I had such an amazing experience last time I dined here that I chose Spring Lake Seafood for my birthday dinner last night. The table was beautifully set, and I love that they're BYOB. Our service was quick and attentive! As for the food, I have never had fresher seafood in my life. We shared the tuna pizza appetizer, the ninja roll, and the spicy crunchy lobster roll. Everything was outstanding. I had the bluefin tuna flight all to myself, which came with akami, chutoro, and otoro. It was a perfect birthday treat for a tuna lover like myself! We ended the night with a delicious tres leches cake. I will be dreaming about this place until next time.

Just had another delicious meal here pleasant atmosphere delicious top-notch food and great ambience. The blackfish special was perfect The gnocchi was delicious and I believe they have the best sushi I've ever had anywhere. And they serve clams on the half shell properly with the wine like sauce, cocktail sauce, horseradish, and lemons. So many restaurants just don't get that right. Staff was super professional and super friendly from the three hostesses to Becky the manager and Kristen our waitress all great can't wait to go back. Made my wife's Mother's Day special.

By far our favorite restaurant in Spring Lake! Casual but nice ambiance, excellent service, and everything we've ever ordered is excellent. Our favorites are the spicy tuna pizza (spicy tuna crispy rice with spicy mayo, wasabi, and eel sauce), the ahi tuna, and the banana bread pudding. It's one of those places that you can't order "wrong." The sushi is so fresh, and we've enjoyed both the specialty rolls and the nigiri flights. It's BYOB, but they also have a small selection of wine. They also have a nice list of interesting mocktails. A reservation is needed, especially on the weekends. Looking forward to eating on the patio during the summer months!

Excellent meal for any seafood lover! Oysters were flavorful and plump. I savored every bite of the bluefin tuna flight, it was so fresh and delicious. Crab cakes were the best I've ever had. It was ALL crab meat, no fillers! With a perfectly crispy crust. Unfortunately we did not save room for dessert. BYOB was a huge plus, though the sober bar sounds delicious. Nautical touches all throughout the restaurant which made for a great ambiance. The restaurant was nicely lit as well, which is refreshing to see! Highly recommend!

Super friendly server, she was very pleasant, nice conversation. We both shared amazing oysters, so fresh and plump. Also both had the haddock sandwich, very nice portion and delicious. A very cozy restaurant, I highly recommend it.

Amazing lunch! I had the shrimp burger and it was delicious. So unique compared to what I'm used to. I loved their homemade root beer. Our waitress was fabulous and the entire restaurant had a good vibe. I enjoyed the ambiance of the decor. 10/10

We had an amazing lunch date at Spring Lake Seafood after a beach day. Place is clean, cute and cozy. Pretty coastal decor. Service was fabulous. We had servers switched mid shift and we couldn't be happier with both of them. They made a great suggestions, were attentive and available. We started with Prince Edward Island Oysters followed by fluke ceviche. Both amazing. For a main course we had fish tacos and fish & chips. I have never had tastier battered fish. Looked like it was painted on. Many times all you can taste is the coating. This one didn't disappoint. Ended lunch date with delicious key lime pie and blueberries custard pie. I would highly recommend this establishment. We couldn't wait to go back before we even left

What a wonderful meal and overall experience at Spring Lake Seafood. The property itself is beautifully detailed; a stunning yet relaxing and enjoyable space. The food was phenomenal. Incredibly fresh and creative dishes, well prepared with good depth of flavor, without trying too hard. Everything hit the mark well. We started with a salad course, I had the Bibb salad, which was delicious with fuji apples, candied walnuts, goat cheese champagne vinaigrette. Pretty sure the candied walnuts were made in-house, they had the perfect amount of crunch! My wife had the caesar, again spot on yummy salad. I walked past the service counter and saw they have a DRY AGER for their TUNA, which I have NEVER seen in a seafood restaurant. I'm a huge fan of dry aged beef, so seeing this put a big smile on my face. This place nerds out on the little touches, I love that. I got the bluefin tuna flight to sample the tuna and I will tell you it's the best tuna sushi I've ever had, so so good. Our main course we got crabcakes, and again they did top notch work. They used a remoulade that I've only ever had similar to (and have sought out since) at Del Frisco's but with less spice. I usually prefer broiled, but the crabcake had a perfect crust that didn't take away from the overall texture of the generous lump inside. They came paired with fingerling potatoes with a light sautee, and these brussel sprouts with this very unique sour citrus spicy flavor profile that I really enjoyed, full of flavor. Brad and Lula have a winner on their hands. Simply put, Spring Lake seafood is a 10/10, just go and you'll be blown away!

