I had my first Mountain Mike's Pizza when I was stationed in Sacramento while in the Air Force in the late 90's. Absolutely loved it. I am a huge pizza lover, could eat it every day. Mountain Mike's is one of the, if not the best pizzas I've ever had. We live in Texas. My wife is from California, so this Texan is forced to return to California every few years. The good news is I get to have Mountain Mike's Pizza. We were camping at nearby Folsom Lake, and Mountain Mike's was just 1.5 miles away. The pizza was awesome as I remember. Even met and had a nice conversation with the owner, Robin. One gripe, the price. Two small 4-topping pizzas, one salad, one beer, and one Pepsi: $68. Welcome back to California. Three words to anyone looking to visit the Granite Bay Mountain Mikes... GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!! Salad bar was pitiful. Every dressing was congealed on the edges, mushrooms were slimy and rotting, cucumbers slimy and old, baby carrots dry as can be.. just about every ingredient in the salad bar was way past needing to be replaced. Burnt the only thing I ordered which was a mini pizza, my toddler niece could have cut it into more even pieces. Asked for a single ranch togo and they said they would have to charge me. Asked for extra red pepper flakes and Parmesan and the cheapskate would only give me one more of each. Restaurant ran by stingy staff with absolutely zero concern for food safety and the health of their customers. I should have taken pictures of the salad bar but just wanted to get out of there. Inside was drab, gross bathrooms needing to be repainted, sketchy vibes. Will never visit again. Blegh. read more

I want to know how to contact someone regarding my order. I picked up two pizzas tonight and I was mortified when I saw them. It wasn't until my guests had already started eating that I saw the pizzas. So awful and so embarrassing. This was my second time ordering from Granite Bay Store. The renovations made the seating area comfortable and hospitable and the pizza was delicious! This also happens to be my favorite Friday night pizza go to before we head to Lake Folsom! Ordered a large and a small pizza, 6 wings, 2 fountain drinks and an "all you can eat buffet" salad. Spent $96 after the tip. The lady tried to charge extra for the salad dressing and when I asked why she could not answer. The large pizza alone was $46. It was the smallest, thinnest large pizza I have ever seen. The salad bar was awful. Veggies were rotten. Cucumbers rotten,broccoli has bad spots. The yellow pepperchinis (however those are spelled) had nats on them. The potato salad had a very bad taste. It was disappointing because the old salad bar from the previous owners was good! I wasn't about to complain because we were the only people there eating. Came here for the lunch special. Where to begin, the salad bar looks like it belongs in a gas station. Brown uncared for lettuce, veggies out of a can. I took one bite and it tasted horrible. It had this sour flavor like it had spoiled. The pizza was one singular combo pizza that looked like it had been under a hot lamp since yesterday. That too tasted horrible. My personal pizza for pickup was not ready on time. I waited an extra 15 minutes. Then, when I received it, it was burnt and super tiny. It looked like it was made for elves (see photo). Came here to pick up pizzas while visiting family. We were taking it back to their place. They suggested this place. Service was good but the cost of their pizza was not. Their large wasn't that big but they don't offer an extra large, instead a monster size at the cost of $50-$60! Our 2 larges cost $36 & $28. They cut the pizza in party size slices which makes it seem like more but not really. However, with that said, I actually like the party size since I have 2 people who are small eaters. We waited 20 minutes for our pizza. There was no other people there. A few people came in for their carry outs. We took a seat and waited while having a beer. The place was clean. Pizza itself was really good. Not the best I've tried for that price. I had pizza 2 days before but their large carry out cost $20. Pizza was just as good. You can decide for that price. You know what word comes to mind when I think of this place? SHADY! Last time I ordered, I asked about their specials and the guy on the phone told me there were none. I ordered and picked up my pizza to find the guy in front of me asking about specials and I see the specials sign! WTH... I complained and they gave me a "credit" for my overcharged amount of $11 for my next use. I ordered a pizza today and was told I can't use my credit towards any specials! Omg...so I have to pay full price for something to use the credit I got from being overcharged...ironic much? When I arrived, none of the three workers had masks on. Only when I got right up to the counter did the female cashier put on her mask. The two guys in the back in my photo did not wear a mask while making pizza. I'm pretty sure CA guidelines require restaurant workers to wear masks...we are in the middle of a pandemic people and I do not want you to breathe or sneeze or cough on my food!! Seems reasonable enough. In general, their service sucks. They let the phone ring and ring and ring and sometimes it just hangs up before anyone even says hello. This place used to be good. They had daily specials and great customer service. I actually go nearly once a week but that may stop. Yesterday was interesting. When I ordered, in person, around 7:15 everything was okay, then when I returned to pick up at 7:30 this guy was counting out the register or doing something where he was using a calculator/phone or something while shuffling through receipts. This was at the front counter, he didn't look up once while other workers stood behind him. After about 30 sec I asked could I get my pizza. He glanced up and said, "oh, could you get his pizza, he already paid" the worker who got it left it on the counter right next to him. I waited for a bit while my pizza sat right next to him. I then said, "Can I get my pizza?" He was like, "oh here you go" and handed me the box. He was the person who took my order originally and when I asked him if I could get the ranch, that I was required to pay for, he was like, "oh yah, someone get him some ranch" they proceeded to give me 2 ranches when I had paid for 5. I said, "could I get the other ranches you had me pay for, I paid for 5" Not looking up once he said to another worker, "get him the ranches, don't worry he paid for them" Not once did he even look up from what he was doing. That's how I could get this picture without him even realizing while standing right in front of him. This was about the most ridiculous interaction I have had at any establishment. This store is run by a staff of teens who could care less about the customers. They're on their cell phones constantly & the food came out (pizza & wings) burnt to a near crisp. $70 to feed my family burnt food? No thank you. We'll never spend another dime here. This will be the last time at this location. We've had difficulties before but today sealed it. We ordered over the phone at 4:51. Not a busy time for most restaurants. We got hung up on and then held for an extended wait when we called back. We ordered a half Pikes Peak and half Snowy Alps. The employee could'nt get the order straight. He kept repeating half Pikes and half Combination. My wife corrected him until he seemed to get it. We got to the restaurant and waited for the pizza. No big deal. While waiting, the counter worker told another customer they're pizza was made wrong and would be remade. The pizza we got was half Pikes and half Combo. They said they would remake it. At 5:55 we walked out with our pizza. 1 hour for "fast" food. We'll try another Mountain Mike's. read more

