You have to order inside and then head to a table with your number and the servers will bring it to you. With a party of 5, our food came out in good time and we got an array of items-- from a breakfast croissant sandwich to little pastries, everything was wonderful. Most of us ended up trying their seasonal matcha drink which was a linzer matcha that came with black cherry and a pistachio cold foam. It has a specific taste but I liked it a lot! It's not a mix of flavors I'd normally think of but I ended up finishing my drink which I don't always do, even with matcha drinks. The croissants & bread were fresh and each dish was beautifully plated. I love a dish that both looks good and tastes good and it delivered both. The outdoor patio is covered and a great spot to enjoy your meal if the weather is beautiful and breezy which is was the day we dined here. The inside is also such a cute vibe. Such a great spot and will definitely be back if I'm in the area!

The pimento cheese was a nice alternative, not offered at most breakfast places on a sandwich. I could eat this once a week! The Island girl coffee was perfect. All my favorite flavors in a coffee. It's the kind of coffee shop where you can grab a great cup of coffee, sit down for a bit, and actually enjoy the atmosphere. The space feels modern but relaxed, making it a nice spot whether you're meeting a friend, catching up on some work, or just taking a break from the day. The coffee here is excellent. You can tell they take their beans and roasting seriously. The espresso drinks are smooth, rich, and full of flavor without being overly bitter. They also have a nice selection of specialty drinks if you're in the mood to try something a little different. They offer a good variety of breakfast items and pastries as well, which pair perfectly with the coffee. Everything tastes fresh and well prepared--simple but done right. Another thing I appreciated was the friendly service. The staff is welcoming and efficient, and the overall energy of the place feels very positive. It's also convenient that they have a drive-thru if you're in a hurry. All in all, Brass Tacks Coffee is one of those local spots that keeps people coming back. Great coffee, good food, and a relaxed environment make it an easy recommendation if you're in the Jacksonville Southside area.

Yes to all the carbs in this bakehouse!…read more I was in town for a work event and we decided to grab a bite from here since Gabi recommended. It DID NOT disappoint. A cute little spot with a lot of specialized baked goods that will make you want to get one of everything. The service was super friendly and helpful. We ended up getting a few of the baked goods to share for breakfast and I got the matcha lemonade. The lemonade was a good change of pace from my usual matcha latte. To share, we got the matcha cheesecake blueberries danish, the brie country ham and hot honey galette, and a ham and cheese croissant. Everything was delicious and devoured! The inside is also super cute to peruse around and maybe grab something. They have stickers, and a few odds and ends that might interest anyone to get at least one thing. My boyfriend ordered the brownie and it was probably the best brownie I've ever had. I also tried the chia pudding and it had a really good assortment of fruits. The location of this spot was peak. It's located near a skate store, a metaphysical store, and a wine bar. I wish I was local because I would definitely be a regular here. Everyone was so nice!!

The iced caramel latte was classic and delicious as well. The decor inside was like an European slash Middle Eastern vibe. I ended up relaxing, reading, and staying here for over an hour. It's an interesting environment. People drink beer at the outside tables and coffee at the inside tables. There is lots of comfy seating: tables, benches, couches, comfy chairs. And in the center is a huge TV where they play sports programming from their region. Pretty much all of the customers are Albanian, so you get some stairs coming in. The owner is cordial and makes your food/drinks quickly. I've actually never tried the food since I always come here full, but the coffee is good and reasonably priced.
