I am a horse boarder. Overall facility is run down. Owner thinks that her farm is the only facility within 100 miles. Infested with rats. They travel in packs. After 6 months, Homeymoon was over and we were treated as lowlifes. I don't understand. My wife and I are decent people. I am retired Army. You would think that an owner would have better business sense, knowing how to handle customer service after so many decades. She has NONE. We didn't know that our horse was overdue for vaccinations. OK. No prob. Fix it. Right? We were ordered to remove our horse if it didn't get done. ASAP. That simple. No loyalty, teamwork, or sympathy. Owner's arrogance leads me to believe she is on medication for something. Likely an alcoholic. There are very few clients. Very few. Almost none. It's run like a concentration camp. The only good facet is that there are very large fields, where horses can live their lives naturally. We removed our horse from this facility at 7 am. She had a car lined up so that we could not get out, over a $144 due balance. We can now live in peace. read more

One of the worst facilities I have ever been at. They periodically forget to feed my horse. The stalls are not cleaned properly. The management is just not what I would expect for the cost that they charge. read more

I got a groupon voucher for a trail ride for 2. The person leading the group was completely disinterested in the group she was leading. She seemed to not want to be doing trail rides, told us absolutely nothing about the stable, its history, the river we were passing...nothing. It was a boring walking ride, there was nothing 'adventurous' about it. Also, it was shorter than the full hour we paid for. I would never go here again, and would never recommend to anyone. read more

This Barn is lovely! My family had a wonderful time from beginning to end. I had been looking for somewhere to take a trail ride for awhile since I remembered how much fun it was when I was a kid and I wanted my kids to have the same fun I did. My friends told me about this place after I heard their story of the great time they had with their family on the trail. We scheduled our trail ride with ease and then showed up early as recommended. My husband, my two girls, and myself had a private trail ride, just us and the guides! Our guides were so engaging and were truly a delight. They knew about the trails and the area as well as could name every horse that my youngest pointed to in the fields we passed. The ride was so picturesque and peaceful, the trail was very well maintained, as was the entire property. The horses sure seemed happy! My eldest wanted to buy her horse she loved him so much. All the horses we encountered were calm, gentle, and very friendly. I kept hearing all about the horses and which was their favorite the entire car ride home and around the house for the next few days. I would for sure recommend this barn for trail rides. There were no negatives in our experience and we are planning on scheduling another trail ride once the girls are out of school, maybe even sending them to the summer camp that this barn holds. If you want to have a great time out in nature I recommend this place wholeheartedly. read more

Second year in a row we headed back to this place. It is my kids highlight of their summer. Christine, who runs the farm along with her family, is exquisite. She takes the time to get to know you and your family to match you up with the perfect horses. The facility was fantastic. The guides extraordinary. The experience, priceless. We clearly have made this an annual tradition and I look forward to continuing this for many years to come. read more

Went here for a second time this year to take a ride and enjoy the fall leaves. When we went last year, we had a smaller group 5 compared to our group this year, 8. After our experience last year we were surprised that we spent so much time in the stable getting fitted on the horses and walking around in circles inside. When we finally got on the trail, we did not have any galloping, just lazy walking through the woods. Also, we had gone down to the river and rode alongside it, this time, we didnt go down that far and looped back. All in our group were looking forward to the river section of the trail. The ride is supposed to be ~15 min in the stable and 45 on the trail. We started a bit late, 25 min in stable and were back in time for the original end time. Our guide the previous year was very personable, this time we had 2 guides and neither were engaging until we got back and tipped. Not impressed. The area is beautiful, the horses were healthy, the price was reasonable, but expectations were not met. FYI: If using a google maps, it indicates the stable in on the wrong side of the road. It is not clear, but once you get in, proceed up the hill and go inside the barn in order to get start paperwork etc. read more

Just wanted to get away. Asked for a slow horse...just wanted to cruze...you can get a running horse if you ask..tell them you are an experienced rider if your testosterone is high and afford to fall off. I don't want to Chitter chatter...except with my love. My new horse..good listonner ...Good time to think. The horses are programed to just love a by by..you want excitement go to the track and drop a few grand.....good for a date. .. take a bag of apples if you are smart. read more

I took my teenage daughter for a trail ride in July 2015 and we had an amazing time! Lynnea took us out on Salty and Reggie and despite it being our first time horseback riding she made us feel comfortable and allowed us to really enjoy ourselves. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a great way to spend some time outdoors. read more

Despite us arriving late for our trail ride, the staff was welcoming and friendly and able to give us the hour long ride we had scheduled. They were a little short-staffed for the day (which they warned me of when I made the reservations), so it took a while for our group of six to get our helmets and get settled on the horses before going out on the trails. But again, they still gave us an hour long ride. We rode Western style and the horses were very responsive to neck-raining (not always the case with trail horses). But the guide was not very attentive and kept going a little ahead of our group. We were fine because of our prior experience with horses and we were able to help our two friends who had little experience, but the lack of assistance from the guide for beginner riders might not be great. At one point the horses took off at a trot, following the lead horse, so if you're not prepared for it and new at riding it could be tricky to handle. But, the horses were not out of control and were easily directed. Like most trail horses they follow each other well, try to eat grass and trees on the side of the trail, and sometimes have attitudes. For the price ($30/person) it was very good!! read more
