Owners Shaoxiu Lin, Bilin Gao and Jinwen Li opened Spoon and Fork in 2019 in the former Tabatha's and former Ricky's on West Genesee Street in Auburn. My wife and I both love Asian food, and my wife had randomly stopped in for lunch one day when in the area and had raved about the place to me. We had plans in Auburn one night that fell through, and were only a few minutes away, so we decided to go grab dinner. Tiny parking lot with only 4 spots, but plenty of on street parking. It was a Friday night and we were sat immediately and brought menus. Tons to choose from. We ordered crab rangoon, pan fried dumplings, and spring rolls for appetizers. My wife went with the sushi dinner for her main entree and I chose the Massamon curry with chicken dish. We were given complimentary edamame and a complimentary desert after as well. Everything was delicious. My wife has a very specific style of crab rangoon she prefers, and I have a very specific style of dumplings I prefer, and Spoon & Fork is the first place we've found that satisfies both of our preferences. My curry was great, although much milder than I expected, and my wife said her sushi was fresh and delicious. I had also ordered lo mein to bring for lunch the next day, but we were given so much food that it wasn't necessary, but was also delicious. What we ordered probably fed both of us for about 3 days. Employees were extremely friendly and checked on us several times. Pricing was comparable to other similar restaurants. We'll definitely be going back.

Every single time I go here (which is alot), the food is amazing. The service is super friendly, and the place is clean. The portions are huge, the ginger dressing on the salads is my favorite thing ever! I want a whole bottle of that stuff. Haha

Biggest bento box ever! Got the salmon dinner bento box with fried rice and everything was delicious!!! We also grabbed the crab Rangoon and summer roll appetizers. They were 10 out of 10 best crab rangoons we've had! Definitely recommend this place!

Absolutely delicious. They have a convenient pickup window for to go orders, prepared quickly after your order. Priced fantastically. Will definitely be back!!

The building looks tiny from the road but is actually quite spacious inside. We were brought to a room with a divider in it as another party was there, it gave us and them the privacy for our meals. The staff was all so friendly welcoming us, our waitress was very pleasant. The food was really great, we didn't dislike anything. The spicy basil chicken has jalapeños in it, so it's a slightly different flavor than you would get traditionally, but it's still really great. Crab Rangoon were nice and crisp, decent flavor. And I thought pricing was reasonable.

We ordered the karrage, crispy rice w/ spicy tuna, wagyu maki, yubi, HanHan, and the miso cod roll. Everything was fantastic. The karrage is a must get and we will order it again the next time we go. It's crispy and rather light for being fried. The same goes for the Crispy Rice w/ spicy tuna. These are two great appetizers. As for the rolls, everything was great. The fish tasted fresh and flavorful. I have nothing but good things to say about any of the rolls that we ordered. I can't wait to go back for their omekase experience. Overall, very happy with today's lunch. I would recommend it, especially if in Skan. It's away from the main road and has its own parking (big plus). The interior, while small, it's pretty nice. I would definitely want a seat at the sushi bar when I return. Again, great experience and I'd recommend visiting.

We came with a group of 8, we were sat with a table of 5, spanning 2 hibachi grills (they seat 8 each grill) because apparently they were running behind and seemed to be short staffed. The person taking our orders was SO short with us, like zero pleasantries, drill Sargent taking orders that we didn't have a second to ask for gyoza for an appetizer, and our friend who wanted to order sake bombs was denied as well. So odd because we were the last table they took for the night (7p reservation) so there was no rush behind us. Food was fine, I think the portions decreased some over time but whatever. The bill came, they tacked on a 20% bill, I'm going to assume because we were a party of 8, but then the receipt also recommended an additional 20% tip which our friend fell for and they never leveled this. Finally as we're finishing our last bites, they came to clean the grill with lemon juice resulting in this burnt-smelling lemon juice...it was putrid and just a slap in gee face following that whole experience.

Our entrees were exactly as described (Bluewater burger and Crab Cake sandwich), arrived just as we finished salads, and very good. The prices were totally reasonable. The service was mediocre at best. The waitress only came back to ask us how our meal was, just as we were finishing the Tuna. We are avid dinners at the Sherwood Inn and was disappointed with the BWG considering they are under the same ownership umbrella. As far as the ambiance of the grill it is boring and it felt like it needed updating.

It's small but when I go I can always find a table. We like the hot tea, the milk tea, and the miso soup is very good. And the takeout is great too. The only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is because in the last year or so I've noticed some popular rolls and dishes like chirashi and California rolls have been prepared ahead of time. They're very cold, right out of the fridge, like sushi from Wegmans. I'm sure they were made that day, and I get they're trying to save some time, especially for the labor-intensive chirashi, but you can't taste it as well when it's cold like that. So I recommend sticking with some of the special rolls. We had a couple of the new ones today after they revamped their menu and they were very good.

I feel there is a heavy influence of Japanese as is so little would need improving. The service is kind and attentive and adds a comforting relaxed tone to the place.
