I am so happy to rewrite my review. Happy to report that Stacey is no longer with the bagel shop. Hip hip hooray. Best thing that could ever happen. I am back because of it. The bagels R excellent - try the amazing egg everything. What a pleasant place. There is no question the staff is thrilled and always nice. There is no doubt in my mind it's because she's is no longer there. Such a pleasure to go there. Don't miss it. Nice local town bagel place with a large variety of bagels, staff is very friendly, and place is quite clean! Highly recommend egg everything bagel as you can't get those in NYC. downside is cash only and limited seating. read more

I been going to this place for years. I have always had the same problem time after time. The younger male employees are the worst. They don't listen,messing up order, are slow working who love to play around with one another as the place start to get busy. When I say I been coming to this place for years it's cause the rare times I do I always forgot how bad the service was for me & my order. Even the customers eating inside the place barely have a bite or two & they already have a problem with the food complaining to the employees within a rush a hour or just while it's a normal pace people are on line ordering can't order because the person eating in are shouting for behind saying their order was incorrect. You people at Stacie's bagels are the worst for keeping the guys employed for as long I been coming in there. Then again they could be the owners kids & they never have to worry about finding employment anywhere else. I beg you read just have a done by the elderly lady there she's atleast the save grace of the business. I really wish I could give 0 stars. First of all, the cross contamination in this place is horrendous. Touching peoples cards, cash & the nasty cash register then going back and making bagels in the same gloves. Not wiping off the knives or boards from the previous customers. Also the big asian guy is nasty and he was touching his phone and then making food with the same gloves. It really was terrible to see. Masks under the nose as well. I really enjoyed going to this bagel place but I just walked in there and the two employees in there only had face masks covering their mouth. Why bother even to wear a mask if you can't wear it properly? Shows you they don't take cleanliness or customers Heath seriously. Let me start by saying that this WAS my favorite bagel store... WAS... Ever since Stacy's was sold (now for the second time) there has been a steady decline in product along with an increase in price. This is the second weekend that I have been there at around 10:30 in the morning to stand on a 15 minute line only to be told that there we NO bagels left and if I wanted to wait another 20 minutes there would be some available! I've been here 4 times and every time I leave annoyed. First of all, the ladies attitude behind the counter in UNREAL. 3 times I've ordered here and all 3 times my order was wrong. First order was a BEC SPK (it was a plain egg sandwich I received), second order SEC SPK (was missing the sausage), 3rd time my toasted bagel with cream cheese and jelly was missing the toasted and jelly part. Today, my 4th visit, I just walked out after the attitude I received after ordering a toasted bagel with cream cheese and a turkey sandwich - decided to add another turkey wrap and the little attitude woman was shaking her head and questioning the other boy what happened and he said "I don't know, at first it was only 2 sandwiches". Bagels are fine, can't say much about the other food. My issue here is employees don't change their gloves after each person. The problem is, they touch money, and then touch food. Over and over. It's like they're trying to protect their hands, instead of our food. Think about the dirty coins, let alone bills. If they change their gloves, I'd say they were a solid shop at least for a bagel. We love Stacie's Bagels. The owner is very friendly and accommodating. We were going there a lot at one time, and she offered to make us light cream cheese, because sometimes she didn't make it. That was nice of her. They make some interesting bagels, such as French Toast flavor and Pumpkin in season. Very fresh and decent size bagels. I have heard great things about this place and was referred to them by a family member. But I have to say I wasn't impressed at all. Maybe it's just me because the place was very busy On a Sunday morning. When I took the dozen bagels home, they were a bit undercooked and a little blah in taste. Like I said, they must be doing something right for the amount of foot traffic they had but I have found much better. Give it a try and see for yourself. read more

Went there on 9/17/2021. It was around 1:30 and the woman behind the counter was rude. She seemed annoyed that we came in to get a sandwich. I asked her if they were closing because I thought that was the reason why, but she said no we are open till 3. So please tell me what the hell is your problem. My friend paid and was going to use her credit card but decided to pay cash. Once we sat down to eat ( the sandwich was fine but the pickle tasted like it was floating in sewage) We left and went to CVS. My friend then realized that she must have left her card on the counter. I tried to call there and no one would pick up the phone even though the place was literally empty. I rushed back and asked the guy who was the only one there at that time if he found a card and he said no. The woman that waited on us left while we were there. I am convinced she took the card. I would like the owner to reach out to me so I can explain further. I know Stacey doe not own it anymore and if I was her I would have them change the name so there is no confusion that she no longer is the owner. read more

FOR SERVICE: My family has been going to this bagel shop for years. The food is always good and the line is usually really long but no problem. But the other day I stopped in late afternoon to see if I could get my hands on some bagels for my freezer. Sign says it's open until 3. I walk Into an unlocked door at 2:55 walk up to the counter and ask "hi, do you guys have any bagels left". The look I get from the lady and young guy working there was amazing. The women says "we are closed". I say in response, "ok well the doors unlocked and the sign says 3". She asks if I'm kidding and States "it's not after 3 yet" and then walks over and stares at the clock! The guy disappeared without acknowledging me by the way. I look at the girl and said it was fine and that I didn't realize it was such a big deal to sell me a few loose bagels if they had them around. She continued to look at me like I was an asshole before saying... "no that's ok" while still looking for my other 6 heads. I understand that they want to close but I was always told closing time is closing time, and when I worked at a store we served everyone who was in the door before closing time. read more

My go to bagel place when I am in the area. Stacie's bagels takes the cake of being the best. I used to go here at least once a week in high school when my school had an open campus. When I lived in Ronkonkoma, it was the only place I would go as well. Now, I take trips from Selden (I know it isn't that far, but I probably pass about 10 bagel places) just to get their bagels. I love their egg sandwiches, and their french toast bagel toasted with butter is out of this world. I recommend Stacie's bagels as a customer for the last 12 years! read more

It doesn't get better than Stacie's, by far the best bagel place on long Island. I live pretty far but this place is on the way to my place of work, so even if I have to wait an extra 25 minutes before breakfast, I will happily do so just to stop in to this top notch establishment. Stacie used to own the place and she, her mom and her husband used to run the place -- I believe they sold and moved. One thing I LOVED about this place was that the price was always the same when you ordered the same thing. You know when you order the same thing every day and a different person would ring it up and you'd get different prices all the time? That would make me nuts. The place was run like a proper Mom and Pop store. Exemplary. Now? Not sure if that still is the case, as the new ownership doesn't seem to have the same style with customers. The bagels are ok, just not my favorite. B/E/C on an everything is delicious as always. I dont do homefries so I can't comment on that. Place is clean, friendly and modern, so no problems there. Meh. I've experienced better bagels in the area. My biggest pet peeve about this place are the gloves they use. They are handling money then your food. stacie advertises "wacky wednesday" a dozen bagels for $6...in all the local papers...but don't go there during any storms....almost 2 yrs ago after a snow storm, & just today 10 days after hurricane sandy. Instead of $6 she charged $9...very bad business stacie. she said the truck didn't come in?? but your open & selling bagels...maybe you should put "weather permitting" on your coupons! read more