Really cute restaurant and quite busy on a Friday night! It is BYOB but they have some wines on the menu. We made a reservation just in case and to avoid any potential wait. They have a small bar, some booth seating, mostly tables. I will mention that it gets quite loud and it does feel like you have to shout to the people you're sitting with. We ordered the ninja roll as an appetizer, this was the star of the meal. I ordered the bolognese which was tasty. Their pasta tasted homemade and was a little on the softer side (not my preference but not bad). The bolognese and chicken tenders and fries both needed more salt, more of a preference thing since some people might not like a lot of salt. Overall, very cute and I would love to come back for more sushi!

Lobster roll with sub side salad

My husband and I split the ninja sushi roll to start which was delicious. We then both ordered the hot lobster roll. I paid for the substitution of a salad in place of the fries. The side salad was tasty with a sprinkling of breadcrumbs on the top and crunchy capers. My husband got the fries that come with the sandwich which were good. The lobster roll itself was good, but we have had better. Overall, we liked the meal and felt like the menu had a lot of good options. It took a very long time for the food to come out. Also it's a BYOB. We only had water to drink but noticed the rim on the glass bottle they provided was moldy. When we pointed it out to the sever she gave us a fresh one but it was also in need of a cleaning.

That's ok if they only gave one waitperson & they look busy. I can get past that. There are signs on the tables saying "cash is king" and that there's a 2.99% service fee for credit cards. Huge turn off: there's a cash machine at the service dais up front that charges 4.00% on withdrawals. That's more than most casinos! It was late so the nearest machine was a hike, so they try to get you. Fuck 'em; pay by card & you win, but not really. Another huge turn off: they charge $3.00 additional for salad & garlic bread. The salad was a small plate of romaine lettuce mixed & no other vegetables, mixed with fruit salad(cut green grapes, cantaloupe, & pineapple) & some bland fruity dressing. The garlic bread was actually a 3" chunk of store bought premade discount garlic bread. Very sad because the waitress sold us on it saying it was worth the extra money. WTF! Worst part: I ordered twin pork chops Italiano style w/ aglio olio & rabe sides. I cut into the pork which was a little rare for my liking, but when I took a bite, the taste of meat past its prime hit me hard. I'm an idiot so I cut from a different spot thinking it was maybe just me. I was wrong! The beautiful looking pork chops tasted spoiled and smelled way past date. None of 4 person party had food worthy of eating more than a few bites. My wife & daughter had chicken parmigiana which was swimming in sauce & rubbery. The waitress asked us what was wrong & we told her. She was nice enough to take a smell of the pork chops after I told her that I would never have served them if I'd owned that restaurant. She removed them from our bill and we left hungry!

