Buyer Beware!!! This company has a lot of good product as long as they can get the delivery correct. We have purchased thousands of dollars worth of product from them. However recently we ordered some product and FedEx was a disaster on the delivery. First they lost the label, then they delivered to the wrong address. So we contacted Sprinkler Warehouse because as the shipper they are the only ones that can get a proof of delivery from FedEx. What they gave us as POD was a joke! And they adamantly refused to refund us! They said it was delivered and they wouldn't do anything about it. Seriously! If you are a DIYer this is the place for you. Needed to locate all the valves for our 20+ year old sprinkler system so found this place and was able to rent a machine for 48 hours to help us do the locating. Picked up the machine on Friday and because they are closed on the weekend return day was a Tuesday. The machine worked and we were able to locate all 10 valves for our system. Pick up was easy as was returning the machine. We have also used this place to order online and get items delivered to us. read more

I ordered through Amazon. Amazon has options for ordering "New" and "Like New". I ordered a new item, for $248 plus taxes. When it arrived I opened the outer box to find the item packaging had been opened and resealed. So what I had did not look new at this point. Someone had it before me. I looked in side and found dust on the outlet transformer. Such things don't get dusty while in the box. Inside the main unit, the proprietary battery pack was installed and there were many finger prints. Side Note: Would you accept a device with already installed battery pack? The pack is proprietary and they cost $20 to buy from the manufacturer. I sent it back the next day using the Amazon label for tracking, dropping it off at UPS. I watched as UPS sealed the box and applied the label. They initially wanted $1.68 for printing the label. I said if they charged me I would ask Amazon to pay me back, and they waived it. The seller, Sprinkler Warehouse, of Katy TX, has the tracking showing I dropped it off. It also shows it weighs 3 lbs. Two problems: 1) They want to wait and hold onto my money until they receive it back. I understand some people are fraudsters, but the only dishonesty here in my view is shipping an item for "new" when it is not as it was when the manufacturer delivered it to them. 2) I sent them quality pictures of the problem. They could have said it was a mistake, refunded straight away or offered a replacement. Instead, they tried to say it is new, and it's acceptable to sell items like this as "new". The conversation even involved them suggesting it was like buying a car someone else had a test drive in. Well I'm sorry but it is not like that. Both Amazon and the seller would not refund until the item they sent me as new was back in their actual possession. It was not the new item I ordered. And they did not accept responsibility but said it was ok to resell items for full price as "New" - that's the point here, if you want to sell previously sold, returned goods, you should list them "As new" or "Like new" (which Amazon does have a listed price for on this actual item) So, buyer beware. Do not buy from this company! I spent over 200.00 on an order. This included two rolls of wire. One of the rolls was not wrapped. Not even taped. How do I know this wasn't a full roll. I also ordered 1 1/4" clamps, thinking that would be the max size. They sent clamps that were for max size of 1 3/4". Everything was shipped in one box causing the smaller items to come out of their packaging. Horrible customer service. They charge a restocking fee and I would have to pay shipping to return. read more

As far as having someone available for technical service, it's non-existent. I've been on hold for at least 10 minutes two times back-to-back. Bought some sprinkler heads but did not install them immediately. Found two of them to be defective. Initially contacted them about a month later. Reached out again and was told I needed to have contacted them within a few weeks to have them deal with it. At this point I need to pay shipping to and from for warranty work. Not worth it. Following a freeze in Missouri City TX our Pressure Vacuum Breaker cracked because of water that was not purged from the housing. I went on You Tube to find a method to repair the unit myself and behold, a presentation by Sprinkler Warehouse provided an excellent overview on the hardware and process for Pressure Vacuum Breaker replacement and protection steps to prevent another cracked unit. The exclusive purpose for me purchasing these pumps as to remove water and expel that water; however these pumps do not hold the water until you engage the pump handle and instead the water runs out. I reached out to Sprinkler Warehouse for clarification and they even confirmed the expected use and mechanics of these pumps however advised that the rubber washer might not be installed properly. Upon further inspection, the plastic tube for both pumps i purchased are slightly bent--perhaps from heat or how they were stored. I attempted to return and explained the defective nature of the item and they denied the return citing their terms and conditions without further explanation. I assume they denied the return because the item was considered used; however used one time and confirmed as defective. Even in new condition, Sprinkler Warehouse's "easy return policy" is anything BUT easy. You complete a return request and wait for their response which requires an addition email for further instructions. You are required to pay for return shipping however that not it. They charge a 20% restocking fee and deduct their original shipping costs. Bottom line, if you receive a defective or unusable item, you'll still end up paying a significant portion to return the item if they even accept the return. Unless Sprinkler Warehouse is the only place to purchase these items which is doubtful--I would highly recommend buying these items from Amazon or other similar retailers and avoiding this seller. I tried ti support a local--non Amazon Giant Retail business and paid the price. Would never unless absolutely necessary do business with this retailer again. Deplorable customer service and it's not like their prices are the most competitive. read more

