One of my fav BBQ spots, LOVE Spring Creek. The lean brisket is my fav, they cut it right in front of you and meat is just so tender, juicy, and the bark is fire. BBQ sauce is sweet in the good way, as is the Sweet Tea. The fresh rolls they bake and pass around are actually insane like some of the best bread ever. Mac & Cheese is good but the Baked Potato is even better: massive, loaded with toppings, I get butter, cheese, and sour cream ALWAYS. Last but not least if you come in on Sundays they might go around offering free scoops of Bluebell Homemade Vanilla and the scoops are MASSIVE. I visited for the first time on July 6 and ordered the rib plate, the brisket and sausage plate, and a side of fries, spending over $50. Unfortunately, the food really missed the mark. The spare ribs were completely overcooked, dry, and entirely inedible. The sausage was also quite dry. While the brisket was moist, the portion was incredibly small for the price--only 3 or 4 small pieces. To top it off, the beans were still hard and undercooked. As a first-time customer, I mentioned to the man working (who turned out to be the manager) that it was my first visit. He seemed like he didn't want to be there at all--no smile, no welcoming attitude, and he didn't bother to explain their point system. On a positive note, the lady who handed me my food was wonderful. She was friendly and took the time to explain the rewards system, which actually made me feel a bit better about the high bill. It costs a lot to eat out these days. I don't expect anyone to kiss my butt, but basic customer courtesy and edible food should be the bare minimum. Sadly, I won't be back. read more

Delicious smoked meats that melt in your mouth served cafeteria style. Highly recommend. The brisket was the perfectly smoked and fork tender. The beef is sliced to order if you want lean or marbled. Very friendly staff. Tender brisket, very small sandwiches for the price. Very massed produced tasting brisket with very little flavor. I usually don't put barbecue sauce on my sandwich because I like the flavor of brisket, but I had to put it on these sandwiches to have some flavor. The "slow smoke" tasted more like chemicals than actual slow smokers, but overall it's just pretty disappointing in a non-descript way. Edible and will do in a pinch, but still. The fried okra is also dry as heck. Peach cobbler is like, okay. Serviceable. Still somehow the best dish here just by virtue of it being actually sweet. First time here but had to try TX BBQ and it was highly recommended. On my meal plan I couldn't try most of the meats there so I settled on chicken. I know. Boring, right? Except it wasn't! My smoked 1/4 chicken was so flavorful and juicy. Quite possibly the best smoked chicken I've EVER had. This was a very happy surprise. The sides could use some help. The green beans were okay but they look sorry and soggy. The cole slaw was cool. They give you a roll with your food but... hold out for the fresh, hot rolls they walk around with and bring to your table. I mean- Damn!! My taste buds felt cozy and oh so happy. Last night while placing a to go order I watched a guy walk out of the kitchen, run his hands through his hair, and then proceed to help another customer with his order by opening his to go box and physically touching this guy's food with the same hands that were just in his hair. Moments later I looked over to see a guy behind the line who was packing up our to go containers with our side dishes who then licked his fingers clean and immediately grabbed our containers with his freshly licked fingers and just stood there holding them like an eagle with a fish. I confronted him about the matter and he immediately tried to ignore me as if he didn't understand English and/or I was completely invisible. The manager standing right next to him didn't seem to bothered by him licking his fingers but was apparently offended by the fact that I was aggressively calling this kid out on his apparent and flagrant disregard for basic sanitation. A friend recommended Spring Creek. Even though it's a chain which can reduce the quality of the food you get, she still suggested I try it. I brought my kids with me. This Spring Creek had a cabin type theme inside. Lots of wood walls and furniture. You immediately start in the line to order after entering. I ordered the St. Louis ribs, cracked black pepper sausage link and half lean, half marbled brisket, potato salad and Mac cheese. It came with a dinner roll. I also ordered a side of fries for my son. I got all that for $24. Not bad. The quality of this food was just not tasty at all, unfortunately. The ribs were fatty and seemed like just an overall bad cut. I had to snatch the meat from the bone with my teeth. Hard pass. The cracked pepper sausage link was really no better. It tasted like it was made with bottom of the barrel ingredients. Forgettable taste. I have definitely had better. The lean brisket was so dry that I had to suck down my drink just to get it out of my throat. I literally thought I was going to choke. Potato salad tasted overly tangy and the potatoes tasted like they could have been cooked a little longer. Mac n Cheese was horrible, the Kraft in the box brand is better. There was a lady walking around giving out fresh, hot bread. That was probably the only thing I liked here. It was super soft, moist and tasty. Overall, the restaurant was clean, the staff was helpful, parking was easy and ordering was super fast (especially for a Saturday). It's just a huge letdown to know that food that tastes like this ended up being part of a chain of restaurants. Maybe the others are different, but the food here was just simply put, not good. I was craving bbq and found this spot since I was in the area. Very nice hospitality when I walked in and was offered a complimentary tea while I waited for my order to be prepared. Unfortunately, I was not a fan of my meal. I ordered the two meat, two sides (brisket and baby back ribs with corn and Mac and cheese) . I requested a marble blend brisket but didn't receive that. The brisket was VERY dry and had no fat. No tenderness, juiciness, flavor, nada the ribs were much better( wish I would've just gotten two of those instead) The corn had no flavor, like it was just boiled in plain water and the Mac and cheese was also pretty lackluster. We were originally going to go to the place across the street, but the line was so long it went out the door so we got in our car and looked up barbecue near us and found this place. I'm glad we did! There was no line and the food was good! I had the brisket and black pepper sausage. The best part is you can pick as many sides as you want and you still pay the same price for the plate. Ordered 1 loaded bake potato to go, with tax was $15.10. Person taking the to go area was lacking skills to work that area. Received the "free" drink while I waited, and the mix blend for Dr. Pepper and Coke was flat, horrible. This use to be a fairly decent clean place to eat BBQ. The poor service and quality of food was not due to a lack of staff, because there were plenty of workers there. Finally my order would be brought to the to go table, appears they only make one trip from the food prep area with all to go orders and phone delivery order. Asked the person working if I could take mine, she said she needed to check it, I opened it and saw it was correct and I told her that it was and that I was taking it. I'm not a fan of BBQ, but when my husband said he wished he still had his grill I knew it was really just to cook dinner so I placed an order using Door Dash. We ordered the "game day" meal, which is 2 meats and 3 sides, so we would have leftovers. Once again, I do not like BBQ, but I was impressed. The turkey breast was very moist with great flavor. I expected the green beans to taste like onions and bacon, but they were very good. My husband loved his barbecue sauced beans and brisket. They even included plates and cutlery so no dishes to clean after. The biggest plus was the bread was still warm on delivery as were the other items. I don't live far from here, but I've gotten deliveries from nearby restaurants that were room temperature. Let's start with the bbq sauce, so good, has a bit of a tang to it which I can't get enough of. We got the blended brisket, awesome melt in the mouth, put some of that sauce OMG yes! Then got the ribs, the dry rub plus the sauce, heaven in your mouth, just wish that the 1/2 pound came with 4 ribs instead of 3 that way we both could have 2 of those delicious ribs Then last but not lease the banana pudding, I have to say that it is so good that it rates right up there with my Mother's, so creamy and delicious So yes we are pleased with the food we got, and will order again read more
