It's so rich and comforting, the fish is always perfectly cooked, and it's more than enough food for two people. Be sure to order a side of seaweed and make your own hand rolls at the table. On weekends, expect to wait at least an hour. Luckily, there are plenty of bars nearby to kill time. Death & Co is right next door if you're in the mood for unique cocktails, and EightyTwo is a short walk away for more budget-friendly drinks. Parking is easy enough since there are lots all around, but prices vary. I still haven't found the best deal - the one I used was $10/hour. Seating is limited and bar-top style, so it can feel pretty tight. The stools aren't the most comfortable either, so don't be surprised if you accidentally elbow your neighbor. I recommend ordering one of the handroll sets. My favorites are the yellowtail and albacore handrolls. The yellowtail sashimi is good too, but I actually prefer it as a handroll. You also can't go wrong with the rock shrimp tempura as an appetizer.

The ankimo that wasn't touched by me I asked her if I should give to my peers instead of throwing the handroll in the trash. She said yes. After my 5th roll they asked if we want to order anything else. I said I am still missing one roll. And she said you had 5 and the ankimo. I said I didn't eat the ankimo. And she said your friends did .... So she charged me the extra one that was going to the trash because I didn't want to waste food ... Throughout our conversation, it was not confirmed that the handroll I gave to my friend was supposed to be a part of the six hand rolls upgrade that the manager had offered me. The only thing I didn't like is the 4% service charge they added to cover for the medical expenses of their team. And mind you, this 4% also gets taxed! So you're really paying an additional over 4% more (4% + 9.75% of that 4%). They said you can have it taken out and this is not gratuity. I''d rather be generous with gratuity especially if the service was good than help pay for benefits that I think should be the employer's responsibility. Until I am comfortable asking our nice server to have it taken out, which I probably won't, I most likely won't be back! So the low 3-star rating is because of this. Everything else is good.
