Gluten friendly bagels…read more Hear me out here when I say, there are no words to describe how amazing these are. Homemade, scratch bagels, gluten removed, light, fluffy, soft, squishy. I used to be able to eat their regular bagels, but now I'm gluten free, I have an intolerance. My husband and I travel (sometimes very far) in search of the best gluten free products. (We have flown to Nevada, twice, to get our favorite gluten free pizza). I was so excited when I saw that Comfort created a gluten friendly bagel, took the drive to their Westfield location and tried one. I bought a couple to take home incase they were good. I SHOULD'VE BOUGHT THEM ALL OUT FOR THE DAY. Unfortunately I was already on my way home when I realized how delicious they were, but I will now be traveling 30 minutes to Westfield every-time they have a batch out for sale. I had a plain gluten friendly bagel with scallion cream cheese (homemade as well) and it was so delicious, not even overly chewy! You could buy these bagels if you are gluten intolerant and use them as bread. They're perfect. Pictured here is what I bought to take home, gluten friendly Asiago Parmesan bagels and roasted garlic cream cheese. The gentleman working gave me a sample of the cream cheese and it was delicious- had to buy it! They have a LARGE selection of homemade spreads and they have gluten free sesame and everything bagels as well. Trust me when I say RUN, DONT WALK, to get one (or 15) of these GF bagels. They are so worth it. I'd drive hours to get these, I'd probably fly to get them too. Just try one. Thank me later.

The fish was delightfully salted and greasy with a gorgeous lemon flavor. Knish was a nice surprise savory and tender, though could use a little more potato to fill it out and make it a meal rather than a snack. I went the carnivorous route, but was very impressed by the spread of vegan offerings. Will definitely be back.

I opted for the "Nana" ...choice of chicken or tuna salad w lettuce, bacon, and tomato on a wrap or bagel. For me, they had me at rye. Ate outside on one of the two wrought iron tables. Perfectly made, even down to the "lightly toasted" that I requested. And generous amounts of bacon and chicken salad. Proverbial "hit the spot". Fancy Bagels also features 27 different bagels, all baked fresh daily. Additionally, 12 different flavored schmears, including cannoli! There will have to be another time. Not quite as good as Astoria Bagel, but that's 120 miles away plus the Triboro Bridge toll, no place to park, etc, etc. I'll take Fancy Bagels. 5 carraway stars
