The most adorable bakery I've ever been to. It's like being transported to Europe when you walk in. Organic pastries made daily by French speaking nuns and a huge coffee and espresso menu to boot. Be prepared to wait as the staff is elderly and there are only a few employees. The almond croissant was my favorite thing that I tasted, it was perfect buttery and flaky and not overly sweet

    Beautiful setting and delicious coffee

Finally! A pleasant would feel good about spending money on lattes and goods. This place is brand new and needs our support! They take the profits and use them to help others seriously there are actual nuns running this place

Eat, drink, support good cause! Proceeds go to help those in need. The Nuns of St Roger Abbey make organic treats and coffee in this quaint new French bakery/coffee shop. Take food to go or eat in at one of the table cloth covered tables. From savory crepes and croissants to big assortment of desserts - you can't go wrong with any pick. Buttery croissants are delicious, mushroom crepe is so good! The service is a bit slow, so you need to embrace your French side and enjoy some downtown like Europeans do. ;). A great new winner in the heart of Birmingham.

This is the cutest little patisserie, with nuns running it. Every employee was kind, the place is meticulous, and the pastries are delicious. We will be back!

Very nice atmosphere and delicious treats. It's organic and run by French nuns. Not open on Monday and Tuesdays.

We've been here several times on the weekend (even with the kids). The line is never too long, although it can look long but it moves quickly. All the pastries are in the refrigerated case or sitting atop of the counter for you to ogle and salivate at while you patiently wait to give your order. Everything we've tried has been delicious, almost too decadent from the cakes to croissants to sandwiches. We've also had their coffees and hot chocolate. Can't go wrong with a handcrafted beverage to warm you up or cool you down. They do provide a water carafe on the house you just have to go up and get water yourself either way the cups provided. There is a side register near the exit, not sure if that's just for coffee or pickups. Haven't investigated that yet. They have some seating inside of tables and bar seating but nothing more the a 2-3 seats per table, not a place for a large group. Outside on the patio they have large umbrellas and heat lamps depending on the weather. It's also better luck to find a table that can accommodate 4 outside, although the tables are small cafe tables to it's a little cramped for 4, perfect for 2-3. They have low and high top tables available. If you do have a larger group, there is a park a block and a half up Eton that has picnic tables and benches so you can always take your treasures to go and enjoy some people watching at the park. Ample parking is available in the lot just make sure you go in the correct driveway at the north end since it's a one way in/out situation.

Honestly, I was a bit overwhelmed when I came in. There's a tea bar area, the loose leaf tea wall, pastries and other desserts, swag, a tasting area, and apparently it was trivia night tonight. I experienced all of this in just the first minute or two of entering. And it was packed! I really appreciate the time taken to explain the shop to me and walk me through many of the teas. Although they were busy, I didn't feel rushed (there were 2-3 people working the registers) and it felt very personal chatting. I was able to smell a bunch, and could really tell the differences in them. I ended up getting 3 50g bags and 2 sample bags, plus some stickers and pins. Really excited to try these out. Their range goes from darker to lighter, and they have a wide variety of black, green, rooibos, and herbal teas/blends.

They are selling really cute tea ornaments and they have other things like tea pots and cards with funny phrases like "It was you Oolong." They don't have a physical menu because the flavors constantly change. You can look online but for the most part, have to stand behind the counter in diff areas to see alll the flavors! I spotted Almond Milk Tea and she let me smell it and I was sold! It smelled wonderful! When it was actually brewed, it was ok though. It doesn't really have milk in it either :0p My MIL got the Hisbiscus (a tad too sour) and my husband got the Japanese Cherry green tea (that was good and has a mild flavor if you like that sort of thing). They have signs on the table that there is no Wifi because they encourage unplugged conversations and connections.
