We went for wine tasting, but we thought $15 each for 5 tiny samples of wine with no choice of selection, was a bit steep. We chose instead, to try a glass from the bar menu. Better deal, and the bartender was a kick. It was nice talking to a local. We also tried the charcuterie board. It was excellent! The chutney, sauces, pickles, and dip along with breads, crackers and cheeses were a perfect light dinner for us. Please note: prices are quite a bit higher than the menuS shown on YELP. read more

Decent pizza. Wife had a wine slushy and she liked it. I just had a beer. Service was very slow but only due to the one server who also worked the bar. Not a lot of tables inside and not the best atmosphere but the server was friendly. I would come again if in the area and wanting pizza. read more

Today I discovered why I don't buy St. James wines. To be honest, there didn't seem to be a catalyst for my habitual boycott of St. James. Just some ethereal rule engrained into DNA like an eleventh commandment. "Thou shalt not buy St. James wine." But I like to tow the line and ask the really big questions that need to be asked. And also, we like wineries and wine tastings. Under any other circumstances, skimpy pours would never make it onto the daily list of things to be grateful for, but the greediness at St. James winery spared us excess exposure to atrocities like an overly acidic Norton and what was ostensibly a cherry moscato, although the latter summoned suspicions of water with a few drops of coloring. Literally everything we tasted was subpar and anemic at best, fetid at worst. Back to the portion size- granted, "a tasting" is subjective term, however most winery pours are adequate to feel like an exchange of goods and money occurred. We received 5 thimbles of really gross wine for FIFTEEN dollars. We tempted the knowledge of the universe and lost. Never again. read more

Terrible customer service. I came here with hubby and our two kids. The place was pretty chill, we waited a good 10 min. At least 2 workers saw us and neither one greeted or tried to help us. Stopped by because this is literally my favorite wine ever. We started by looking around their shop and ended up at their free wine tastings. They allow free wine tasting from open to close, paired with little snacks to compliment the 5 wines from their menu selection. They also have a badass little patio out back with yard and board games for you to use. We loved this place so much that we came back towards the end of our day to hang out on the patio. Our AMAZING waitress, Lorri, brought us a small sample of their wine slush of the day and menus to start. Two people in our party ordered the slushees and the sober driver got a beverage as well. The slushees were amazing, but once they were gone our waitress suggested another signature cocktail. I tried that as well and was not disappointed! We stayed until close and she was so sweet not to kick us out right away. They were offering a deal, buy 2 cocktails get an appetizer for free so we tried the Meatballs and they were so yummy! We went to 4 wineries today and this was my favorite. Great selection, unique flavors, cocktails and appetizers. We did a tasting and they give chocolate and crackers during the tasting as well as an off menu bonus pour. I got a wine slushie and we had meatballs and hummus and it was all so flavorful. They offer bottles of wine and cider as well as coolers, dry goods, and other various items in the store. read more

Gorgeous atmosphere. Outdoor dining is so peaceful... menu is limited I had the appetizer of meatballs-9- yes 9 it was a meal hubs had the st James pizza said it was good. We don't drink wine but the selection was large and appeared reasonably priced.. our two waitresses were attentive but not smothering. Really good wood fired pizza! We got a voucher from the cabins we stayed in and thought about not using it. But it was a rainy Sunday and we decided to order the pizza to go. So glad we did!!! My friends and I enjoyed our visit to St. James Winery. When we first got there, we did a wine tasting where we got to choose 5 wines off of their wine list. Each selection was delicious. The experience was made better thanks to our host who sadly I never got his name. He was funny and accommodating for the young one in our group by offering grape juice and chocolate so she could enjoy her experience as well. Their restaurant is on the other side of the wine tasting bar. We shared a bottle of wine and a charcuterie board that had a great mix of various meats and cheese. The only thumbs down I'd give is that one of the girls ordered a hot ham and cheese that looked like it could've used more time on the grill. It just didn't look very appetizing. Overall, this was a great experience and would be willing to do it again on the next visit. If you're looking for something relaxing to do, check this place out. read more

They fit us in for a tasting just after their tasting time closed, the manager herself offered to serve us. The staff was all very friendly, the wines were reasonable in price. However it's the most I have ever paid for a tasting, and I have done many across the country. But the service made it worth while. We purchased a case and got a bottle for free (they have several offers for a case purchase). The tasting does include complementary wine glasses if that is of interest. The ambiance is appropriate for a winery and the staff are proud of where they work and knowledgeable about their wine. I prefer dry reds and my husband sweets, he had a great selection and they don't add sugar. If you like a cab they have wines for you too, I prefer a merlot and theirs was ok. read more

I went to all the wineries here in Branson, and this one is my absolute favorite. Our wine tender J.C was knowledgeable and friendly, and gave us multiple suggestions about wines to taste based on our preferences, all of which were spot on. Free WiFi at the bar so I could write my reviews without busting through all my data (which my hotel doesn't even offer but that's another review). The wines were all delicious, but my favorites were the velvet oak (a fruit leaning red with a slight oak flavor- so smooth!) And the peach mango blended together- gives a lot of texture to the two wines. The bar offers cocktails mixed with their wines as well as more traditional bar drinks, and food items. They get busy, especially around the holidays, so get there early! read more

The quality of aforementioned was outstanding! Dear locals: put your pre-conceived thoughts of a regional winery aside. We've visited Napa, and this is a strong contender- in your backyard! We chose Chardonnay and found our selections crisp and clean. We tried the hibiscus app, pizza, and ahi tuna. I'm very picky about ahi. It was FRESH. Sadly, I spent waaaaay too much money there because I bought several bottles each visit! This was our second winery visit in the area. Before coming to Branson, I had no idea that there were wineries or vineyards in the area. This winery was nice; lots of great selections. When we arrived we were given a token to go to do a wine tasting. The girl who was leading our tasting was very knowledgeable and asked us questions about what we normally liked to help us find what we would enjoy. If there was a particular wine we chose and there was a special version of it she allowed us to also taste that. We also grabbed a bite to eat here and the food was pretty good! read more

First, I must say that our server, Andrea, was wonderful. The food was only average. And quite expensive. The wine was just ok. But the pours were nice. My husband and I both got flights. We just had lunch at the St James Winery. It's located in a lovely building and the service was friendly and attentive. My husband had the Delicatessen Board, which was a variety of deli meats, cheeses and crackers, just enough for one person and the Berry Infused tea. He enjoyed every bite. I had the Chicken Salad which was a generous salad, very good, and a red wine that was perfect with the flavors in the salad. We highly recommend this classy restaurant. read more
