The restaurant has options to eat outside which is great for beautiful weather. I enjoyed their chicken and waffles. They have good amount options to choose from. If you love bottomless mimosas they have them. I shared a slice of key lime which was good. They also serve lunch and dinner here. Prices were reasonable. The waitstaff were really great. The atmosphere was very welcoming and comfortable. They were watching the World Cup which was cool. There's plenty of parking in the shopping center. My other favorite neighborhood go-to. The specialty may be their bourbon assortment but their cocktail offerings are many and varied. I pass this restaurant daily and decided to stop in once I found out hey had a brunch menu. It is a very nice space and nice atmosphere for a quick bite to eat. Ryan was my server. He was great and able to get me in and out in less than an hour. I ordered the biscuit basket with veggie scramble and home fries.....SOOOOO GOOD! The jelly served with biscuits was amazing. I love how they cooked the potatoes with onions and peppers (reminds me of my mom's potatoes. I plan to come back soon to try others things on the menu! I've been here twice and will definitely be returning here! On Wednesdays, they have $5 select whiskey pours, and our bartender was very knowledgeable and helped us pick some really good ones. For dinner, our waitress was very friendly and easy to talk to. She answered all of our questions and gave us good suggestions. The food is well made and locally sourced, yum! The collard green queso was great without being too heavy. Definitely try the heirloom tomato and watermelon salad if it's still on the menu. Even the house salad was tasty and perfecr portion size. The restaurant is in a small strip mall and there is a little garden next to it, which is the cutest thing! I am definitely going to be sitting on the patio once the weather cools off. read more

I ordered shrimp and grits to go. It was packaged perfectly and when I set it up and tasted it, I was in heaven. I am only on Decatur for a week but I will be ordering this again while I'm here. When I called to order the shrimp and grits, their menu had changed and they were offering catfish and grits. We went for my birthday and ate on the patio. They did a great job with Covid by cleaning, wearing masks, and using paper menus. I can't have gluten and dairy but have been dying to have fried chicken. They do typically dip in buttermilk but said they'd be happy to make it without that and change out the sides. Since I couldn't have gravy I got the bacon jam and it was great. The seasonal sangria tasted like fall in a cup. My friends and husband got burgers and pork tenderloin. Great community hangout. Last time I was there, I asked the server how to order to minimize sugar and carbs (diabetic). She made good suggestions. When everything arrived it was perfect. During the pandemic shutdown, the restaurant owner took extra steps to set up takeout service and stock supplies (sanitizer and TP) that were in short supply. I believe they even installed an air filtration system. That means a lot, and the neighborhood is very loyal to them. read more

This was an absolutely fabulous meal with a friend. She lives in the area and suggested going here for dinner. The inside of the restaurant definitely exudes a neighborhood restaurant with a bar for the locals. Upon being seated our server greeted us and explained the menu. She also showed us the wine menu and I noticed their selection on wine was well laid out and expansive. My friend said their fried grit fries are the bomb so we had to order them. The appetizer arrived very soon after we ordered it and it was delicious. We could not stop eating them, that good! For dinner I ordered the tuna nachos and that was slightly underwhelming. Although the tuna was fresh, I wasn't impressed with the chips, they may have been stale or the tuna and sauce had been sitting on the chip for far too long before ordering. I can't conclude the reason but it wasn't good. For dessert we ordered cookie to share and that was a great finish to dinner. The cookie was freshly baked and it was perfectly warm, the only way to enjoy a cookie! I can't wait to come back to Sprig and try something off of their main dinner or brunch menu. Lovely facility. The atmosphere is relaxing. The service was wonderful. The calamari was amazing (that's a must when I go back) I had the ribs but they weren't seasoned so it was a waste of money. I came to Sprig Restaurant with relatively high expectations, especially because it seems to be associated with 1910 Public House in Lilburn (one of my faves). However, I found that my experience here was simply OK. Parking was fairly easy as there is a pretty large lot with so many other businesses in the area. The staff was relatively friendly and we were seated pretty quickly upon our arrival. The drinks and appetizers were fantastic. We started off with Brussel sprouts and shrimp beignets, both of which were fantastic. I love that the menu continuously changes to allow for seasonal and fresher ingredients. They have a large variety of bourbons, but I chose to go with a citrusy gin beverage as recommended by our server, which was refreshing on a warm evening. When our entrees arrived, we were excited but quickly disappointed. I ordered the Classic Sprig Burger with cheese and honestly the patty was relatively unseasoned and a bit overcooked, but still somewhat palatable. We ordered the seasonal fruit cobbler (a mixed berry cobbler in this case) for dessert, which I was hopeful for being at a Southern restaurant. However, the cobbler tasted more like a slice of cake than cobbler. Overall, my experience here left much to be desired and I do not know that I would necessarily come back in the future. read more