I'm all for supporting family-run businesses but this place is gross. They are renovating the restaurant and are operating it during the construction. They have done such a visibly poor job keeping the construction debris out of the food preparation areas. There are Parmesan cheese shakers sitting on the shelves covered with dust, like they are going straight back on the tables as soon as the building is done. The drink taps aren't even covered in the construction area. The toppings for frozen yogurt are still sitting out. They have about 1,000 take out pizza boxes that they didn't even try to protect. Don't waist your money supporting this business. The owner is extremely rude. I walked in to pick up an order which the owner was standing behind the counter trying to fix his POS system. I let him know I was there to pick up my order, he looked at me and said "someone else can help you" with a nasty attitude and went back trying to fix his system. The problem I have is no one else was around to help me... so I waited for 2-3 minutes until a sweet young girl came from the back to ask if she could help me. In the restaurant industry you sometimes can't control things, but one thing you can control is the customer service aspect especially from the owner. Being rude will not get you far. If it was not the owner I had an encounter with I highly recommend the owners to be a bit more aware of how their employees are treating their customers. read more

I'm not sure if this is standard for all locations, but the medium "12 slice" pizza is actually really small. Each slice was half the size of my hand. Fortunately, the pizza was good. However, this was as good as it gets. I ordered chicken wings that came to me completely burnt and stuck to the cardboard case. It was completely inedible. On top of that, they forgot the sauces I had ordered as well. The Garlic Not Knots were just okay. They were very flat and tough to bite into. Mountain Mikes has delicious pizza but this location is the wort. Its clearly ran by a bunch of disrespectful little kids. I ordered 3 personal pizza and garlic knots for delivery. The pizza arrived 30 minutes later than promised. What was delivered was inedible. Burnt, rock solid and cold. You couldn't even bite into it. Not to mention personal size was smaller than my hand (less than 4 inches in diameter). Absolutely ridiculous for $50. I immediately called but was give the run around by the little twerps working. Never again... If your idea of a fun time is having an owner embarrass you in front of your kids over a mistake HE made, then this is your place. Take a look at the coupon attached. Clearly it says the lucky kid gets a free personal pizza, and the parents get 25% off their pizza order. Great! We placed the order ahead of time, and upon arrival we presented the coupon and were ready to pay. However, the owner said the coupon was supposed to have an OR on it. One offer or the other. What?!?! Why would I pay full price for my pizza when there are TONS of coupons available? The coupon clearly says 25% off the parents' order! But he said he wrote the coupon, and it was "supposed" to be OR. Round and round we went. Kids getting upset. Parents upset. A pleasant time it was not. Food was good, but why give money to a place that behaves that way? I coach, and had an end of season party here once before. Won't do that again. We won't be back for any reason, ever. Since we moved to GB, we have been regulars at this Mountain Mike's location with Friday pizza night. We also enjoyed the ability to have yogurt after dinner or after a sporting event. Unfortunately, we won't be supporting this local business any longer. From my observations, this restaurant for weeks now has taken NO precautions to protect its customers by the simple act of having employees wearing masks. There are a very few restaurants that refuse to take this precaution (the rest of GB seems to be on board) and from my experience, this remains one of them. If a local business cannot protect its customers (AND its employees) by requiring or providing masks for its employees, it will not have our business. Do your part GB Mountain Mike's. Follow the CDC and OSHA guidelines and CA requirements: wear masks. It is places like this that I partly blame for our continued increase in cases - we all want to go back to some sense of normalcy and businesses in GB need to do their part to help the community achieve that. read more

Poor service while waiting for for a $40 takeout pizza. After over 30 minutes of being the only customers in the store, we finally asked what was taking so long....Somehow they had the pizza sitting in the back in a box, no apology, just blamed it on being mislabeled.
