I dropped by to get a couple of bagels before my long drive back to Atlanta. I wanted to have a bagel in the morning before I hopped into my van to drive back home. I bought a garlic bagel and a whole wheat bagel. I also wanted a little bit of cream cheese so I purchased a serving size of garlic cream cheese. I thought the cream cheese was pricey (it was about the same price as a bagel) but luckily it was enough for both bagels. I had the garlic bagel and some of the cream cheese the next morning for breakfast before my drive home. They were both very good and filled me up. I only like bagels from bagel shops; I am getting picky about my bagels. These did taste like good NY style bagels which I love. The next day (back home) I had the last bagel... the whole wheat one. It was my fathers birthday and he went there with my sister to get breakfast. He ordered a poppyseed bagel which they had 5 left. While still ordering another person next to him was ordering and asked for the 5 poppyseed bagels. Instead of the lady taking care of him telling the other lady that my dad ordered one she didn't even care and let the lady sell the poppyseed bagels after my dad ordered one. Used to love this place but I don't know what's happening lately, most recent time I got a dozen completely stale, clearly day-old bagels at 9am. My mom was a regular for years but refuses to come back after continuously rude staff and a cashier even asking her why she didn't tip. Do they not pay their staff full wages? Not sure why a tip would be expected for a counter cashier unless their pay is being docked as "tipped employees" - in which case, we definitely do not want to support a store that can't properly compensate its own staff. Consistent, fresh food with reasonable prices. Quiche samples! Waitstaff is Eastern European, and they are very efficient. Lots of bagel choices, all kinds of spreads and the lox is good. I'm not a donut eater but they certainly have a ton of variety. Coffee selection is large. Only gripe is that the restrooms are disgusting. Update 12/15- The femaimanager there is a very rude person. She allows things to go on with one customer and then doesn't allow the same thing to go on with another for example she'll let a customer use a two dollar debit yet she will not allow the next customer wants to do the same thing to do it. Admittedly a bit off the beaten path, in a small strip mall off Indian Rocks Road with a more appropriately named flagship in St. Petersburg proper, it was mere moments after stepping foot into the shop frequently awarded Best Bagels in the Tampa Bay Area that we were greeted by friendly smiles and immediately identifying us as visitors the inquiries and recommendations came quickly, an eventual order of two coffees, a half-dozen donuts, and one fritter tallying a mere $8 with long tables ready to seat us as we indulged. Perhaps unwisely eschewing the eponymous boiled and baked delicacy in favor of items far more sweet it was immediately in the hot n' crispy apple fritter that I sank my teeth and although a bit more oily than some may prefer I personally found the fruit to dough ratio pleasantly skewed to the left as pockets of cinnamon helped curb substantial sweetness, a similar balance offered by the use of more than the usual amount of sour cream to craft an old fashioned with a nearly pudding-textured center that stands in the same echelon with reference standard versions found at old school doughnut shops speckled around the Chicago and LA. Somewhat underwhelmed by a blueberry ring whose artificial taste was only enhanced by rich icing but subsequently impressed by the manner in which cream cheese frosting helped to tame the richness of moist Red Velvet it was onward to filled options that the experience progressed and although the crème brûlée was more akin to typical custard beneath a slightly harder than average glaze the Florida favorite Key Lime Pie with added zip from a dusting of zest was truly delicious, a final few bites of Snicker's themed chocolate cake beneath peanuts and caramel proving a pleasant pairing to the locally roasted French Vanilla coffee. read more

been coming here for over five years, and over last year the quality in the staff has gone downhill. These young girls that are working the counter all have an attitude, they never smile, when they mess up an order they give you the attitude as if you were wrong. It was a total disgrace that I waited until 6 AM, looking forward to fresh bagels. Once inside I decided on a turkey & cheese bagel sandwich. Unfortunately, it wasn't until I returned to my condo to enjoy the sandwich with coffee that I discovered it was hard as a rock. Here I expected fresh bagels and they made me a sandwich with a day old leftover! I generally never bother posting these reviews unless it's going to be something positive but it was so upsetting to me to pay close to 7 dollars for a bagel sandwich that I couldn't even finish. That was totally disrespectful on their part and I will certainly never return. I have since been told the the place is under a different management than the one they had... Check your contents before you leave the parking lot... don't trust them to give you early morning freshness... read more

