Ask the Community - Square Works Pizza Lab

Where do I find the menu for pizza ingredients? I want to call in an order, swing by, and take it from your laboratory to North Roseville, beyond your delivery radius on Sunday, May 10 (MOTHER'S DAY) about 6 p.m. Will that work for you?

Hi there. Square Works is temporarily closed while we find a permanent space. We did our test at sette pasta house and it was a huge success. Stay tuned!

How much are your pizzas and do you deliver to North Highlands, California and how many people one pizza serve?

Hi Cynthia. We deliver in a 7 mile radius. you can try to order online and see if the delivery will be accepted. one pizza and a salad usually feeds 2 people comfortably. Thank you

The meatballs were tender and flavorful. But I prefer a softer meatball personally. The mushroom risotto was creamy. For the main dish, I went with the Frutti di Mare al Forno. It was packed with seafood and paired beautifully with the pasta.

Some food memories stick with you. Not just the "that was good" kind... I'm talking about the kind…read morethat randomly pops into your head weeks later like, "man... those meatballs though." That was exactly what happened after my first visit here. Those meatballs lived rent-free in my brain, so coming back was an easy call. Earlier in the day we took a nice walk around Folsom Lake with some friends. Fresh air, good conversation, and by the time we wrapped up everyone had that universal look of "okay... where are we eating?" As we drove back and passed Dominick's it was one of those moments where the decision basically made itself. I was like yep... this is happening. Pulling up I noticed the line was out the door, which honestly is the Italian restaurant version of a five-star Yelp wink. A line like that usually means something good is happening inside. The place itself has a great vibe and you can tell people genuinely love this spot. While waiting I looked around the shop area and noticed they have wines available for purchase. One bottle caught my eye immediately... a 100-point rated wine. For anyone who knows wine, that's basically the culinary equivalent of a mic drop. A perfect score from top critics is rare air. Naturally I did what any responsible food lover would do... I snagged it. A 2020 Super Tuscan that felt like finding hidden treasure on a shelf. The young lady behind the counter was an absolute delight. Super friendly, welcoming, and she even laughed at one of my dad jokes... which means either it was actually funny or she deserves an Oscar. Either way, great hospitality all around. The food came out and the table looked like a proper Italian feast. We had the meatballs, calzones, a chicken panini, and the coleslaw salad. My friends were loving everything. Plates were disappearing fast which is always a good sign. Now for the moment I had been waiting for... the meatballs. They were still good, but they didn't quite pop the way they did in my memory. You know that nostalgic flavor that takes you right back to the first bite you ever had? That lightning bolt moment? I was hoping for that same flavor encore. This time it felt more like the band playing an acoustic version of the hit song. Still enjoyable... just missing a little of that original fireworks. But hey, every great restaurant gets an off day, and honestly the overall experience was still a great stop. Good food, great hospitality, and a place that clearly has a loyal following. And those meatballs? I'm confident they'll make their comeback tour. When they do... best believe I'll be back for the encore.

Mountain Mike's is one of the, if not the best pizzas I've ever had. We live in Texas. My wife is from California, so this Texan is forced to return to California every few years. The good news is I get to have Mountain Mike's Pizza. We were camping at nearby Folsom Lake, and Mountain Mike's was just 1.5 miles away. The pizza was awesome as I remember. Even met and had a nice conversation with the owner, Robin. One gripe, the price. Two small 4-topping pizzas, one salad, one beer, and one Pepsi: $68. Welcome back to California. If I lived here, I'd leave...lol. Thank God I don't live here. Also, we now have about 13 Mountain Mike's Pizza shops in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area, which is only a couple hour drive from our home in Tyler, Texas. Now, if we could get Togos.

I walk in, and the place is completely empty at dinner time on a Monday. Every employee looked surprised I was even there. This place SCREAMS money laundering or something. The bathroom was fully out of order as well. Service and timeliness were good, and the pepperoni pizza was good too. I ordered some "not knots" for $9!!!, and I got these sad deflated balls of flavorless dough. The box felt empty when it was handed to me, and I almost sent it back but said screw it for the review. One of the worst items I've ever had from a pizza restaurant. I included an image of what they were supposed to look like for comparison. I do not recommend this location. Will not be back.

Ingredients are fresh and piled high, perfect cheese pulls, and zesty tomato sauce. I also appreciate that the bacon bits here are not from a wholesale bag. They are fried and cut fresh! The only downside is that wait for pizza can take a while sometimes but they are great about serving everything steaming hot once it's ready. I am happy to keep supporting this excellent local pizzeria!

I've been going here for over 20 years. It was my only go to place in Folsom. I would bring all out…read moreof town visitors. My last 3 visits have gotten progressively worse. 1 visit 2 months ago. I ordered my usual garlic chips and antipasto salad with their wonderful Italian dressing. The chips were subpar almost tasteless but the salad was good. 2nd visit 1 month ago. The wait for food took along time considering it was peak lunch time and the restaurant only had 4 other tables occupied. I ordered my usual with a friend. Salads were great garlic chips all dried out seemed like maybe microwaved left overs. We only maybe had one or two pieces . I did call to speak to a manager the following day just to informed of our disappointment. He only made excuses which is a-shame. I guess I'm a glutton for punishment because my sister-in-law came over on Monday 1/19/2026 I suggested going to pizzeria Classico . Let's try it again. We went around 12. There was maybe five tables, including ours. My sister-in-law was craving spaghetti and I said it had to be good here even though I've never had it before. I ordered garlic chips and my salad. Let's start with the garlic chips. They were a little fresher than the last ones but tasteless again I don't know if they're cutting back and getting cheaper cheese or what they're doing that's different but it was not good. Usually I can eat a whole pan by myself. I think I ate two pieces. My sister-in-laws pasta on the other hand was horrific. It was a pile of spaghetti, I don't know what kind of noodles they were, but they were kind of thick and all stuck together with what appeared to be a can of watery chopped tomatoes, very sparingly put on top and the meatballs were also thrown on top. They were fairly good size which was nice but they were very over cooked. No sauce at all. I did not try them. My sister-in-law took a bite of one and said it was so dried up, she could barely swallow it. We set them on the edge of the table the waitress never came back to the table. My sister-in-law will eat any kind of pasta and she couldn't even take a second bite of this. I'm sorry to say. The topper, my salad with Italian dressing that (I love ) they ran out of the dressing at 12:15. What is that all about? I tried it with balsamic no not the same. Tried it with thousand island no not the same extremely disappointing! I do have to mention that it is a pizzeria place and they do have good pizza but I haven't had any in a couple years so I cannot testify to them. The garlic chips are supposed to be well-known and delicious and again totally tasteless. To sum up, my salad was hardly eaten the garlics chips barely touched and my sister-in-law only ate a piece of garlic toast. I really wish I would've taken pictures.