We went to Spring Lake beach this weekend and we were looking for a good restaurant. We found Blend…read moreby Chef Lou. It's a nice, quiet venue and the staff were very attentive and friendly. We started with the bread, a focaccia, which was served with an olive oil that had a large roasted garlic in it. It was a delicious starter, and complimented our Caesar salad. The Caesar salad was 'different' - aren't they all? I've been experiencing very different types - the one tonight had a subtle dressing - with a subdued sweetness. The grated Parmesan and Breadcrumbs smothered the salad - when you see the picture, you'll understand. It was a good salad, however I would have preferred less grating and more dressing. Next up, the Waygu Meatballs, in a delicious San Marzano tomato sauce. The meatballs were excellent. I was mystified by the accompanying 'jar' of 'basil' ricotta. See attached picture-it's a large amount of ricotta - I tasted it - it was very creamy but the basil was faintly noticeable. I added a little to a meatball and it didn't enhance the 'bite' at all. I was embarrassed leaving this large jar of cheese. We shared the two entrees - the first, Sea Bass on a bed of mashed potatoes was cooked perfectly and had the most delicate taste. It was 'too delicate', if there is such a thing as- for they say, ' good fish, doesn't taste like fish '. However, the fish needed seasoning or sauce - one or the other, or both. The next entree was the mushroom house made ravioli - a tender pasta with a mushroom filling covered in a creamy, earthy mushroom sauce. We also ordered a side of sautéed wild mushrooms and added those to the ravioli - it was a wonderful dish.

The worst part was some of the tables are very close so sitting next to an obnoxious guy makes it hard to ignore. Anyway, the food: we each got a salad: Caesar salad dressing was in point, but TOO much cheese and the croutons were stale but there were t that many of those so no biggie. Hubby got the Tre colore salad which was a special & he loved it. For dinner we both did specials: chicken rollatini (amazing! Highlight dish of the evening) & husband got the Salmon Oscar which was very good too. Took dresser home as we often do bc we were stuffed: ring ding for 2. WOW! The pastry chef there is a genius and super talented, it was SO GOOD! I had coffee which was fantastic & hubby had espresso also fantastic. We will definitely be back!

Plenty of spots in the parking lot and easy to pay for 2 hours on the app - signs don't say what time the "meters" go off, but with 2 restaurants sharing the lot, we figured you probably have to pay until at least 8 pm, and we were early (5:30 ish). Got seated quickly, in a booth near a wide opening out to the beautiful patio on the water. Rather warm in the restaurant and there were overhead fans that weren't rotating, but it wasn't uncomfortable. We'd have had to wait a bit for an outdoor table, and anyway it was a hot humid day and night so indoors suited us just fine. One friend had the lobster bisque, served with a good chunk of a bread that looked tasty (she's not a bread lover but she enjoyed it so it must have been delicious) and she really liked the soup. Then she added another appetizer, spicy garlic shrimp. Generous portion of 6 shrimp. My other friend had the crabcake & shrimp plate, which came with a side salad that our waitress was savvy enough to bring first when our other friend was enjoying her soup. Some crumbled feta on the side salads, a nice touch. When she ordered, my friend asked if the crabcake had a lot of breading and our server assured her that it doesn't; that turned out to be accurate! I also got that side salad with the Ahi tuna bowl I ordered. This was a bowl of dry, bland white rice (might have been jasmine rice but not strong flavor). On one side atop the rice was a good portion of seaweed salad, which I love. Piled sort-of artistically on the other side of the rice mound were several small slices (6? 7?) of perfectly "black and blue" tuna crusted with both black and white sesame seeds. The fish and salad were delicious but not terribly filling. I ate most of the rice. I noticed that there was a marinade at the bottom and began to mix the rice with the marinade that was tasty. They do add 2.5% for credit cards, but that's fair enough these days. Entrées are on the pricey side, I thought ($39. for the crab/shrimp dish, 32 for my tuna, 12 for the lobster bisque), but there aren't any bargains dining out these days. We had no complaints, other than my somewhat dry rice. I'd like to give it 3 1/2 stars but will err on the generous side. We'll probably return next year on our beach day!

We ordered the Margherita pizza. It was just okay, not bad but also just not delicious. Sauce was a little bland, like it was missing garlic or seasoning. The mussels were good however we had asked if they could be prepared without the chilies. We were told yes by our server (who was a dear really, she was great I don't really blame her for anything) that they could leave out the chilies. Well we ordered them and there was definitely chilies! My friend could not eat them at all. I like spicy and even my eyes were watering. I just question getting bread rolls served with the mussels when the usual service is sliced toasted bread. So, as I said, I think just temper your expectations. This place does have the beautiful view going for it.
