If you have not been to Feast in Gibsonia you don't know what you're missing! Just had just had an incredible meal. Every dish was five star. Amazing creative appetizers. Everything is homemade. The short rib with peach barbecue sauce was phenomenal. We loved the cheese crisps with three different dips. The bacon tomato dip is so good I was able to buy an extra container of it to take home! The breadbasket was warm and fresh. Four different kinds of bread with honey butter and avocado dip. The peach cake dessert was filled with peaches. The homemade sorbets were light and fresh. Feast is a fun, global restaurant tucked within a strip mall. It's unique menu, which changes seasonally, incorporates global fusions mixed with comfort food. They also have a bar and an extensive non-alcoholic and cocktail menu! Once a month, they also have a tasting menu that incorporates a certain global cuisine. For my meal, I got the Lamb Meatloaf. It was so unique and different and so flavorful! I also got the Appalachian Stacked Fig Cake, which tasted like gingerbread; it was a unique flavor combination! I've driven past this place off Route 8 countless times. At first, I didn't know it was a restaurant but after I saw someone ment having a great dinner here, we decided to give it a try. I'm generally easygoing, but when it comes to food, coffee, and cocktails...I'm a bit of a pain and particular. That said, I was absolutely blown away by this place. I love that they source their meat and veggies from local farms; the difference in quality is obvious. Every dish was flavorful, fresh, and thoughtful. The North Hills really needs more spots like this! We ordered the bacon-wrapped walleye (best fish in a long time), sweet potato chips, arancini, wedge salad, and tuna poke. I also had the Fall Mule, which was fantastic. The service was fantastic as well. I honestly debated not writing a review because I don't want this hidden gem to get so popular that I can't get a reservation, but they deserve the praise! read more

Feast is a privately owned restaurant that opened in 2023. It serves upscale American foods in a casual atmosphere (casual dress is OK), and it also has a full bar with wines, cocktails, etcetera. The menu changes seasonally, and some special four-course feasts are scheduled on certain dates. Please see my attached photos for the menu in spring 2024. Reservations are recommended, but walk-ins are welcome. I made a reservation for my husband and me for the opening time of 4:30 PM. The seating hostess immediately and kindly greeted us and seated us at a small, clean table. Soon our waiter Don introduced himself, and he provided timely and courteous service throughout our meal. Here are my husband's and my ratings for our foods and beverage: Assorted bread basket - 5 stars - This basket was filled with onion naan, garlic knots, cornbread, parmesan straws, butter, and a non-dairy spread. The breads were fresh and moist and had a nice variety of flavors. Spicy tuna and crispy potato roll - 4.5 stars - This tuna roll had a unique appearance that was not what we expected, but it tasted very good. The tuna and avocado were inside a crispy potato wrapping. Tandoori Board's Head mushroom - 4 stars - Chunks of mushrooms were on a stick. Saucy cucumber slices were separate and topped with potato-chip pieces. Seafood risotto - 5 stars - This risotto contained asparagus, scallops, crab, and shrimp that were cooked perfectly. I enjoyed every bite of this entree. Five-spice roasted duck - 4.5 stars - The duck was cooked medium and was very flavorful. The bok choy could have used slightly more flavor. The rice was cooked and seasoned well. Strawberry creme brulee - 5 stars - The bottom layer was vanilla custard. The middle layer was strawberry mouse. The top layer was crispy, caramelized sugar. Warm wishes - 5 stars - This zero-alcohol drink contained orange, pineapple, and luxardo juices and tasted very sweet. Overall, the foods were more unique than what most other restaurants serve. My husband thought that the prices were a bit high. We spent $123 plus a tip. The quality of the food and the employees' customer service, however, made the visit worthwhile. read more

Disappointing compared to previous experiences here. It was not busy, so this experience was unexpected. 3 bacon wrapped dates for the appetizer was pitiful. Not enough to share! The arancini( again just three) were tiny. My pork chop was overcooked and dry. My husband's walleye was oddly in pinwheels and the taste of the fish was undefinable. The sweet potato fry pie was all dough and the buttered pecan ice cream was underwhelming. The service was good, but food not so much. We likely won't be back. read more

