at one point decided to kind of muss/fluff my hair while it was covered in dried bleach? I could literally hear the hairs snapping and feeling the tension release on my scalp as they did. I also want to note when we first began I told my stylist my hair was washed nor brushed and she proceeded to rake through it with a brush started in the upper middle of my hair. Again, I could hear the snapping. I'm not here to dox my stylist (who was a junior stylist) but I will say it was a pretty unpleasant (and expensive, I paid $150 for all this) experience and while I understand junior stylists are learning, it is not a good look for the salon, generally, to have such unqualified stylists. Any one with any hair experience should be conscious of gentleness with processed hair. It also generally, took about 4 hours to do about 2 inches of highlights which was mind-blowing to me. I'm sure there are some really talented stylists there, but all in all I would not go back and I wish I had gone somewhere else. I literally have to use edge gel to hide my weird bird like chunk of breakage in the front, center of my face, everyday. 2 stars only because the owner and other stylists were very willing and able to help the junior stylist to correct her many many errors over the duration of my visit. read more

I head over (right next to home - how convenient) and walk in. There's a very professional atmosphere, and its very pretty inside. At least 4 customers already sitting in chairs getting things done - that's a good sign! Greeted by the cutie at the front desk. Everyone was so nice! I honestly was probably the worst type of client, I didn't really have any idea what I wanted (just that I wanted some highlights more or less, mainly a change).Marissa is who I lucked out with - and I lucked out big time. I gave a vague idea of what I wanted and she took it from there. The entire process was lovely and relaxing; very sweet ladies working here and easy to chat with. Never a dull moment. After nearly two hours, we rinse and the result was jaw dropping. She took such good care of me and I've literally never left a salon more happy. Everyone in here looked cheery and happy to be there - and genuinely wanted their clients to look good and not just looking for $$.100% going back, recommending, and really can't stress how fabulous I feel with my new hair!
