The financing process took a little longer than I expected, but everything was explained clearly in the end. Overall, I'm happy with the vehicle and would shop here again.

If you're looking to get scammed and have your time wasted, this is the dealership for you…read more We contacted Car Lux Inc. after finding a vehicle we were interested in. We told our salesperson, Maximus, that we had the money ready and would be driving down from Northern California within about a week to purchase it. Instead of simply holding the car, he immediately used pressure tactics, claiming it would likely sell unless we put down a **$500 refundable deposit**. Once we paid the deposit, the dealership marked the vehicle as sold and removed the listing, CarFax, and all of the vehicle information from their website. When we later asked for the CarFax again, Maximus suddenly became "too busy" to respond, despite previously replying almost instantly. Before making the trip, we specifically asked if there would be any issues paying with a cashier's check on July 4th since banks would be closed. Maximus told us to send him a photo of the check several days in advance so he could have it verified beforehand. We did exactly that, and he confirmed everything was good to go. After driving several hours to the dealership, everything fell apart. First, the vehicle was nothing like it had been represented. We were told it had new tires, yet the front tires had a 2012 manufacture date. The car was filthy, covered in scratches and paint chips, had faded paint, broken buttons, rattling mirrors, suspension issues, exhaust problems, and cheap aftermarket parts. Based on its condition, it likely needed close to **$10,000** in repairs. After spending hours test driving the car and completing paperwork, we were suddenly told our cashier's check had **never been verified**, despite Maximus previously confirming that it had been. The only option they offered was financing, which conveniently came with numerous undisclosed fees. Maximus repeatedly insisted he had verified the check until the finance manager called him out in front of us for lying and told us he would be **firing Maximus because this wasn't the first time he had made this kind of mistake**. Whether that was genuine or just for show, it was incredibly unprofessional. Read every line of the paperwork. The contracts included several undisclosed fees and add-ons, including a vehicle tracker we never requested. We believe many of these practices are deceptive, and **we will be filing complaints with both the FTC and the Better Business Bureau (BBB).** To make matters worse, getting our refundable deposit back became another ordeal. After we decided not to purchase the vehicle, they repeatedly stalled and told us to leave, promising they would send the refund later. We refused to leave without our money and informed them that we would involve the police if necessary. The moment law enforcement was mentioned, our $500 refund was processed within minutes. This was, without question, one of the worst dealership experiences we've ever had. Between the misleading description of the vehicle, high-pressure sales tactics, contradictory information, questionable contract practices, and the difficulty getting our own money back, I cannot recommend Car Lux Inc. to anyone. Save yourself the time, money, and frustration, and buy your car somewhere else.

I really do thank him because he took the time to explain the difference between purchasing and leasing a vehicle. This is something that no one else has ever done. He went beyond just trying to sell me a vehicle and moved into the area of finances. This is very important to me. His manager Carlos Lopez further explained leasing and the advantages of it - considering my situation. He worked with me on the contract, making it so I had the coverage I wanted, with a monthly payment I could manage. Both Deje and Carlos answered all my questions thoroughly and patiently. They were kind, courteous, professional, attentive and created a no rush, no pressure atmosphere. I want Honda to know that they are both excellent representatives of your corporation. It's because of them and the rest of the excellent service team, led by Lyle Ota (I have to acknowledge Lyle), that I will continue to be a Honda customer.

EDIT: Spoke with Brian the GM and he did apologize for the experience. He was extremely friendly but unfortunately what is done is done. If we are in the market again for a car, I will try to contact Brian to give their dealer another chance. Will increase to 2 stars from 1 as he was very open to criticism and understood why we were upset with the whole situation.

I had an extremely disappointing experience at this Chevrolet dealership in Culver City…read more I spent nearly three hours of my morning driving there, discussing the vehicle, and trying to work out a deal--only to discover after I left that the truck reportedly had a lemon/branded-title history. That information should have been disclosed upfront, before I invested my time and seriously considered purchasing the vehicle. The salesperson I worked with was friendly and helpful, but the sales manager completely torpedoed the deal. I brought in my F-150 as a trade-in and had already received another offer close to $40,000. Instead of working with me, the sales manager told me to sell my truck to another dealership and then come back. When I asked about negotiating the nearly $70,000 truck they were selling, he said, "We're like CarMax--the price is the price." His tone was rude, dismissive, and unapologetic. He made no effort to explain the dealership's position, build trust, or make me feel comfortable with such a major purchase. He simply stated his terms and acted as though I could leave if I did not like them. I ultimately shook his hand and walked out. A dealership selling vehicles in this price range should demonstrate professionalism, transparency, and basic customer service. Unfortunately, that was not my experience here. I wish I had checked the dealership's reviews before wasting my morning. I will not be returning.

I was directed to a desk where a sales woman named Chi came to greet me. Chi was completely professional and I was instantly relieved by her professionalism after my walk in experience. Chi steps away and brings a print out with the cost of the car, "add-ons", "fees", taxes, etc. I expect a dealership to offer me add-ons so I was prepared for that. I was NOT expecting the add-on's not to be listed with more than a cost of an additional $7000, plus $895 for another fee. Nothing was line itemed and the cost provided to me was more than $47,000 for a car I was expecting to pay $35,000 plus taxes and registration fees. At $47,000 I could purchase brand new Tesla Model Y *Look at Tesla's official website*. Under current California consumer protection principles and regulations like the Consumer Legal Remedies Act (CLRA), dealers must disclose that these products are optional. They cannot be presented as mandatory requirements to complete the purchase or secure financing. I declined and she needed speak with a manager. A guy comes out, does not introduce himself, does not sit, does not shake my hand, explains the "add-ons" without explaining what they are. I say "I do not want any add-ons. Just the car.", he talks again and I can see he's getting annoyed. I say "Are you saying that I cannot buy this Tesla without these add on's?" and he says "Yes!". I stand up, shake Chi's hand and thank her for her professionalism and say "Well this is not the dealership for me.", he says "Great!!" walks away and then I walk out. No "Junk" Fees: Charging for "valueless" add-ons--such as oil change packages for electric vehicles--is a prohibited practice. Bait-and-Switch Prohibitions: If a dealership advertises a vehicle at a specific price, they cannot later force you to pay for "mandatory" add-ons that were not disclosed in the original advertised price. This is considered deceptive advertising. Explicit Disclosure: Dealers are required to provide a written document (often under California Civil Code §2982) that itemizes the price of any products or services you are purchasing. You must give your clear consent for these items. I was a guaranteed sale. I walked in with $20,000 down payment and a $40,000 check from my credit union. I left angry but thankful for (1) I was only there for 20 minutes and (2) Chi's professionalism. I purchased a used Tesla the next morning from Tesla Norwalk (Wonderful experience!). DO NOT GO TO LA CITY.