Interesting place - echoing other reviews, depending on the day can be ok or bad. Good donuts if your in the area but I would not go out of your way. The good: They sell donuts, bagels and coffee. The bagels are ok , ut not great. The coffee is equally ok and they make some blender drinks too. They also have various cream cheese spreads. The donuts are the star with a wide variety including big angel logs and fritters and unique donuts like a volcano donut! The bad: I've been there several times and the staff is generally disinterested, no courteous services or smiles - what a shame. Also when other people were on line in front of me I observed that different people behind the counter seem to have random different rules on prices for different customers, specials on dozen donuts etc. It's interesting because they have a lot of signs but none explaining the random specials they seemed to be making up. For example they offered me a Monday special dozen but then I was only allow d to order certain donuts, there were up charges for others and others I couldn't order in the dozen even for an up charge - she seemed to be making it up as she went. Then another customer behind me received a different dozen donut special with all new rules lol! Giving them the benefit of the doubt, I don't think they are doing it intentionally, but that they are just disorganized. Finally they seem to refuse to put the large donuts in a box unless you order a lot and then they immediately get stuck to the packaging paper and bag - another misstep since if they are in a box they are actually good - but then they go and ruin them by how they pack them. Summing up: Overall good donuts but by smashing donuts into bags, having unpleasant service and random pricing they only giving 2 stars - maybe take the donuts to go is the best option here since they are good. read more

Just visited st Pete bagel. Everything I got was awful. Both donuts were stale. I got a bagel toasted with butter and 1 toasted with cream cheese. They weren't even toasted. And they put damn near a 1/2 stick of butter in it. They didn't even spread it on. I opened it up and it was just a glob of butter. Both bagels were cold to the touch this isn't the first time visiting. Every visit has been terrible. And it ain't cheap. 3 strikes your out. read more

The place is the place to be for donuts, bagels and more. I get a dozen donuts every Friday for the crew. My favorites here are the lox and everything bagel with added sprouts. I always get a lb to go home with 1/2 dozen random bagels. Try a toasted blueberry bagel with some Salmon spread or lox. It sounds weird but oh boy is it good! Great bagels--chewy, sizable, generous with toppings, and good variety. Homemade spreads of at least 10 flavors. Old-fashioned donuts that are not overly sweet. The three women who served us at 11am on a random Sunday were very friendly and patient while we hmm'ed over the many options. Free small coffee with breakfast bagel purchase or for seniors. Very clean and brightly lit. Decoration is a little sparse but the space itself is large. Lots of tables and chairs for eating breakfast and reading the newspaper. I got the Mediterranean sandwich (hummus and sprouts and tomato and lettuce) on a toasted Everything Pumpernickel bagel (because I was in the mood for being a healthy hippie), which was filling and made my tummy happy. And then I got a Red Velvet donut with a Cream Cheese frosting (because then I was in the mood to indulge in the post-holiday spirit), which also made my tummy happy but confused. I was surprised that there haven't been other reviews, but I suppose this is because the clientele seemed to be older. This place is bustling though, with lots of people carrying out their breakfast. Horrible and Disgusting!!! I went in this Sunday morning and as I was waiting in line, I noticed that an employee had Unbandaged road rash looking fresh scrapes on her arm. She was serving food and touching the bags while her wounds We Not Bandaged!. Gross. This place should be Investigated. It's Cross contamination and very unsanitary. She could have some sort of contagious disease, or the scrapes could start oozing. Oh, and there sandwiches are microwaved. if I wanted a microwaved sandwich, I would've gone to Burger King. I gave them 2 tries. The first they got the order backwards swapping which bagel had egg and which was cream cheese. The second was blah. Every bagel I've tried there had a distinct onion flavor, even though I order plain or jalapeño. The staff are not well organized which slows done the process. The bagels are fresh. Wide assortment. Get out there early because they run out fast I went at 11 o'clock, the only thing they had left were the everything bagels. Ham and cheese egg croissant is OK. If I could give negative stars I would. I just left this place and felt like going go get my $13 back! We got a sausage and cheese croissant sandwich and a ham and cheese croissant sandwich...view the picture attached to see how horrible the quality was and on top of that my sausage was cold, just out of the frozen stage, the cheese was not melted & the croissant had been around a couple of days. I got a frozen caramel coffee & they put milk and powder for the flavoring, it was unbearable. My daughter said her chocolate milk was good (nestle bottled).
