Absolutely 1,000% recommend this place this is one of the nicest SpringHill Suites we've been to and they have breakfast sandwiches not the ones where you make yourself but they actually have ready made and they had quiche this is probably the first time I've seen quiche for breakfast at any SpringHill Suites front desk is very courteous and very welcoming the place is brand new has great views lots of seating area inside and outside and has gym facility and swimming pool facility very easy to walk across the street Trader Joe's Target and many other stores within walking distance nearby we even at parking for our RV which was a nice bonus unexpected they can get crowded as we were told that this is the most popular and busy of the Marriott properties in the vicinity lots of development going on the area is super trendy super nice and very accessible to many nearby things to do. And absolutely have to give a shout out to friont desk gentleman named Mickey who helped us out and also was very nice to Grandma traveling with us

This hotel exceeded all of my expectations! The staff truly goes above and beyond to make every guest feel welcome. A special thank you to Mickey, Alex, Freddy, and Stanley for their outstanding customer service. They were incredibly attentive, genuinely caring, and always willing to help with a smile. I can't say enough good things about them! The hotel itself is spotless, with clean and spacious rooms that are very comfortable. The location is fantastic, and honestly, the photos don't do it justice. One of my favorite features was the pool area, surrounded by windows that offer ocean views. The outdoor spaces are equally impressive, with cozy fire pits on both the terrace and the rooftop perfect for relaxing in the evening. If you're looking for a hotel with exceptional service I highly recommend staying here!

We made a last minute booking for this location and used my Bonvoy points for our road trip up north. It's located in a nice area with The Dunes across the street that includes a Trader Joe's and numerous restaurants and shops. The hotel was clean and modern with a shared parking lot with a Hilton. I only had to interact with the front desk once because I automatically received my key via the app. The room was clean and includes a mini fridge and microwave with a seating area. The TV is oddly placed and doesn't fully turn towards the bed. Also the bed is right in front of the bathroom which is not great but that's the designer flaw. Breakfast was ok but they should really include a protein option for non-meat eaters, like Beyond sausage.

We really enjoyed our stay here, although brief, and would definitely consider coming back on our next Monterey trip. This hotel has updated and modern fixings and amenities. It's a great place to start your Monterey stay and a great place to send you off. Location is convenient, just to start. Being only 20 minutes from downtown Monterey/Cannery Row and just a few minutes away from some major stores and restaurants, you can rest assured that you'll have everything you need to embark on your journey. Big parking lot also ensures you'll have a spot that's likely visible from your room in case you're paranoid like me. Right from check in, the staff were amazing and accommodated as best as they could. We had asked for a baby crib and they were able to get us a decently conditioned pack-n-play crib. It worked fine! And when we requested towels, they were quick to respond and fulfill. The staff in the dining area was also very quick and efficient to keep food fresh and stocked. Speaking of dining, the continental breakfast (sausage, eggs, potatoes, cereal, oatmeal and toppings, bagel, toast, English muffin, juice, coffee, yogurt, and fresh fruit) was great! A complete breakfast to energize us for the adventure we planned! They also have an indoor heated pool that we got to try out. Great for a quick dip! There were also fire pits available but it was a bit too windy for us to use it this time around. They are a nice addition for those late night night caps. The rooms were very comfortable. The layout and storage space worked well for us. Bathrooms were clean and spacious. They had some freebies for us to use (shampoo, body wash, conditioner but no lotion). And for the most part, the rooms were pretty quiet. When we stayed, it looked like there were more hotels being constructed. When we return to Monterey, this place will still be on the top of our list based on our previous experience!

First time trying this brand of Marriott. I do believe this hotel is fairly new. Everything worked okay. There were some little things that needed thought out. The outlet next to the bed was under the built in nightstand. Very difficult to reach. The shower door had a 3/4 inch gap that allow water for the shower out. Made a mess everywhere. The team working the hotel were extremely helpful and caring. They made us feel welcome. They responded to our needs immediately. We didn't eat there or use the bar so no information on those. I would use this brand again.

My family and I usually stay at Embassy because it was the only family friendly hotel in Monterey with an indoor pool and amenities.

The cheesecake was so good I had to sit in silence for a minute and reevaluate every life choice that led me to lesser cheesecakes. They treated me like I was a long-lost cousin returning from war with important cheesecake-related news. The atmosphere was warm, welcoming, and smelled like happiness and butter. At this point I don't even think this place is a bakery. I think it's a public service. I was so happy they were open on NYE because it was a good stop along the way back up to SF. They had reduced hours, but they posted it on Yelp and IG - so I didn't have that "will they, won't they" anxiety of whether they'd actually be open on a holiday. The cheesecake selection was pretty good - about 12 different flavors. The cheesecake texture is softer and more of a whipped consistency rather than a dense cheesecake, which I definitely prefer. This is a grab and go counter, though you could technically stay and eat it there since there was some seating. I grabbed a dozen and took them to a NYE potluck that day and folks said they really enjoyed it. Would recommend getting the plain, ube, and pass on the key lime (but thats just IMO).