Wow! I have nothing but great reviews on this restaurant. I decided to come to this restaurant with my boyfriend after seeing they have the largest whiskey selection in Georgia. Our waiter Keon welcomed us and really walked us through the menu. The manager Heather was able to recommend what is now my boyfriend's new favorite whiskey. Our food was delicious. Please do yourself a favor and try the bacon jam fried oysters. The combination of flavors and textures is something I'm craving now as I type this review. The fried green tomatoes were delicious too! Just perfectly fried. I selected the World Famous Sprig Burger which was delicious. My boyfriend selected the Baby Back Ribs. They were good, but he did mention they could be more tender. We also had the pecan pie tart which my Boyfriend and I shared.We are definitely gonna go back here. First time coming here and the experience was mediocre at best, upon entering the hostess was on her phone and until she was done speaking with whoever decided to sit us. The food was not that good. The picture looks better than the food. Salmon was not seasoned and the pasta was okay. Service: Our waitress was knowledgeable and kind and she even put our drink orders in early to prevent the wait. Good people! Food: The star of the dish was the French toast. Perfectly battered and cooked with a slight char on the bread. It was topped with fresh berry compote and it barely needed syrup. This is the money dish. Next we're the shrimp and grits - cheesy and tomato based. I've had better, but tasty nonetheless. The final dish was the crab omelette. This one I would pass on. Plenty of crab but not much flavor. Double date night spot. Loved how small and intimate the restaurant was. We arrived about 6:45pm and the place was basically empty- maybe three other tables had guests. The menu has a good variety of things to pick from. Overall the experience was good and we will visit again, but there were a few things that didn't make the experience exceptional- the food was not served hot. It was basically room temp from our appetizer to main course. Three entrees came out and we had to wait a good 5-7minutes for my dish (BBQ Tacos) Our server seemed a bit frazzled- it wasn't a busy night so perhaps it was her first night? The handcrafted cocktails were good- the belle of the ball is quiet tasty. Will visit again and see if the kinks have been fixed before marking it off the list. read more

Everything about this restaurant was great: the food, the service and the space. I split a number of small plates with a friend and we enjoyed them all. The fried green tomatoes are the stand out. I think they're probably the best I've had. We also had fries, pimiento cheese (bacon jam on the side for this vegetarian) and the flash fried Brussels sprouts. Really enjoyed the Brussels sprouts. Service was stellar. GF bread available on request and the menu has GF items clearly marked. The server was knowledgeable about food allergies. Visited again for our anniversary and the food was equally stellar. Unfortunately when we were seated, we were seated next to a couple who had given their small child (metal) utensils. They were quite happily banging on their dish (without pause) with the utensils. I know that Sprig is a neighborhood restaurant, but the restaurant manager should have politely asked them to remove the utensils. If they're committed to welcoming very young diners, having a few reusable plastic utensil sets would be a good investment. We asked for a table a little farther away, but it's a *small* restaurant. A modern but cozy ambience with a nice patio. Didn't order dinner so can't speak for the food. Stopped in on a Saturday night, 9pm, for dessert and a quiet moment with a friend. The patio was full but a table opened up within 15 minutes. We ordered the carrot cake and some teas. Carrot cake was very good. Smooth, perfect frosting, and yummy. I maybe would have added a bit more spice or chunkier nuts, but this cake was clearly baked from scratch with love and definitely a solid performance! Fellow Patrons will either make or break the patio experience, depending on what you're seeking! We were so glad when a large, rowdy, probably drinking, party headed out, but perhaps that is the scene you seek! Either way, it is a lovely patio and a perfect place for a summer evening. Only one tiny issue... an issue I'm sure for all Atlanta outdoor patios: how to make sure our Southern insect friends (particularly of the roach variety) don't visit patio-goers. Perhaps time to bring the pest man to spray the perimeter? They were not near the food or the indoor area, only on the low exterior wall and planters. It's common knowledge among "industry" people (restaurant workers) not to come in to an establishment 25 minutes before closing. My boyfriend and I had just gotten off work and we were so hungry. Not wanting to be that type of customer, we decided we'd "feel them out" upon arrival. If they were closing up, we'd just go elsewhere. Jason could not have been more welcoming! He said, 'Sure, come on in!' I don't know who the higher-ups are at Sprig, but Jason has an attitude you'd only expect from someone who owned the place--so, so rare in restaurants nowadays. I was "this close" to telling him to apply where I work, so I could work with someone who took his job that seriously. We sat at the bar and had such a delicious meal. My boyfriend had the Trout. I ate the Salmon--both cooked to perfection. Sprig also has the BEST Caesar salad in town. And it's the only place I know that makes a Jalapeño Margarita. Everything was the same quality as if we'd come in at the "regular" dining hour. If you haven't tried Sprig, you should. I've never had a bad meal or bad service. This place just gets it. read more

