Today was my second visit to this Spa. Although the first was a better experience; today wasn't. This time my boyfriend and I purchased the Groupon for the body and foot massage. The body massage was not good. The man wasn't gentle even though I said "very soft" multiple times. The foot spa was better but it was ruined by the group of women leaving their session. They were talking so loud as they paid the and as they left then more people came in and were talking. They need to put up some kind of shield or make it known that silence is expected wen walking in the door. After all of that our session was over then the woman that massaged my boyfriend made it known that we HAD to give them at least $10 each for a tip even though they didn't deserve it. It was posted on the wall as you walk out $10, $20, $30. I don't mind giving a tip, but I do mind being forced a certain amount when it's not deserved. We have traveled all over the world and recently Thailand. We got messages everyday there and never once did they ask for a certain amount for a tip. They took what we offered them. It was my first time to an Asian Spa so I was expecting a salon spa experience. We bought a Groupon and it was a full body massage and foot massage combo for 60 minutes. For some reason I thought I was going to get 60 minutes of full body and then a foot massage but it was 30 minutes each. Additionally, my full body massage wasn't relaxing or soothing as I'd hoped. I felt like I was getting beat up. My friend was next to me and was wondering what was happening to me when she heard all the hitting slapping noises. In the middle of the massage they stepped away for a few minutes so you don't know what's going on; until you hear them come back and to have a hot towel placed on your back. Once they were finished they ask you to go to the main room where they have about 10 beds in the open where they massage your feet. The foot spa was okay but I probably won't come back again. My cousin and sister did get massages too but they seemed to enjoy it more than me. They did indicate it's more reflexology than your typical therapeutic massages. My girls and I went here for a last minute massage while roaming around Chinatown for food. This is located in one of the many strip malls in Chinatown. Luckily at the time we went, they were able to accommodate all 5 of us, which we appreciated. However, setting up was very confusing so that kind of threw off the whole relaxed vibe we were looking for. We went for the 75 minute massage which was only about $60.They suggested amounts for tips based on how much you liked it ($10 for good, $20 for best, etc), which I didn't like so much. I wasn't given any choices or preferences prior to massage, which I would have liked. Sometimes talking among staff happened, which was another turn off but it was only a short amount of time. Despite all this, I enjoyed my massage especially for the price. Would I come here again? Probably not as I would like to try another place next time. I loved this place! It's just like places I've been in China for foot massage. Very authentic, except they don't soak your feet in tea. The foot massage is amazing! The full body massage was not quite as good, but I highly recommend the foot massage. They are very nice here as well. I didn't know there was a Groupon special for the combination foot and body massage, and not only did they tell me about it, they offered me that price as well. We were very tired from standing in a booth all day at the Convention Center, so this was a wonderful treat. If I lived in Vegas, I would be here weekly! We got the 60-minute full body combo with the green tea foot soak and sea salt foot scrub -- we also ended up getting the hot stones when as it was highly recommended, and let me tell you, it was worth ever penny! I am beyond satisfied with their services -- It was my first time getting a massage and I'll definitely be back soon! We were greeted and accommodated immediately upon arrival. Let's start with what I like. It has a price list of services so I know what and how much I am paying for. I always visit this place every time I come to Vegas and I used to get a male masseuse and I always came out relaxed. This time I got a female masseuse and I am really disappointed. I think I got a foot rub rather than a foot massage. She basically put lotion on my feet and rub them with her hands. I have a well lotioned feet but I still desperately needed a foot massage. This is the most expensive $48 ($38+$10 tip) foot rub. I don't know why I tip her. I should have known when they asked me to pay them first. I have never been to one that I have to pay first. I was extremely disappointed with the customer service and the quality of the massage. I made an appointment here for a couples massage about 2 or so weeks ago. When I walked in, the lady seemed surprised that she had an appointment, especially for 2 people. I also specified on the phone the type of massage I wanted, and the person said she had written it down. The woman I spoke to in person had no clue. Moving on to the actual massage, the oil is COLD and the blanket isn't long enough to cover the whole body. Also, my massage was very uneven, he was focused on mostly massaging my right side, and now my whole left body feels neglected. The oil copious amounts of oil on you, which is extremely unnecessary and messy. BEWARE OF HIDDEN CHARGES: one third of the way through the massage, the masseuse asked me "is hot stone okay?" I said sure, because all my previous couples massage had it. NOPE it's an extra 20 dollar charge!!! Also TIP IS MANDATORY, which I hated. I only wanted to tip a few bucks, but they wouldn't let us leave and kept pressuring us to tip another 20. I felt really awkward and uncomfortable and wanted to get the hell out of there. My husband and I came here for foot massage and he had a great experience, my was not so wonderful and there for still giving 2 stars. There were really several reason. As another reviewer mentioned, my particular masseuse fell asleep quite a few time where I had to wiggle my feet to wake him up. He had a 3 move routine he just kept repeating until it became annoying. I had to ask him to work on the other parts of my feet that he otherwise didn't touch. The toes were all he seemed to want to work on, over and over again and half of it was painful I kept having to jerk my foot away. I've never actually ever been happy a massage was over. I still tipped because the guy has to earn a living, and I felt bad that he looked confused when I tipped, 15$, 5$ less than my husband did, but what was I supposed do? She told me to grab all my things to move over to another room where I got a really bad body massage. I'be never been transferred over to another room (which this cut into our time). Pros: I can't find a better massage place than spring spa. I went a couple months ago with my boyfriend and we both thought this place was amazing. I slept on my neck wrong the night before and had terrible neck and back pain and didn't tell the lady before the massage. She spent majority of the time on my back in one specific area and went hardcore. She also popped my neck and put my arms and legs in weird positions that popped my entire spine. How's that even possible?! Anyways, super intense massage and I felt amazing afterwards. Con: just one. The price! We went in thinking it's around $30 an hr like many other Chinese owned spas but this place costed $60/hour per person! That's so much for a massage spa on spring mountain... We usually tip at least $20 per person but since this place is super expensive already, my boyfriend tipped $15 a person and paid a total of $150. Please lower your prices!! They used heat, depth, hydrotherapy, and directional massage to trace muscle groups, promote circulation, release bound tendons & nerves. I had a rib that was out. She found it and fixed it. My husband works with large scale compressors in a highly industrialized oil field. The therapist recognized issues with his neck, shoulders, & lower back. This is not American traditional. So if you aren't willing to get out of your comfort-zone, stick with substandard feel-good places.
