Plenty of patient parking. Clean building/office. There are different departments in this building. Lots of patient seating area in Suite 200. Easy to check-in. Have to check in 15 min before appointment. And then wait 10-15 min after your appointment is when they call you. While the assistant takes your weight and do the health history questionnaire, you have to wait more time for the doctor to come in your room. Appointment at 11:40, came there 11:15, they called me 11:55 and then waited for doctor in the room for around 12:15. Bring your own water bottle; they don't have water fountains or water for patients to drink while you wait. They don't have walk ins for lab anymore. I fasted cuz I wanted to do lab after doctors appt. Have to be appointment only now. St. Jude providence sold their lab to LabCorp. read more

I really like st. Jude before, recently not su much and made me feel even stressed just to have appointments with them. This year, I changed my PCP from Jennifer Lu, MD to Angelina Sidharta MD. Since then, this becomes miserable experience with St.Jude. The 1st time, there's an opening and I scheduled appointments since my leg was in pain. That was happened on Friday and Monday I took day off since it was still in pain and Tuesday for doctor appointment. In the morning of the appointment, they called me if they need to cancel my appointment and reschedule. The been calling me since then to reschedule. How convenient for them! Today, they called me again. My husband and I have doctor appointments tomorrow and only within 24hrs they called and mentioned for my husband insurance if not assigned to Dr. Sidharta and need to reached if I don't have registrations changed notification from his insurance. I'm at work and this makes me crazy since I'm not able to work because of this whole situation. Only notified patient within 24hrs. How very convenient for them. The assistant name is Josiah, the one kept calling me. St. jude, I know you can do better. read more

St Jude Heritage in Brea is impossible to navigate. They are more concerned with the same monotonous questions than giving quality health care. I took over a year to inform me that I needed knee replacement. I was told by my first orthopedic doctor that I had a torn meniscus and nothing could be done.It wasn't till I saw Dr Solpour that I was told my torn meniscus was caused by severe arthritis and surgery will be needed for both knees! Terrible! Terrible! Providence is too big to accommodate good service. Tried to get appts for my mom and I so we could establish a new primary doctor. After calling the first 7 Doctors to see if any were taking new patients, I finally schedule with one. Even though it's almost two months away but I take it. Meanwhile next day I get a text message from Providence stating my physician has an earlier appt available and I claim it. Go to the office it's with a nurse not the Dr that I'm trying to establish a new Dr relationship with so I canceled. Made an appt for an annual physical. Staff mentioned nothing about fasting so I had to get bloodwork done on a different day at a different location. When the bloodwork came back, dr office said to schedule an appt and recommended a Telehealth visit. Not sure why I need to be present for dr comments when he can send messages via MyChart. After the copay , I waited 30 min and nobody joined the videocall. Called dr office but after 5pm they dont answer. I had to call urgent care who transferred me to the dr office. Only then did I get a call from dr office with message that he's busy. Frankly, I'm disappointed with the lack of communication considering there are so many options to contact patients. Funny part is they didnt forget to call 15 min prior to appt to collect payment. First impression was not good. Looking at past reviews, seems falling short of expectations is normal there. I came here recently for my annual checkup. My doctor just moved to this location in the last couple of months so this was my first visit here. This office is huge and seems very well run. As soon as I walked in, someone said hello and gave me some paperwork to fill out. There was plenty of seating, and I didn't wait very long before I saw my doctor. What's nice is that there's a lab here for blood work, and I was told there's even a radiology department. When I called here to make my appointment and later to get my X-ray results, the staff was really helpful here. The office was really clean and very efficient. Everything seemed new and very high tech. I even liked the art in the waiting area. St Jude Heritage Medical Group may be a bit of a drive for me, but the staff and office itself were both really pleasant. read more

No. You can do better. If you have something VERY obvious that they can SEE, they give you a drug and send you on your way. I've come here for the same still undiagnosed issue and been bounced around from here to there and to make a long story short, they will GUESS and apparently guess wrong and give you a drug and send you away rather than run a test. I literally had a doctor throw up his hands and tell me a basic exam was all he was allowed to do. A second dr verbally authorized a test finally but never put it in the computer and no one could find it when I called back to ask details. They acted as if I was asking them to for something I wasn't entitled to and the dr got really defensive as if I was making it up. I'm my case they've been guessing wrong for over a year now and their refusal to run any tests shows me this isn't the place for me and it should be for you or your family unless you need very, very, very basic health care. Went to see a Neurologist at HOAG and she looked at all my blood work done from a doctor in St. Jude... she asked me seriously if that particular doctor told me that I was low on sodium and on other things after giving blood and I told her "no" she told me right away to get a new doctor. First of all, it's not even easy to get an appt. Let alone get good advice on how to treat and relieve my chronic health issues and symptoms. The doctor I saw here only cared about the fact that I had changed my last name and asked me what foods would be helpful for me to eat... I say low class bias which should be PROFESSIONAL MEDICAL CARE... they deserve 0 stars. I had to force this doctor to give order me a MRI to get my head checked for my chronic issues. Honestly because of their lack in caring for patients needs I could possibly be diagnosed with cancer in the future and I'm afraid of that happening. read more