I've been to sprig twice. The first time I went for lunch and really enjoyed it. The grit fries and tomato gravy are sooooo good. I ordered those again the second time I went. I had an oyster po boy the first time and it was OK at best. It was not on the menu I went the second time. The pimento bacon jam burger is delicious and I would order it again. It competes with the burger at Kitchen Six. The server I had the first time was nice but the second server I had recently seemed short and a bit loaded with tables. I haven't had their drinks but their bourbon collection looks very nice. Sprig is tucked away in a little strip mall off of Lavista and there is another restaurant in the same strip but it still was crowded both times I went. It is better than the other restaurant on the same strip. I'd definitely come back for the burger. read more

Sprig's has Sprung! I really enjoy finding new places to dine & Sprig's is a pleasant find. It's location may throw you off because it's located at the end of a small, unassuming plaza on LaVista Road near residential areas. It's very easy to miss if you have never been here before but I can't say that is a bad thing because it is quite quaint & inviting. When you enter, you are greeted by rustic but modern decor with exposed pipes & wood paneling. The cream & blue floral curtains are a perfect accent to the burnt orange accent walls. And the chandelier made of bottles adds a very eclectic touch. It's quite swanky if you ask me. The hostess was super friendly but our server, Steven, was a true gem. He was cool & down to earth & was extremely knowledgeable about the menu. He was able to give us some really great suggestions based on our tastes & we weren't disappointed. He checked on us often & was really engaging! Ask to be seated in his section, if he's on the clock! This was a Saturday outing so naturally we were there for Brunch. We started off with drinks & appetizers & I ordered the Honeysuckle Peppercorn Margarita, which was really refreshing. It wasn't too sweet or too strong & the blend of flavors was like a perfect storm in my mouth. The peppercorn adds a little kick, which separates this drink from any other old margarita. The others ordered bottomless Mimosas & for only $12 I say that's a steal. The Brussels & Calamari are both recommended. The Brussels are fried but really light & crispy. They aren't greasy & the feta cheese adds to the flavor. The Calamari is good & crispy & the sweet chili sauce gives it a kick of Asian flavor. The Chicken & Waffle is good but the gravy doesn't go well with this dish. I would also make a change to the syrup. It's too thin & doesn't infuse into the waffle. A good thick, maple syrup would really add more flavor & give it that down home taste! All in all, this restaurant is a hidden gem & I will definitely return!!! read more

Fantastic restaurant. So unusually good, I am reviewing it again... I have never had a bad mean nor anything but a 5-star experience here. The staff is notably excellent. They know the menu, they clearly care about your experience ... I've had several servers and they are all fantastic. I ate dinner here 3 days in a row last week because the food and service was so good AND because I didn't have to drive and they have a VAST selection of Bourbon. I have not really sampled their Southern Food menu items because I am a boring crank who's addicted to red meat... Every item I have had has been pitch perfect. I asked for a weird sub just to see if they'd do it... the chef came out to my table to ask exactly what I wanted. Come on ... that's not a staff that's off their game ... that's a staff who truly cares about the customer sitting in their restaurant. Highly recommended. read more

I think we've been to Sprig three times now. Here's what we love: a diverse and tasty menu, an awesome bourbon bar, and super family friendly. With a toddler, we want a place that is classy and has good food but is welcoming to kids. It's clear when you see families with children and lots of Ikea highchairs. Our daughter loves the homemade potato chips with trout dip. And their ahi tuna nachos are yum. I'm a big fan of many of their cocktails. Service is good and friendly. We're soon moving to a new house which is right down the street from Sprig. That's a huge plus for us! read more

I can't give it five stars as the table which was the managers family kept walking around without masks on which made me feel pretty uneasy. It was about 10 of us and they sat us in the booth. Brittany was our server and she was very attentive and helpful even with all our shenanigans. Everyone had a good time and enjoyed their food. Our table ordered sprig breakfast, chicken and waffles, omelets, and salad. I ordered the sprig breakfast with eggs, bacon, grits, and biscuit. I wish it had more than 2 pieces of bacon but overall everything was delicious. Im always skeptical of grits because not everyone can get them creamy with a good consistency but these checked both those boxes. I also had the bottomless mimosas. When you order they bring you one glass at a time, which isn't my favorite but they were efficient so I didn't mind. The balance of OG and champagne were to my liking. read more

We walked in six minutes prior to closing to get a quick drink and we were told we couldn't be served. No apologies, no explanation, the bartender just refused to take our order so we left. Most restaurants put up a closed sign or lock the door if they're not serving, but that wasn't the case here. With a restaurant that is very empty, he could've at least been polite.