Apparently this company has been hit hard by COVID, as response is non-existent at this point. Order arrived incomplete and one of the valves was broken. Email sent 17May was finally answered 25May with a promise to ship replacements, a month and 3 followups later, still no package and no response. Hate to kick somebody when they are down, but please at least put some kind of banner on the website to inform people. I ordered a new Irritrol RD-600-EXT-R sprinkler controller from Sprinkler Warehouse and was concerned about the 5 year warranty. They let me know the unit was manufactured on 03-19-2022 so it still had 58 months of the 60-month warranty. It arrived a week ago (much sooner than scheduled) and I installed it today. No issues. The last one lasted 20 years. I had ordered a new one off of a seller on eBay who said the unit was new but it was nearly 3-1/2 years old so I returned it. If this one last 20 years that will be great. I too found the review of the VPB useful and I noted when I replaced mine last weekend that the key is to make sure the 2nd rung of the spring is below the poppet so when the spring is compressed the unit will not leak. read more

Not sure why the bad shipping reviews are below, but it almost made me second guess my order. I decided to give them a call just to verify who, what, where and how. Glad I did, the customer service rep that answered was patient, knowledgeable and laid any concerns I had to rest about shipping and returns. I was placing a large order with over 400 items, an expensive job, and a lot of money riding on it. They shipped exactly when they said they would and all but one of my items was in stock and shipped the same day. My suggestion to those having problems with shipping: call after you place an order to ensure all your items are in fact in stock, one item can hold up the whole order. The customer service rep said "we like to ship everything all at once, and we will wait on this item to come back in stock then ship". I asked them to drop the back-ordered item and my order shipped that day and arrived 3 states away 4 days later. Try them out, call them if you have concerns, I saved almost $700 going with these guys vs big box stores. read more

I have tried for four days sitting on the phone up to one hour with no answer. Even on those occasions where it said I was first in line I waited 45 minutes with no answer . Wish I had read recent reviews before ordering- looks like my experience is far from unique. Seems like a previously good company that has tanked. Was initially drawn in by the prices - which seemed competitive. TIMELINE: 06/19/2020 My order of 3x valves shipped the same day it was ordered and arrived 4 days later (06/23/2020). Strong start. Cost: $53.49 + 16.07 S/H + 4.95 tax = $74.51 But that's the end of anything positive. The valves arrived in a bubble mailer bag with minimal packing - clearly had been banged around and together. They also omitted 2 handles for the valves (everywhere else they are sold with knob included). *Looks like this same lack of care has happened to others per Yelp reviews. 06/23/2020 Emailed customer service re missing control knobs 6/26/2020 Emailed customer service again re missing control knobs (2nd attempt). 06/29/2020 Emailed customer service again re missing control knobs (3rd attempt). 06/30/2020 Called customer service. They had received emails. Intentionally only send one control knob when multiple valves of same type are ordered. But they will send the 2 additional knobs out. (These were never received). Eventually gave up on the knobs and took the valves up to our cabin to install. Found that they leaked/did not fully shutoff. Unclear as to cause, but were not functioning reliably despite having bought heavy duty valves. Suspect that they were damaged in shipping from lack of packing/care. 08/03/2020 Email customer service re defective valves requesting refund 08/06/2020 Call customer service re return of defective valves. They had received email. They will issue an RMA via email and we should send back. Claim we are JUST within their 60 day return window- what a joke. 08/10/2020 Tracking shows they received the return. 08/12/2020 Email to customer service requesting status of the refund. (no reply). 08/13/2020 Called customer service. Unaware it has arrived. Person responsible for price matching/exchange policies is out of the office for the week so that isn't an option. 08/14/2020 *Refund is credited back to the credit card but no notice of this nor explanation of amount. 08/26/2020 Email customer service regarding status. They reply same day that the refund was issued 08/14 and a non-itemized invoice showing a $46.74 credit with no explanation. I'm assuming they charged us a 20% "restocking fee" on the defective items. BOTTOM LINE: Huge waste of time and energy dealing with this company and TERRIBLE customer service. They seem to actively ignore communications that they don't want to deal with and cut any corner they can. I don't recommend this company. I bought a fertilizer injection system from them and received it promptly. However, there were no instructions with the product and there were a number of installation steps that weren't mentioned in the description online. When I tried to get support, they never answered the phone or my emails. I was able to finally reach someone through online chat, but then they never followed up on our conversation with the info they had promised. They did waive the restocking fee since they were unable to help me resolve the issues with the product. However, my client has been waiting for over a month for their product, and I'm out the cost of returning the item. In short, customer service for this company is TERRIBLE!!! read more