I have been with St. Jude Heritage Medical Group for many years. I have a daughter with chronic medical issues and, until now, I have never had a problem getting her the care she needs in a timely manner. Well, Ladies and Gentlemen, St. Jude Heritage Medical Group is under new Management. Providence ONLY cares about the bottom line and St. Jude is complying with their criminal (YES CRIMINAL!) behavior. My daughter needs a surgery for her survival. During one of her pre-operative tests, something was discovered that may require additional surgery. We decided to put the original surgery on hold for the results of the new issue so she could have only 1 surgery as opposed to 2 (reducing complications and risk). Since the original order in October, we have been fighting nothing but denial letters! Providence wants these tests done in-network...which would be fine, if the care could be provided in a timely manner. But it is not! Her life is in jeopardy and Providence/St. Jude can't see her until February / March and that's just for a consult!!! That is the soonest they can schedule URGENT patients!!! If we wait until then, she will die and both Providence and St. Jude does not care. They continue to deny all services, referencing Section III, Subsection Q, "out of network referrals are approved if there is an urgent need or if the care cannot be provided within our main network." Wouldn't an imminent threat to survival be cause for an urgent need? And, I'm sorry, if you cannot provide care within your main network in a reasonable amount of time, then YOU CANNOT PROVIDE CARE WITHIN YOUR MAIN NETWORK!!! So I filed an appeal and requested expedited review. Get this...they said my daughter wasn't eligible for expedited review because "An expedited grievance is only warranted for cases involving an imminent and serious threat to the health of the patient, including, but not limited to, severe pain, potential loss of life, limb, or major bodily function." Imminent and serious threat to the health of patient (STARVATION) and potential loss of a major bodily function (she cannot swallow - which is a bodily function crucial for survival!). When her very clear qualifications were brought to their attention, their response was "we'll make note of that." Additionally, she was denied nutritionist services and even denied anesthesia for an invasive procedure!!! If she doesn't survive this or is injured while waiting for Providence to get their sh*t together, I will pursue criminal charges, as they are contractually obligated to provide reasonable medical care and are refusing to do so, all in the name of PROFIT. These doctors need to be held accountable for their actions of medical malfeasance. Oh! And don't even get me started on the billing. They are denying payment for services they approved, passing a $13,500 balance to me!! If you're thinking of becoming a patient of St. Jude, RUN!!! Keep far away from any network that is affiliated with Providence. Seriously!! RUN!!! I hear Hoag Health gave Providence the boot because they wanted to hold on to their CORE VALUES IN SERVICING THEIR PATIENTS, which Providence tried to eliminate. Clearly St. Jude doesn't have that kind of respect for their patients to follow suit. Shameful! Clearly, Hoag would be the better option. read more

I've been calling since 8am. i'm hold for 30 mins already .. A lady answered and she tried to connect me to the doctor but i got disconnected.. Then a male answered.. I think his name is Ed.. He is very rude.. I think he doesn't want to answer any questions because he was trying to connect me right a way without wanting to answer my concern and doesn't even want to listen at all. At the end of the day i wasn't able to talk to my doctor or any of my doctors team. Very useless to call them.. Poor customer service.. My wife tried her luck and a certain sonia answered.. and also very rude and gang up the phone while my wife was still talking.... These people should not be answering phone calls .. They need training.. Your clinic are very nice but the people answering your phones are not trained and seems like they didn't want to be there..I feel bad because i like my doctor but what's the use if my message can't even reach her because of the people answering phones. read more

Dr. Liang is a great doctor, but the system is totally unsatisfactory. My primary care provider is in this medical group. I have an outstanding PPO plan but, this medical group operates more like Kaiser than a private doctors office. I was diagnosed with COVID and the urgent care doctor told me to follow up with my doctor so, I called and shared my diagnosis. Of course, I need to schedule an appointment with her but they tell me that she doesn't have an opening until next Tuesday. They don't offer another physician or take a message for her to get back to me, NOTHING. I am a 52 year old woman with a deadly virus and it doesn't warrant a phone call from a doctor. My husband's doctor called him after hours when she learned of MY positive COVID test and when she asked about my treatment plan, I had to say that I hadn't even heard from my doctor and I couldn't get an appointment. His doctor and her nurse have been calling to check on him daily. THAT is how a private doctor's office should work. They also put me through hell when my sciatica went out last year basically not offering pain meds and I couldn't walk for three weeks! Run from this place! I have been going to him for years and I will continue to recommend him. Since Provident Health took over, the cost cutting has wreaked havoc on the quality of service. The doctors are great, but there aren't enough of them, as corporate seem to be spending money on opening new offices. It is taking 3 months to get an appointment with specialists after the required referrals from our primary care physician. I have heard first hand of Doctors complaining about the refusal of management to give them the support staff they need as well. Come the end of the year, we plan on looking around for another, better health plan that puts patient service as a top priority. read more

