$15.75 hungry man (no mods - 2 eggs w/ bacon, sausage links, home fries, toast AND 3 pancakes AND COFFEE) $18.70 (sub home fries for 2 hash browns) $12.95 (florentine omelette w/ 3 pancakes (sub pancakes for french toast)) $27 NY strip steak (w/ potato & veggies, side soup or salad, & dessert) $3 soda $3.50 orange juice did my research with diners before settling on a place. i am SO GLAD i got to try this spot out. great portions, food and prices! the HUNGRYMAN combo is an amazing deal that includes coffee. the pancakes are great and better than a lot of places ive tried. If you substitute pancakes (3) out for french toast, it is only one piece. Not a big deal breaker as i am a big back and was full regardless. service was attentive. this is definitely on my recommended list. i want to come back to try their sandwiches, lunch/dinner specials.

Looking forward to a 2nd visit

Cute little pancake house / diner. Breakfast available all day. We opted for lunch today. I had one of the lunch specials which was crispy chicken cutlet sandwich with fresh mozzarella, arugula & roasted red peppers & fries, with house made balsamic dressing on the side. My husband had their Italiano fried chicken breast with marinara and melted mozzarella served open with French fries. Both sandwiches were very tasty & filling. (We had plenty to take with us) . Our waitress was very friendly & attentive. This was my 2nd time here and will definitely be back. Note: parking lot is small - but additional parking is across the street.

best breakfast i've had in north jersey. I ordered the socal bowl, it was delicious. This place can be packed but we didn't wait longer than 25 minutes to get seated. The staff is personal and fun. They will always fill up your coffee. Overall great experience, i will be back

The Stack/Peanut Butter Pancakes: These flapjacks were packed with peanut butter chips; they were so tasty I finished them in a "Jif"

Food was decent. Nothing really stood out to me. Eggs were regular pancakes were good. Service was good. We were able to get seated fairly quickly despite it being busy. The only downside was that it seems they were trying to rush me and my friend to eat and go . Ambiance seems to be pretty chill and decent.

Never disappoints! The place, the food, the service, everything is amazing! My family and I have been coming here for years! It's our favorite place! Rare gem, family oriented owned and operated. The environment is very friendly, and welcoming, I am a regular!

Wait time: 10/10 Service: 4/10 Food: 6/10 Ambience: loud, family friendly, Price point: 3/10 Would you return: possible but not for breakfast Home potatoes with no seasoning, onions or peppers, just sliced potatoes slapped on a grill. The eggs over medium were actually good. The Taylor ham was salty. The western omelette was ok and the pancakes (buttermilk and pecan) were just o and k. Quality was definitely not worth the cost for the breakfast items. Also they got my order wrong twice. I had heard good things about this place but unfortunately I was not a fan of the breakfast service.

    Grilled chicken sandwich

Came Saturday around 2pm and was pleasantly surprised that it had open tables and no wait. -Service: Diane was very friendly and personable. Food came out very fast- the fastest ever for a diner. It was def less than 10minutes. -Food: -grilled chicken sandwich: no grill marks nor accompanying grill flavor but juicy and decent amount of chicken. -philly cheesesteak: waitress said the meat was house-made. Very good. Served in soft, toasted bread. -classic gyro: a little oily. Good amount of meat. Could have used a bit more onion for flavor. -accompanying side fries: disappointed as they were pretty soaked in oil so I couldn't eat them -banana and chocolate chip pancakes: stack of 5. Soft but cooked through. Excellent! Really hit the spot! Overall, very good food in terms of flavor and portions and excellent service. Look forward to returning.

Quick service! Came around 11 on a Saturday morning and expected a line but we were seated right away. The restaurant has a huge seating area on both sides of the restaurant. They also offer outside seating. Some tables come with a clear barrier screening unless you are sitting in the middle of the room. Food I ordered: Pancakes and bacon: 6.5/10: their batter was underwhelming. It was more savory then sweet. Huge portions (5-6 pancakes) which is a plus! Hash Browns: 9/10; greasy but very tasty The food is very affordable and huge portions are given. Definitely come hungry!! Parking is a bit tricky though so beware.

The Hungry Man Breakfast and 2 Egg Breakfast
    Robert C.

The Hungry Man came with pancakes, sausage bacon, home fries and toast. Eggs had onions and goat cheese added to it for my pleasure. The egg breakfast was basic but good. The waitress was very friendly and intuitive. The restaurant felt but a diner but very quaint. Outdoor sitting available with view of the Passaic River.

Mexican omelette and my side of French toast.