Unfortunately it wasn't the service I expected to receive from a Hilton property…read more Upon arriving at 3pm for check-in, we were advised the room was not ready and check-in is now 4pm. That was a bit frustrating as we have a 10-month old we just drove with for a couple hours. Either way, we went a couple blocks down the road and had some pizza while we waited for the room. Now for the room, when we arrive, the door to the full-size refrigerator was open. Therefore, the refrigerator was not cold at all and the groceries we brought would have to stay in the cooler until the refrigerator became cold enough. Upon my investigation, when the door to the hotel room opens, the handle briefly attaches to the door of the refrigerator, pulling that open as the heavy room door shuts. Voila - Sherlock Holmes has cracked the case! HA! Bathroom - a couple of issues here; the Water pressure - there was none! Also, there was no bathtub for the baby which we requested a room with a bathtub. Let's talk space and beds. It had two queen-sized beds, room was spacious enough for us 3 adults and baby. There was a couch which pulled out into a sleeper. Comfortable? NOT IN THE LEAST! The mattress on both beds seemed like they were a decade old and all you could feel were the springs, no soft comfort. The bed nearest the window loss it's springiness as you just sank right into the middle. Whoa! But I guess if you like super sinking springy beds, this would be to your liking. The kitchenette; you'll have to ask for a hot plate if you want to cook in your room. At first we were looking everywhere for it, because they don't mention upon check-in that they need to actually give one to you upon request. Also, the microwave above the sink was not working at all. No power at all, and upon our attempts to reach Yessenia at the front desk for assistance, they never picked up. So, again, Sherlock Holmes to the case and with the use of the ottoman to climb upon and check above the cabinetry, we found the appliance was not plugged in. Sheesh, these guys are making me work for my stay. Sherlock solves another case at this location. The pool area could be smelled from the hallway downstairs; I understand the use of chlorine, but whew it was strong. The pool was fine, not heated but not freezing. The hot tub had so much bubbles I wasn't sure what was going on in there, I did not attempt to make use of it. The bbq grill outside for use was nice, however, they do not clean it, so clean it yourself before use. Also, the bbq cooking utensils are also used by other guests, so again, be mindful of what you're cooking with. Breakfast is from 6am-9am in the morning and it was okay. They offer three types of cereal, boiled eggs, there's a waffle maker, bagels, muffins, toast, oatmeal, usually a type of protein (bacon, chicken, or sausage), and biscuits. They have regular milk, almond, and oat milk, as well as juice, coffee, and tea. I recommend not going too late because they will not make anymore food by the 8:30 mark. The woman said, no that's it, just what's left - which was cold eggs, waffle, and muffins. Yikes! Oh, also this is not a baby friendly place. There are outlets all over the place that are not guarded. Just a helpful hint for parents out there. Unfortunately the check-out process with Yessenia was not great. She appeared to be annoyed with a customer before me and continued on with me. I advised her that the customer service she was providing was not how a person in her position should be acting. Maybe she was having a bad day, but if that's the case, take a break and switch out with someone else. So would I stay here again, definitely not. Paying nearly $500 for this type of service and room is not worth it.

The additional space would have been nice for two adults and their furry friend. It was still a great room with an awesome view of the dunes and water. Check in was terrific. The lobby is beautiful and stocked for a quick whatever you might want. There is a backyard behind the lobby that is sheltered from those pesky ocean breezes with firepit, tables, chairs and other stuff. Nice touch. Our room was spotless. The bathroom was very nice. Clean and let me say that the shower was fantastic. There is a heater/fan in the bathroom that made getting out of the shower, pleasantly warm. Toiletries are of nice quality. Our dog, Sian found the stick library very useful and she had a blast going after it on the beach and in the ocean. She even brought it back to the library the morning we left, for others to use during their stay. The pet welcome is a nice touch. This site is very pet friendly. Not so much for the timeshares that are on the same property. And that's fine. Parking is not allowed at the units. You are driven to your unit by one of the great golf cart drivers. Zach was our driver. Loaded all our luggage on to the the cart. As we journeyed to our cottage, Zach pointed out sites as well as amenities. Unloaded our luggage as wll as went and got us ice as we settled in. If you need help getting to your car, onsite restaurant or the lobby, just call the lobby about 10 minutes before you want to go and someone will be there. The restaurant is great. We loved it so much that we went to Otto's bakery in Salinas on our way out of town to bring it home with us. The restaurant is not open for breakfast but, at check in, you will get a room service menu that that's how you can have breakfast onsite. More on the restaurant in that review... We paid around $1,000 for one night, so I arrived excited and expecting something special. Unfortunately, our experience was the opposite. Many of the pet-friendly touches that influenced me to book were missing at check-in. There was no personalized dog welcome setup, no dog package, and my dog's name was not on the welcome sign until I called later. I had also requested a simple welcome card for my mother-in-law's first trip to California, and although staff said they would gladly do it, it was never done. We also had multiple room issues throughout the stay. The TV was not working, the phone buttons to reach the front desk did not work, there was no extra pillow for the fold-out bed, and there was even a leftover dog chew from a previous guest found in the bed. To be fair, the maintenance employee was kind and helpful, and the complimentary bottle of wine was appreciated. However, for this price point, the lack of attention to detail and overall service was really disappointing. What upset me most was checkout. I politely explained that I was disappointed and thought at minimum the pet fee might be removed, but there was no effort to make things right beyond emailing the receipt. Beautiful location, but the experience did not match the cost or reputation. I truly wanted to love this stay and left sad and let down instead.
