There were some pet stains too which neither husband or wife blinked twice at. I knew something good was in the works when I met the couple at the front door with my two large dogs and the dogs simply melted with love in their presence. John even brought back an area rug with an outside cleaning that I thought was headed for the dumpster. I could not be more pleased with my experience and when it was time for them to head off into the sunset I am sure my dogs were ready to go with them too without a backward glance. . . . John is the perfect business man! He answers his phone, sends appointment reminders, shows up on time, after letting you know he's on his way! THEN he sets up with corner protectors so the hose doesn't rub on your walls or furniture. He does quality work and doesn't try to up sell you the minute he gets there. (I hate that!!!) He sets up a huge fan to speed up the drying process and he will send you a 6-month reminder. What more could you want? We will be loyal customers as long as we have carpet and a boat!!! read more

John did an incredible job, and now my rugs look like new! I searched for a carpet cleaning service after my dog got sick on all of the rugs in our house after eating buckets of Halloween candy (red dye, chocolate, green and black spots, yep!). The stains were gnarly, and even after hours of careful spot treatment, all of the stains were visible. Our rugs are a soft white, and we thought they were done for. Just when we were about to haul them out to the trash can, we decided to explore our options on Yelp. I called John at 7 a.m. and got hold of him right away. He offered to pick them up immediately and take them away to clean and bring them back, but said he could also come in a few hours that same day to clean them. Great service and great job! I found John on Yelp and contacted him after viewing a series of inspiring before and after photos posted to the site. He called me back almost immediately despite being on vacation which spoke to his level of service. We arranged for him to come and give me a quote and I hired him on the spot to clean the carpets that my 4 and 5 1/2 year old boys had managed to destroy. The before and after difference was nothing short of amazing. I had all but given up hope on our carpet and upholstery but thanks to John and his team they look fantastic. Wow, what a great job. We had two stairs that I accidently overcleaned with our portable spot remover. Within about 3 days, the two steps wreaked, but looked clean. I tried all the homemade remedies (removed the carpet from the stairs, baking soda, water and vinegar) several times, and only made small improvements. A couple years prior, we got rid of all the extra carpet when we cleaned out our storage unit. Score one for me there, as my wife always claims I am a pack rat. Had we kept those remnants, I could have easily just cut two new stairs. Saw John's reviews, called and told him my situation. He did have a minimum charge, but worked out well as we got two area rugs cleaned as well as the two stairs. He also reinstalled the carpet and used the right tools to tuck and secure the carpet. The carpet was still wet when he left, which was expected. We kept fans on them for two days. No sign of smell. A week later, and I'm happy to report that we are still smell free. He did it! He saved me quite a lot of money having to re-carpet the whole upstairs!! read more

I found John's Carpet Care through Nextdoor App, and glad I did! Steve was our technician - he was prompt (early!), very kind, very thorough! Our carpets look and feel great, it's a pleasure to walk on them! We will definitely be a repeat customer of theirs. Only advice - take our any wall plug air fresheners you may have before the clean. I think Steve knocked one off the wall in our bedroom, and when he put it back, he put it on upside down and all of the oil has leaked down onto the freshly cleaned carpet now. I'd definitely recommend John's Carpet & Upholstery! I made the horrible mistake of spilling a candle (along with fragments of three black wicks on my carpet). It was seriously horrible- like three feet by one foot of wax with black spots all over it which somehow smeared into the carpet. Honestly- we weren't sure if it was even possible to get it all out. John came with a helper and they got it all out! My carpet has never looked better (and we are in an apartment with pretty old carpet). They also cleaned our couch and outdoor cushions. After seeing how much better my carpet looked, I realized this is something I want to do at least once a year.
