We cut our bar teeth at this place back in the late 70s. Recently reintroduced ourselves to it and very glad we did. Great food, Good selection of brews, full bar and half price pizza on Mondays and Tuesdays with other nightly specials. The service is pretty good for as busy as this place can get. Great hometown bar feel. Our server today, Todd, was a bit gruff, direct, loud, a bit pushy, but he knew his stuff, he knew the menu, knew what we were there for and made sure we got it. He was on the ball with his service. He is someone that may be an aquired taste but by the end of the meal we had grown to love this guy. I would recommend Stained Glass Pub any day. read more

Good spot for happy hour! The beers are super cheap (less than $3 for a Sierra Nevada? Yes please!) and multiple $5 appetizers for happy hour. Our table tried the hot crab dip, wings, pizza, and Irish nachos, and everything was delicious! My girlfriend and I were in a big hurry to go to a sporting event. I explained the situation to the bartender and placed my order right then and there. The food came up very quickly. Since this place isn't a big chain you get to have more input on the process I guess. The pizza at this place is the best I've ever had. Half pepperoni and sausage and half banana peppers. The Pizza is excellent! That said..... The service not so much--but I fault management! How can the very busy bartender-almost always working alone-tend bar, take food orders, and serve? It's a recipe for poor, grumpy, cold, and late food service. I wonder if poor staffing numbers are a consequence of front line management or worse the owners. They supposedly know their peak hours. Hire some part-timers to help improve customer service. No one came to the table for us to pay our bill. Stood in front of the cash register and was still ignored. This place is a great bargain for decent food. We really enjoyed the happy hour wings (both cost and the quality were excellent). The large pizza is huge and was pretty tasty (also... it reheated well at home!). They have a kids menu (my son enjoyed his chicken tenders and fries---and I thought the fries were good as well). The beers were a great price at happy hour and they actually had a decent selection (though their menu didn't give any descriptions and the server was less than helpful). Aside from somewhat dark and dated decor (what do you expect, based on the outside?), the only real drawbacks I saw were the tight parking lot (we were there at dinner time on a Friday) and the slightly surly/over-worked service. We'll definitely return... hopefully for a happy marriage of happy hour and half-priced pizza on a Monday or Tuesday! Went out with coworkers to this place and I'm not too sure of it. The food was good. We got wings, fries and a pizza. The wings were good. The fries were the bomb. Our softball team has been coming to the pub faithfully for the last 15 years. I personally been coming for 12 years. The pizza is amazing and service is awesome. I am only giving this two stars because of the service. I am really trying to like this place because I do like the food, but the service is horrendous. I have had 3 terrible experiences in a row at this place. I sat in the bar area last night and a waitress came by one time in an hour and a half. She handed me a menu and that was it. I had to go to bar to order and get drinks. So did everybody sitting in that area. She came around to talk to friends but never stopped at a single table to take an order. As I mentioned, this is not the first time I had this type of service. They act like you are not even sitting there. I wish they would pay a little more attention to their customers. read more

Best thin crust pizza!!!!!!! Parking is a pain however. Overall this is a hole in the wall but I think it gives Ledos a run for their money.

The kids grilled cheese was a slice of american cheese. The pizza was mediocre according to the person who ate it. The wings were cold, the wing sauce was mediocre. And I left over half of the inedible burger behind. (Also, although I was asked if I wanted mayo and said 'yes' there wasn't any. I guess this is another restaurant that doesn't understand that there IS NO DAIRY in mayonnaise.) read more

We all know that The Stained Glass is known for their great pizza. Well, I ordered Crab Soup, and The Crab Cake with a baked potato. The soup was tasty but didn't taste like crab, it was more like a spicy vegetable soup. The Crab Cake was good, lump with little to no filler but was ice cold and the baked potato was underdone and came with no toppings ( bacon, cheese) like previously stated. However service was great as always. My recommendation, stick with the pizza. read more

Definitely a "hole in the wall" and reminiscent of a Cheers type bar. The service was very friendly. We went for 1/2 price pizza on Tuesday night. The price was right, but the pizza was not the best. The crust was very thin and it did not have much flavor. The buffalo wings were good. We returned the following night for 1/2 price burger night. Again, the price was right but the burgers were not great. I asked for my burger medium and my brother asked for medium well-- we both received well done. There was no seasoning on the burgers and they were over cooked. The battered fries were pretty good and the beer was cold and refreshing. It was also nice being recognized by our waitress from the previous night. I would return for the homey atmosphere, the alcohol and the buffalo wings but not for the pizza or burgers. read more

I may be biased because I love a good dive bar. The kind of place where your jeans and t-shirt are just fine. The pitchers are cheap, the pizza is really good (half price Monday & Tuesday!) and the people are friendly. What else do you need? The sandwiches are also good, but steer clear of the salads. Remember coming here when I moved to the area 3 years ago for almost a year. The owner is obviously overworked and it is easy to see when you look at how overall place is run, as it seems to trickle down and envelop the overall atmosphere. In other words, Service can be slow, slightly impatient, moving fast but not always with a purpose. I did not try the food because, judging by how long you need to wait for the beer, the food might take quite a bit of time. So-so beer selection. This is a dive bar, but the kind that isn't trying to be all (annoyingly) trendy about it, so that is a plus, could be cleaner. read more

Stopped here to meet up with a friend in order to attend a nearby concert. Ordered a medium pizza with pepperoni, canadian bacon, mushrooms and jalapeños. I didn't have high expectations but was pleasantly surprised by how tasty it was. Nothing fancy, seemed like it was something you may have thrown together at home, but it was a good and honest pizza. This is my local bar. It is a great low-key bar, and it is super close to the metro. They aren't fancy but they have a good selection of beer on tap and plenty of tvs. Their beer prices can't be beat, and they have 1/2 off pizza on Monday and Tuesday and 1/2 off burgers on Wednesdays. They have the best pizza in the area without question. They are also one of the only places that still has hot roast beef sandwiches on their menu. Everything I order here is delicious. The bartenders are always great and take really good care of us, too. I will warn you that parking can be tight. As I said the metro is literally right next-door, so you can park there. Or you can park across the street at the shopping center. There is always a ton of space there. They also have 2 parking areas and frequently there is space at their other parking area. read more
