Such a treat! Gluten free and movie props - What more could you ask for?!? Spooky's Swirls has a solid selection of treats from cakes, cookies, cheesecake to cotton candy and brownies. All the sweets are shockingly good considering they are also gluten free. Plus, Spooky's is one of the only places in the valley that serves Death Wish Coffee. An ingredient in their brownies which are my favorite treat at the shop. Not only can you find great sweets and coffee at Spooky's Swirls but you'll also find a solid section of props horror and sci-fi films! You can see Slimer from Ghostbusters, that creepy doll, Billy, use by Jigsaw from the Saw films, Spider-Man costumes, Hiro's sword from the tv show Heroes, and so much more! They also host fan events with scream queens and horror favorite. Like meet & greets with Paul T Taylor who plays Pinhead in Hellraiser, Jackson Robert Scott who was Georgie in IT, and Tamara Glynn who was Samantha in Halloween 5 to name a few. My favorite gluten free bakery on the planet! I love their cake doughnuts, and cinnamon rolls.

Delicious options for our celiac family. We've gotten multiple custom birthday cakes, holiday themed treats, and their daily options, and have never been disappointed. Staff is extremely knowledgeable about ingredients (so if you're GF AND allergic to buckwheat like I am, they have you covered). It's worth the drive to come here when looking for special occasion dessert options. read more

We love walking to Spooky's Swirls over the weekend! Such a fun, unique place to grab such amazing cinnamon rolls! The girls are always so sweet and kind when you walk in. Haven't stayed long enough to fully enjoy the shop but it has a lot of cool movie props inside to enjoy. read more

Really wanted to love this but was really disappointed. The "museum" is poor at best, there's paint chipping off walls. They basically threw in a food counter, make store bought Deathwish coffee and spent money at auctions buying a very limited amount of subpar movie props. The poptart I had was stale as well. This place is amazing! Nick was great with information. I finally found a place that has delicious gluten fee baked goods. The German Chocolate cupcake is so yummy! Cranberry/Orange muffins are soooo good. Plus the place is decorated with the most wonderful horror movie and tv show memorabilia! Really cool items they have! Our second time back and got the German Chocolate cupcake again. Delicious. Tried the eclair. Yumminess! This is THE go to spot for gluten free baked goods. read more

Spooky's Swirls is such an original, top-notch bakery! The cupcakes are delish--especially the strawberry Suspiria one--and the museum is so cool! They have real props some some of my fave movies including Willy Wonka chocolate bars, Beetlejuice props and clothes, and so much more. Everyone working was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. They were patient with my excited kids and made excellent recommendations. I liked this place so much I had to buy one of their commemorative t-shirts. *Cue the creepy scary monster music* Spooky Swirls has seriously blown me away with their baked goods. We aren't a gluten-free family by any means, so going into a gluten-free bakery scared the living daylights out of me. How on earth can they make a good tasting cake/cupcake that's completely GF? Let me back up a bit. Here I was sitting at my neighbors house for her sons birthday party. He's got Celiac's and is allergic to everything under the sun. I stepped away for a sec while the birthday chant was sang. Missed out on the song, the candle blowing and the cake cutting completely. So I'm sitting there and they bring a piece of cake over to me. Super cute! Looked like it was made to look like Minecraft. Holy smokes it was delicious!! So I took a bite. Another bite and another. Next thing I know, my plate is completely empty. As tacky as it may be, I asked for another piece from the host who informed me it was a "Spooky Swirls" cake. "Oh, the new GF bakery down the street?" I asked. Yes!! How could a simple chocolate swirl cake with buttercream frosting taste SO good? It literally melted in my mouth, and I'm fairly certain my eyes rolled back into my head with utter delight. The following weekend I'm at their counter ordering everything in their display. I can't even recall what I ordered.....something with a ghost, something with blood, a bat, baby yoda, a Jason cupcake......you name it. ALL were delicious. Realized they had a museum there full of movie props. Hundreds of them all from the owners of the place who are HUGE movie prop freaks!! Loved it. My 6-year old was a bit terrified, but gosh they had a movie prop from the "Labyrinth" which made me so happy. I've been back another time. Cupcake flavors and themes are rotated out as are their movie props. Fun and delicious place to visit. And a very tempting place to make me go GF. Great job!! read more