This is a great place!!!!! the receptionists up front and medical staff in the back are wonderful!!!! Dr. Asif is friendly and took her time talking to me making sure she understood my needs answering all my questions. Finally a medical office that didn't rush thru my appointment. Usually patients get the feeling they are just "pushed thru" like cattle....not here!!! I was treated like an individual. I wish I knew the names of the specific woman that checked me in and the nurse/ medical assistant that helped me and the name of the phlebotomist he was amazing!!!!....but unfortunately I do not.... Great new facility from St Jude Heritage Medical Group! My physician is Dr Robert Ranney. Great guy! Not too hard to get in to be seen. There's a bit of a wait for physicals, but that should usually be scheduled far in advance anyway. I never have a problem getting in to see him for a sick visit though. Best time to call is early morning! New facility is easy to find. Very BIG & roomy. Very happy with the new location and great service Dr Ranney's office provides! read more

Well, same thing happened again. My youngest son developed a fever while we were out of state. Since then he's had the fever for about 5 days, so I called this morning to schedule an appointment. I was told the earliest they could see him is a week later, or go to theur Urgent Care, which don't get me started on that place. For a rather large hospital, they really need to get their stuff together. Maybe hire more staff, leave a few open slots for emergencies, take on less patients...something. My parents have been patients in the St. Jude Medical Group for many years and have been very happy with the care by the staff and doctors,not to mention how well integrated the network doctors and specialists are with their medical history. Each doctor knows what the other is doing, which a very good thing! My only complaint is how difficult it is to book an appointment over the phone. I just spent 30 minutes on the phone with a person that had such a thick accent I could not understand half of what she said! She was nice enough of course but for goodness sake get someone on the phones who speaks clearly and is experienced enough not to use improper English and bumble about waisting people's time. The Physicians offer excellent care. The front office can use a little more professionalism when dealing with the public. It is very difficult to schedule a follow up appointment or if you require non life threatening medical assistance but need to be seen sooner rather than later you will need to wait. It is difficult to get a hold of the scheduling department and they need to better understand the clients needs so that they can better prioritize appointments. read more

This hospital is so fast its mind blowing. I've been in and out of here in ER within a hour and a half while at UC Irvine took ten hours to tell me I had ammonia. That's when I got into UC Irvine at 3pm as well. Only complaint is sometimes it seems they are (meaning St Jude) are trying to get you out too quick. read more

Dr. James Yoon is one amazing PCP and I am always recommending him. He always has a smile, listens and has a friendly conversation with me. He isn't like other doctors that just come in for 2 min and leave. He cares about his patients and want to make sure they are healthy and feeling good. He also has one off the most amazing Medical Assistant Margarita. She is so friendly and make sure you are taken care off. She has amazing bed side manners. Always with a smile and great attitude. Anything you need from scheduling appointments to filling paper works she will help you out and make sure it's done soon. I give both Dr.Yoon and Margarita 5stars and will keep recommending him to friends and family. read more

What I like is they have several Primary Care and Specialists in the same building. I have scheduled PPC and Dermotology appts within an hour of each other; same building! Dr Anderson is the best! Needed an appointment, couldn't see me for two weeks, I had a reminder call from the office on Friday, showed up for my appointment on time, and was told they called me this morning to let me know the Dr. was out, checking my phone log, I did not receive a call from them and asked what number they called, they had a wrong number for me, even though I had received a confirmation call the previous Friday. Offered to reschedule me for next week... so I need to wait for 3 weeks to see a doctor? Staff could not even give a rip, going somewhere else. Dr. Mires has been my doctor since 2015. She moved to the current location 955 Imperial Hwy, and she has been a great doctor. I was there February due to a *** and a staff named Amanda and the assistant doctor Penny Makabenta was very supportive. They talked to me with a kind and warm voice as they tried to calm me down, and was otherwise very caring. Recently I revisited the office for my medical records, and the front staff Mrs. Pilar was very patient and extra helpful. I came here for the first time a few weeks ago to establish care with a new Primary Care Physician (Dr. Mires). I was absolutely satisfied with the patient care and customer service from the front desk staff, Medical Assistant and Phlebotomist. My PCP/Dr. Mires was compassionate and so easy to talk with. She was so patient discussing my concerns which was so important for me to find a doctor that I feel comfortable with. I really appreciate her taking the time to go over my history and willing to listen to me. Thank you Dr Mires! I am also so appreciative of their online Patient health Portal where I can check my own lab results and able to view the doctor's comments about the results. I can also send messages to the doctor if needed. This really allows me to take charge of my Health. My husband also sees Dr. Sidarta there and he is also very happy with the care!