Spoke to sales rep about irrigation valves. Was told that an auxiliary "handle" that used to come with each valve was now reduced to one handle per order. ok with me. Get the order and no handle. Parts appear to be fine (aside from the missing handle) and the shipping was fast. So, if the illustration of your part is what you want, go for it. While I was happy to find a product to repair the spin down filter on my irrigation system, the product that arrived did not fit. The return policy for this company is one of the least friendly I have seen anywhere. Unlike Amazon which covers free return shipping, this company makes returns a profit center by first charging you for return shipping, then deducting a 20% restocking fee and then reducing the refund by the cost of the initial shipping that the customer paid! Buyer beware. I paid extra to have my order prioritized early in the day. They show you how long you have to place an order for it to ship same day, and I was many hours ahead of that. I did not see a shipping notice as the day was ending, so I contacted them. They told me one single item was on back order, so they wouldnt be shipping it out for a couple of weeks. So to be clear, I paid extra for it to be dealt with urgently, and expected it to ship out same day. They didnt even bother to contact me to let me know that it was going to now be a couple of weeks. I asked if they could send everything else, and then ship the single back ordered item once they get it. They said they could not. So I asked to cancel the entire order; to which they quickly agreed to ship everything they had and send the missing part later. No refund on my order priority payment. They did send me everything in the order, so thats the only thing to their credit. But now we are at the point where one of the rotors I bought stopped functioning. I ordered over 30 of them, and only one is bad. Well buyer beware, they require you to pay shipping both directions for a warranty replacement. This device is only a month old, and is warranted for a year. However, its only a $10 part. So its more expensive to pay to ship it both ways than it is to just buy another. I found a place close to my house that has all the same products these guys have, and their pricing is actually better. They wholesale to irrigation professionals, so they have anything I could ever need. They're easier to deal with, cheaper, and if I need to replace something I can just walk in. This one large order from Sprinkler Warehouse is definitely going to be my last. If you are considering using them I highly recommend finding a place local to you instead. read more

I received one order successfully but my second did not arrive even though USPS tracking said it was delivered. I tried emailing SW three times with no answer. My part is literally less than $1 (plastic nozzle insert), and I paid for expedited shipping. There is no phone number listed even though there is a section labeled "call us", and the chat window never has anyone attending. Their prices and selection is good. The service is HORRID. Some of the WORST I've ever experienced. Trying to reach customer service is a nightmare, often hold times exceed 45+ minutes. And when you do finally reach someone, their phone connections are so bad you can not understand anything they are saying. They also frequently give wrong information to your questions, causing you to order items that won't work with your system or are completely redundant and not needed at all. Then when you need to return those items their policy is a 20% 'restocking fee' that you have to stand your ground to get out of. Placed an order for sprinkler heads on 6/15. Website said 'in stock' and phone hold message says 'orders placed before 4:30 CDT are shipped same day.' According to confirmation email from them my order was received at 2:36:05. Today is 6/17 and order still not shipped. Waited another 35 minutes on hold to inquire: "Oh we are out of stock on those" This company sucks. Since I don't receive mail at my address it was returned from them. After spending over an hour on their chat (phone was busy) they agreed to ship the order out to me fedex. Instead they refunded me for the parts but not the shipping. In fact they increased the shipping charges. They agreed to refund my shipping charges after 2 more phone calls.
