I stop often for donuts. I have found the most fresh product here in Largo. St. Pete Bagel company has a very friendly and helpful staff. The donuts at St. Pete Bagel Company are soft and fresh. I have never encountered a doughnut that tasted as if it may have been sitting for any period of time. They make some very interesting flavors. Some of my favorites would be the pumpkin cake with cream cheese icing - it's seems to be seasonal, the blueberry bark cake doughnut, the coconut cream filled, and the apple fritter rings. I am a sucker for great donuts, I use to frequent another bakery in North St. Pete that was located near St. Petersburg General Hospital. However that place is now closed. I found this when looking for a replacement and have been very pleased. I can't wait to visit again. read more

The selection is huge. The service is unbeatable. I've never had a complaint. I usually go early and my bagel is handed to me before my receipt has even been printed. But, on busy days I've had to wait....maybe 3 minutes. Never a long wait. These people have a great system. Also great prices.....I can get a loaded bagel for less than an Egg McMuffin. The location on Indian Rocks Rd is about 1 minute from home and the traffic is nearly always easy to navigate. read more

Coming from a jersey girl herself this place has the best bagels I have ever had. You have to overlook the location because you will he sorry you didnt stop here. These bagels were soft and fluffy just the way I use to get them back in NJ. Their donuts are better then any I've ever eaten. These bagels and donuts are better then some shops in NJ and NY. The donuts came out hot and fresh and were the size of my head! The staff was very friendly and welcoming offering tons of options to put on my bagel and suggestions on which donuts are the best. Just ok. It is much better than going to the chain places like Dunkin or Einsteins....so I definitely recommend it over those. We ordered 3 different donuts and a breakfast bagel sandwich. After trying all 4, I felt the same about every one of them....they seemed flavorless and boring. The egg and cheese bagel sandwich didn't taste like anything at all....almost would think I was eating a plain bagel. The peach fritter and the cinnamon roll almost tasted the same, and I didn't get much taste out of either of them. The best thing we ordered was the creme brûlée donut. These guys make incredible Dounuts! The Bagels are awesome too, I usaully cut them in 3's there so big. They make great Coffee too. My Wife usaully gets some kind of drink concoction, sorry I don't know what it is but I know she love's it. The staff is very nice and never rude. I was so excited to come there today and get a few bagles and some donuts . We arrived there today at 12:10 , I do know that they close early afternoon, there were 2 jelly filled donuts left. I used to pretty much love any donut that they made. I am talking about the St Pete Bagel on 4th St. I just happened to be by this location. The donuts had the sugar on the outside and the donut itself was dry, you can't convince me that those were made fresh today. I'm so glad that I didn't get any bagels. Never again. After going thru this stay at home during this covid virus I was so ready for a good donut. :( . I don't think that they are connected to the St Pete Bagel on 4th St. , no way ! This place should be named The Best Donuts on Earth. Seriously, it doesn't get much better than this. I've tried many different kinds of donuts, from the simple glazed donuts to iced or frosted cake donuts covered in all sorts of goodies, they're all delicious. I've always been a fan of filled donuts, whether it's a bismark or long john type of pastry. This place scores an A on all kinds: they make an angel cream-filled long john, which is to die for, and rivaled by a Boston cream-filled bismark. The fruit-filled creations are great too, some of which are iced, some of which are covered in powdered sugar. Raspberry, lemon, Key Lime, angel cream, you just can't go wrong. The cake donuts are great too, whether it's chocolate cake with chocolate icing, or vanilla cake with baked coconut. The lighter yeast-type donuts are great too, and in their own right are better than the vaunted Krispy Kreme. This place isn't fancy, not the same type of place like Panera Bread where you'll want to linger for hours and read the paper. They do have tables and chairs for eat-in, but it's more of a carry-out place to me. They also do bagels and coffee, tho I've only had bagels once (very good). When I'm in the mood for a sweet, sugary morning treat nothing beats the St. Pete Bagel & Donut Co. on Indian Rocks road! read more

St. Pete Bagel Co. needs an interior make-over. It's sort of retro and basic. It doesn't exude confidence nor any feeling that what you're getting here is going to taste any good. The coffee is served in those plastic pump containers, not very exciting. Starbucks Coffee would have been far better. But, oh, my, the garlic toasted bagel with veggie cream cheese was incredible. At ten am, one table was occupied when I entered the store to buy a half dozen bagels to go. This was my first time in this store. Two of the three folks behind the counter near the register, were munching on food and ignoring my entrance. A third woman took my order, made me repeat it and seemed frustrated as I changed my mind on "flavors" as she filled the too small bag. When I got home, the bagels were all dry -- like day-old left uncovered. I cut them in half across so there was a top and bottom -- and here's the biggie -- the bottoms all tasted the same. The bottoms were not covered with the onion, garlic or 'everything.' They were all the same -- VERY dry and bread-y -- not like a fresh NY bagel. The pumpernickel didn't taste any different than the others. Additionally, the one bialy I got was just like the bagels but with onions in the "hole.' It didn't seem baked, but rather (supposedly) boiled like the other bagels. This WAS NOT a good experience and I will not return. read more

Try the bacon quiche, or the breakfast sandwich on a jalapeño bagel, and finish it off with one of their cinnamon sugar donuts. I love the St Pete Bagel Company's location on 4th St. so it is disappointing that I can only give them three stars here. However, at this location I had a three star experience so I shalt give them three stars. The apple fritter here was amazingly delicious and really good. It was covered in glaze and stuffed with lots of apple filling. The red velvet donut, however, was undercooked in the inside and tasted like donut batter instead of a cooked donut. However, the donut did come for free with a coffee, at least on Sunday, the day I came here. The everything bagel was ok, although definitely not as good as the everything bagel at the 4th street location. I ordered an iced latte which took them twenty minutes to make, yet I was the only customer in there. The bagel/donut shop exudes classic American bagel/donut shop vibes. Overall, a mediocre location of the glorious St. Pete Bagel Co but stick with the location on 4th street. read more

As a fairly new customer, I've enjoyed their donuts, bagels and sandwiches for a few weeks now. Obviously the quality was good enough to keep me coming back. However, the customer service can be shaky at times, and my experience today just put them on my "do not return" list. I showed up an hour before closing time and was greeted by two incredibly angry looking women. I felt as if my business was an inconvenience and my food was slapped on the counter without so much as an acknowledgement from the employee. I walked in on a Monday morning and the place was pretty busy and I patiently waited in line. The young girl at the counter took my order. The owner preps the food and I couldn't understand what order she was calling out. So, I nicely repeated what my order was and she responded by huffing and puffing and very rudely giving me my order. I work in customer service and my family owns there own restaurant in this area. This kind of service is unheard of and she needs to definitely work on it. I discovered this place on yelp after wanting a good bagel that didn't come from one of the chains. Holy cow am I glad I did. The bagels were incredible and the spreads were light and whipped and very flavorful. They also have a great donut selection and while I never order donuts I had to come home with some. Red velvet, blueberry and also chocolate mousse. The best I've ever had. I would highly recommend giving this local business a try. I even got one of my bagels and cream cheese free for checking in. There is one word to describe the place. "wow". Simple decor but extremely clean. The food was delicious. The bagels are the best I've had in Florida. The egg salad was made to perfection. Lighthouse Donuts was closer to our condo, but, based on yelp reviews, we decided to drive the extra distance to St. Pete's Bagel Co. It was well worth the drive. We got a dozen donuts for just under $10. My 10 year old son, a big Dunkin Donuts fan, was impressed. The donuts are huge and extremely fresh-tasting. My favorite was the key lime donut.