This place is cool the girl and guy behind the counter were very nice. I love the horror theme not too many places like this in Arizona but I have to be realistic I bought a brownie and cupcake that's it and it came out to $19. I got the ghost face cupcake and it was very dry the frosting wasn't great the only good thing was the chocolate ghost face my son got the mint brownie he said it was delicious very moist. Awesome GF bakery! My wife has Celiac, and I contacted Spooky's Swirls to make a custom cake for her 40th. The owner was super responsive, timely and, most importantly, the cake tasted AMAZING!!!! We could not wait to try spooky swirls. We are on that side of town today and we made it in 2 minutes before they closed. They have quite a few delicious looking gluten-free treats to choose from. A lot of the cupcakes are intricate and a lot of work have went into them. So they price them accordingly. Like the wolf cupcake was eight dollars. But tasted delicious and really looked amazing. One of our family members is gluten-free and loves Ghostbusters. I've tried to Order the stay puft Marshmallow cupcakes that I seen on their website. The first time I tried to order they were not excepting orders until after their grand opening. The second time I try to order two days in Advance and they Are on able to accommodate two day notice. They need 5 to 7 days or more they said for such a complicated cupcakes. So just beware if you're going to order complicated cupcakes give a lot of time. I love theme parties and cannot wait to have one featuring some of their cupcakes. Because, they really are centerpieces and conversation starters. And for being gluten-free they tasted pretty good. I'm an avid gluten free baker at home, but spooky swirls tops all of my recipes. I can't recommend this place enough for not only gluten free individuals but anyone. My whole family loves this bakery. This visit we got the red velvet strawberry cupcakes they were the best cupcakes I've ever had. Always take the time to read the 1 star reviews. Those are real, and not paid for by the business owner. We ordered a lot for my daughter's wedding, and compensated them well.. ahead in advance. The day before her wedding we were told her actual wedding cake, they were no longer going to make. We'd need to find another bakery that could make her a 5 tier cake in 24 hours and call back a week later to get a refund for that large portion of the order (the actual wedding cake) that was already paid for, plus gratuity in advance. I'm here to tell you all. A week later and business days leading up until then, several of us tried calling but they were dodging our calls or hung up once they knew we were calling about a refund. Had to get my brother on the police force involved to get it taken care of. Go with a different bakery. read more

What a fun and creative business to find it's home in my own backyard! Sticky buns are a MUST if you stop in. Our boys loved the fact that they sell cotton candy here too! If you love scary movies and want to see some really off the wall props AND eat some sweets this is your spot! We purchased two cupcakes, a slice of cheesecake and a peanut butter concoction. The cupcakes were of course decorated so awesome but really lacked flavor. My daughter even admitted my homemade cupcakes have better flavor (maybe a side effect of the gluten free nature?). Going to give this unique and fun place a 4 out of 5 stars. The deathwish coffee was INTENSE and the baked goods were ok. We got a few to choose from just Incase. The mini cheesecake mice were wonderful! He peanut butter minis were delicious and the carbonite chocolate one was the only iffy one. Dry cake but creamy and mouthwatering taste. Had a kicking time for the Grand Opening with the ghost busters and other amazing characters. Yes this is a gluten free bakery but you'd never know by how delicious their cupcakes are! I'm personally not gluten free, but I definitely will be back for their baked goods. I had the vampire bite cupcake which is vanilla cake and butter cream with a raspberry bite and it was delicious. Price is on par with other bakeries. They also sell some cool coffee but I've yet to try it The best part though is that this place is a horror fan's dream. This was my sons and my first time here. The bakers are so kind and welcoming! So many cool and interesting things to look at also. They were playing a movie when we walked in and changed it to Scooby-Doo when they saw my son. The cupcakes are so cute and creative. They have a good selection of things to try. The offer gluten free cupcakes as well. We tried the dark side chocolate cupcake, vampy vanilla, dirty snowman, a banana muffin, and the blue raspberry cotton candy.