I came here on a Friday night and it was hopping. Luckily, I had made a reservation and we were seated right away. Our server was awesome. She obviously loved working there and loved all of the food. She said all of the employees get to try all of the dishes, so they know first hand what they're serving. For appetizers, we got 2 salads (warm red cabbage salad and baby spinach salad with tempura squash), and the Vietnamese shrimp and grits. Wow, everything was so good! I never had fried squash before. It was excellent and paired perfectly with the orange vinaigrette. My friend loved the red cabbage salad so much that she attempted to replicate it at home the next day. For dinner, I got the Pecan crusted walleye. It came with a sweet potato flan and orange butter sauce. The fish was cooked and seasoned perfectly. There wasn't anything wrong with the sweet potato, but it just wasn't my thing. I would have preferred just regular sweet potatoes on the side. I tried a couple of the cocktails while I was there and they were both crafted perfectly. I have already told all of my friends and will be going back for sure! read more

Ended up here after our planned anniversary dinner spot was unexpectedly closed. They were able to get us a table at the last minute and we were very happy to be there. We started with the September Mule and a Flinn's Negroni and the Lobster & Pimento Cheese Arancini. All very good! We had the Elk special and the Grilled Pork Ribeye (the Brussels sprouts slaw stole the show!). Our server was very attentive and each course arrived in a timely but not rushed way. What I am about to say is sincere. I don't take food lightly. The short rib was some of the best of my life and I absolutely love it. It was so tender and flavorful. I'll be dreaming of this meal. HOLY COW! I had one of the best meals ever; while home visiting for Christmas. The Bahn Mi Charcuterie board was the best Bahn Mi flavors I've ever had. If they made this as a traditional sandwich I'd eat a 2'er. I don't usually go for bacon wrapped meats but rolled the dice and got the bacon wrapped walleye. Instead of one big fillet like I was expecting it was 5 or 6 medallions. This allowed the bacon to stay crispy and cut easily so you could get some of both in every bite. We sat at the bar and Shelby the bartender was wonderful. Do yourself a favor and check this spot out now! Like worth the drive from the south hills good. read more

I had the best dinner here! We had a party of six. The server was attentive and very knowledgeable about both the menu and the wine list which was very good with a great selection. We started with the large bread basket. I really didn't want to share with anyone but I did. It was a delicious carb heaven with two different spreads. One of us ordered the root vegetable chips which I sampled. It's worth it just for the dips alone. I got the beet terrine and really enjoyed it. For entrees, I got the elk pie. It was yummy and perfect for a cold night. Several of us got the salmon. They loved it and the plating was so beautiful it could have been on a magazine cover. Another one got the lamb meatloaf. It looked delicious and was a very generous portion. I would have gladly eaten either of these. The house seltzer was very good and I would recommend any of them. All in all I will be back! Great new spot in Gibsonia next to Rite Aid on Route 8. I believe they opened this last spring much to joy of all of us "locals". Their amazing menu is complimented with a inovatetyve spin on classic cocktails served by dreamy bartenders! (Try the seasonal Summer Lovin' while they still offer it!) Our comfortable evening on the patio was made complete by our server Cindy,( sp?) whose vast knowledge of all the farm to table options on their menu that month helped us finalize our dinner decisions. Feast is a wonderful addition to an area that has very little restaurant selection. They have a daily special. On the day I was there it was duck breast. cooked perfectly. I have had multiple items off of the eclectic menu. All have been delicious. My husband and my mother love the burger. Staff is friendly and welcoming. food is from different nationalities and very creative. Prices are higher end, portions are a good satisfying size. My daughter and I were celebrating her birthday. We were so excited for a new restaurant on the Route 8 corridor! Much needed! Well, the beet and goat cheese appetizer was unusual and very good, but things went down hill from there. The Caesar salad was heavy on the anchovies. Very heavy. I took one bite and stopped eating. After the waiter took it away, the owner came rushing over to chastise me for my bad taste. "All Caesar salads contain anchovies", she said over and over and over. She left off "stupid" at the end of her speech, but that was implied. I had to ask her to please stop talking and leave us alone. I should point out that I LOVE Caesar salads, and have enjoyed them from many, many places. However, none I have had before have tasted like fish brine. After the verbal beating, we were on to the bland, dry salmon and the rice cake I couldn't cut with a knife. The bill arrived and it included the charge for the fish brine salad. (I did not ask not to be charged for it. I just didn't like it.) We paid the bill in full with a tip to the waiter and left. When we walked in to Feast that night, my daughter and I said to each other that we "really hope this place does well." I'm afraid with a rude owner and mediocre, pricey food, this place will face the same destiny as it's predecessors in that location. But hey, give it a try.
