Their food is so incredibly consistent; and consistently good at that, that whenever I need a really great meal, I know just where to go. Busy shouldn't mean "worst service". Set my timer and had 17 minutes pass before our waiter came back to check to see if we needed anything. This is our favorite place to eat. Not sure if we got an off day but this was only just ok for a special occasion. This was somewhat of a let down the seafood special was part undercooked scallops and part over cooked shrimp. The "stuffing" in crab cake and shrimp was cooked by someone without taste buds. When we told the waiter, he did seem embarrassed, but not interested to inquire why we said it was a disappointment. Is becoming our "go to" place for dinner. I had the seared sea scallops and carrot puree, it was fantastic! Husband had zing chicken which also was delicious and perfectly seasoned. Took my husband for his birthday. He ordered the steak medallions off the daily special and I ordered the salmon. Salmon was really good the steak medallions not so much. Hubby shared a bite and I had to agree with him. Worse filet I've ever had major disappointment for hubby. I told him he was just saving room for dessert. Unfortunately dessert tray had absolutely NO chocolate. Really? Come on Springfield Grille throw us a brownie for Pete's sake. My wife and I came here last night for dinner. We made a reservation which I would recommend if dining on a Saturday or Friday. We were early so we decided to grab a drink in the bar while we waited. The bar was full but we were served promptly. My wife had a vodka tonic, I had a Cabernet , $12.00. Not a bad price. We were sat at our table at the same time as our reservation. We both started with side salads and were pleased with the balsamic dressing, no tomatoes? The entrees we chose were a sea bass for my wife and a blue cheese sirloin for myself. The dinner was served right after we finished our salads. She said her sea bass was very good, my sirloin was just about perfect, maybe undercooked by a minute. We opted to split a cheesecake. This was just ok. I don't think this is homemade. Our server did disappear for awhile during dinner but mot long enough to make a huge fuss. We would go back. read more

This restaurant was good around 15 years ago when it first opened. Over time it has gone steadily downhill. Unfortunately for the more discerning diner there are not many good restaurants in this area. The food is mediocre at best. Although the service is very attentive and good. My most recent visit I ordered the surf and turf. The baked potato was the best part of that meal. Filet dry, unflavored, and over heat-lamped (dry). 4 oz lobster tail maybe 2-3 oz at best. Baked potato very good. The maître d woman "working the tables" was not interested in hearing any negative comments about my dining experience, she listened and left without any comments or apologies or anything, she just walked away. read more

This is definitely the best restaurant in the Cranberry TWP/ Mars area! My husband and I have eaten at many of the nicer restaurants in the area, but this is now our new favorite after we tried it out for the first time last night! The menu has lots of really great options from jazzed up chicken, to nice pasta dishes and lots of steaks (including Filet Oscar, which is usually hard to find). My husband took me, my mother-in-law and nephew, and every one of us was able to find something fantastic for an entree and dessert. We shared the Roasted Garlic appetizer, which was absolutely amazing! If you like garlic, you must try it! In addition, the crab cake appetizer was also very good, and filled with almost all crab, and very fresh tasting. The soups, and salads are also nice. Dessert was fabulous! Great service. Drink selection is good, and prices for martini's / mixed drinks is actually quite reasonable. read more

We had dinner here last evening and everything was enjoyable. First, I have to say that I love Manhattans and not many places make this classic drink well. I had a Manhattan here that was perfectly made. We shared the fried zucchini as an appetizer. Excellent. We both had the mushroom barley soup that was very good, and we both got the pecan hazelnut cream chicken served with roasted potatoes. Everything was so good. Don't count on this restaurant to honor a reservation. On December 23rd, we had reservations for 7:30 for 12 people. We arrived 5 minutes early and were told our table wasn't ready. After numerous attempts to talk to any manager, we were still standing in the doorway at 8:00. We were told that a party of 12, that had been there since 4:30, was still at our table. They said they had NO idea when we would be seated. No offer of apologies. Actually the staff was rather rude and walked away from us when we tried to get answers. Don't waste your time and have your evening ruined by making reservations here. We left and went up the road to Luciano's and had a fabulous meal. read more

I went here on a special date on a Friday. The restaurant was fairly crowded but by no means as packed as normal. We had no problem getting a table. The food was pretty good but the service was so bad that I felt compelled to write a review. Our server was a sour female who seemed to want us out of the restaurant as soon as possible. We weren't close to finishing our salads when she brought our main courses (salmon). She couldn't be bothered to smile upon each visit to our table and looked like we were bothering her to sit and have dinner despite the fact that neither one of us made a special request in connection with our meals. She was so miserable that, despite enjoying the meal, I never want to return for fear of having her as my server again. If you're seated at a table with an overweight woman with glasses and dark hair as your server, beware. She literally spolied our respective dinners. read more

My party and I had the absolute best server at lunch that I have ever had at any restaurant. I have dined at many of the high-end restaurants downtown and on Mount Washington and still, Kaitlin S. was hands-down the best. She was polite, attentive, gracious, and exceptionally kind. When she saw we were low on our cheese board, she asked if we would like her to bring us more cheese. I've never had a server ask to refill food the way she did. When it was time for ordering sides, instead of listing them like most servers do or saying, "Do you want the fries?", She said, "Tell me what you want, anything, and I will get it for you." It's not that she was creating new dishes on the fly in the kitchen, but how she phrased it that seemed exceptional. She made us feel like we were celebrating an extraordinary special occasion, even though it was myself and three co-workers from the Cranberry area who have dinec there countless times. I have been to the restaurant for work, to meet friends, and we send customers to the restaurant every week because no one has ever had a bad experience there. The service and quality of food are consistently good. The ambience seems very high-end and the food is very good while still being extremely affordable. The menu has unique items as well as traditional ones that have stood the test of time, like burgers. I have never seen Kaitlin there before and I am going to be dining with friends soon, so I am going to call and see if we can be seated in her section when we make our reservation. The restaurant is great but this server just knocked it out of the park with her courtesy and customer service. Everyone at our table asked what her name was and said they were going to go back and write a recommendation because she went above and beyond. I called the restaurant and spoke to the manager tonight as well. I raved about the service and the excellent server. The next time we send customers to Springfield Grille, we are definitely going to tell them to ask for Kaitlin. read more

Went there on Sunday - reservations at 4:00 p.m. and didn't get out of there until 6:30 p.m. I liked not being rushed but this was a little ridiculous. Wasn't crowded but services was extremely slow. Manager actually came over at one point to apologize for the wait and promised the entrees would be there in 4 minutes - which ended up about another 15. Had a group of 6 so got the Four Play Appetizer (not on the menu); while it was good it was $45 which we found out when we got the bill. Waitress was below average and meals were very pricey.