Here we are. The fastest day off the week is here. It's Sunday and our new family Sunday routine is getting breakfast. Today's adventure brings us to "The Stack" officially Stack Pancake and Steak House. I call the order in and our orders usually aren't that simple since there's five of us and the woman says.... "Ok, give us five minutes". I actually even had to say.. "Wait, did you say five minutes?". Wow. Awesome. Throw on my shoes, make sure I have a mask and I'm already running out the door. I arrive there and there was a couple eating on the side on the picnic tables. Awesome view of normalcy. Being that I only live five blocks away, I arrived in three minutes. Owners were great. Offered me something to drink while I waited. As promised, two minutes later, our food was ready. That's right.... Five minutes was spot on. I ordered the Mexican omelette (jalapenos, cheddar, onions and side of salsa). I subbed French toast for the regular toast. My wife got the bacon and American cheese omelette. All three boys had Belgium waffles and sides for them consisted of an order of bacon, sausage and of course fries for PBIII (our youngest). Mexican omelette..... It was average. I've only been here one but barely remember it. It's basically a diner. Which obviously isn't a bad thing but you need to be mentally prepared for diner fare. French toast I was kind of let down with. I was actually excited about getting French toast but the feeling from the toast wasn't mutual. My wife said the bacon and cheese omelette was very bland. She opted with a side of pancakes and dismissed it as blase. I tried a piece of my son's Belgium waffle and that was pretty good. I'm thinking I should've got some bananas and strawberries and that would've been one hell of a waffle. The sausage was very good as well. Two good sized links and pretty tasty. Fries were basic fries. Bottom line is the service is excellent. Looking for a quick breakfast while staying locally? The Stack is a very good option. Reasonably priced and your basic breakfast fix. Now they have lunch and dinner, as well as steaks. I can't advise on that nor have I seen a review on their steak, so for now, stick with a nice waffle and a side of sausage. Throw some fresh fruit and whipped cream on that waffle and you got yourself a nice little breakfast.

    Allegedly that is Turkey gravy

What really stood out was the attentiveness of the staff--they genuinely made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. I ordered the breakfast burrito along with a vanilla, honey, cinnamon latte with espresso. The burrito was different from what I'm used to--instead of being filled with potatoes, the sausage was the highlight. It was packed with flavor, very saucy, and incredibly filling. I loved the unique twist. My friend ordered the avocado toast (without egg) and the chickpea salad sandwich. Both looked fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. We also enjoyed our lattes, which were smooth and perfectly balanced with the vanilla, honey, cinnamon, and espresso. Overall, Sugar Tree Café offers delicious food, excellent coffee, charming décor, and attentive service. It's cozy, genuine, and the kind of place where you can tell there's a lot of love going into what comes out of the kitchen. And speaking of that kitchen--you can see it from pretty much every seat in the house. Watching several cooks navigate what looks like an incredibly tiny space is almost mesmerizing. Somehow, they move around each other seamlessly, and the best part? The food comes out FAST. My wife went with the hummus, and it was creamy, flavorful, and delicious. But the surprise star on the side was the salted dried kale chip--such a simple little addition, but ridiculously good. Then came my pancakes. Out of this world. Small in diameter, but super thick, with a beautifully crispy exterior giving way to an interior that was fluffy, light, and airy. I've tried making this style of pancake at home countless times, and I still have absolutely no idea how to get that texture. The syrup and berries were the perfect finishing touches. Everything just worked. I've made and had soooo many pancakes in my life, and this is easily top 3 best. The Corner is the kind of place that makes you start planning your next visit before you've even left. I'll be dreaming about getting back to this Corner.

There's free street parking right up front. I've been here twice and both visits were positive experiences. The cafe is small, but cozy. The greenery and natural lighting make it a welcoming space to meet up with a friend over coffee and pastries or to study. There's a few tables, a couch, and stool seating facing the window. There's also free wifi and outlets. The tables are on the smaller side and the cafe isn't that big, so it's probably not best for large groups. Their menu is simple and a bit limited. Honestly... I prefer it that way! They have your core espresso drinks and a few paninis and croissant sandwiches. They bake their own pastries fresh on the premises. I recommend trying their cookies - they are huge, soft, and chewy! They also specialize in custom cakes for special occasions. Everything is reasonably priced. Baristas are sweet and efficient. They make some tasty iced lattes! The espresso is strong, but not too bitter. It has just the right balance of coffee and milk. I recently tried the Ham Solo sandwich ($10) which included scrambled egg, ham, cheddar, and avocado on a croissant with a side of chips. It wasn't bad, but I wouldn't order it again. The egg was dry and the ham and cheese tasted like those cheap, pre-sliced ones from grocery stores. If I lived closer, I could see myself stopping by more often. Unfortunately I took my food to-go and when I opened my bagel from the foil it was just a regular everything bagel. Not a big deal, but the ticket even said egg everything so not sure what happened. It was also quite dry, any ketchup that was on there got soaked up by the hash brown. My boyfriend ordered a breakfast burrito and really enjoyed it though! The frappe was pretty good. I ordered it because I thought it would be frozen and it was a hot day, but I learned Greek frappes are not served that way!
