When I got home I found the crust very burned, charred to the point where we couldn't eat it. I live too far away to return it so we ended up throwing it out. For more than a year, St Francis has been our favorite take home pizza in Cincy! Love the crust and the super fresh local ingredients!! They also make seasonal specials which are incredible! We hope they bring back their version of the Hawaiian, with roasted pineapple. The desserts that we have tried have been really delicious too! When they started out they had a small oven and didn't have the ability to make very many pizzas, so they would get sold out regularly. Hyde Park Apizza home of the twelve dollar salad with giant whole leaves of romaine, flavorless croutons, refrigerator parmesan fodder, and dressing that I cannot even review because there was so little to go around. The best thing about the pizza is the dough, it's nice and airy and has a little chew to it. Now the rest of the pizza is woefully bland. My disappointment is only compounded by the fact you can practically taste the flavor of each pizza bursting out of your eyes with each description but I had to go raid my pantry for salt and garlic to even taste anything. read more

The best pizza in Cincy. They are aiming to be a NYC/New Haven style pie and while I think it favors New Haven it's a great pie whether you agree or disagree. We had the plain pie, new Richmond and the margharita for four people. Each ranked them differently but loved all three. Garden and Caesar Salads did not disappoint either. No place to sit so we went up the hill and had a picnic at the observatory hill. Glad there was no seating. It pushed us to get outside and enjoy a unique view. Locally sourced. Friendly helpful staff. You can tell they are enjoying and feel valued in their work. It was encouraging as a business owner to see this. I held my review after a few orders for consistency. We first ordered when they were in the wine shop and although good the pizzas were so small for the price the value was not there. Now, after a couple more orders from their new place I have to say the pizza is awesome. The dough is great, light and airy. The sauce is the way a Neapolitan sauce should be. We love that the ingredients are homemade, locally sourced and it's family owned. That is epic in our book. Everything is so fresh, and packed full of flavor. We ordered two of the signature pies. The spicy pie and the sausage and peppers. First, I LOVE that this pie is OLD SCHOOL. Large. With the proper amount of high quality toppings expertly distributed. No cheap gangster moves like an enormous pillow of crust, and little to no toppings. Ezzo pepperoni is the brand, and they're out of Columbus. Well known, and of EXQUISITE quality. Kudos for choosing them St. Francis! Perfect crispy edges on those pepperonis. Homemade sausage and it's sublime. Perfect grind, and good fennel flavor. Again, the details. I usually don't care for pizza sauce. Always flavorless and runny, or sweet and unappealing. Disgusting. This red sauce is so fresh, a bit chunky and allows you to appreciate the olive oil. And the application is on point.The char on the crust, is excellent. Done so well, and the undercarriage is perfect. The pizza slice has " bite." No undercooked floppy mess.
